I honestly don't know what all the hate is about with UK battle rappers. I'm from the US and I love it. The crowd has fun and they don't scream every 3 seconds interpreting the battle. It's a good vibe all around. The way battle rap should be.

Shotty handled Math. Math took a big gamble giving him the second like that especially with him knowing that he didnt have the final verse in the third. You go line for line with someone swinging that hard especially on their own turf. That tactic( which is uncharacteristic of hoffa) lends me to believe he either A- forgot his line and played it off like a pro. or B- he knew shotty would have momentum going into round 2 so he wanted to throw him off his game. math-"do you feel disrepected?"(which didn't work by the way).This wasn't chalico vs lux(beloved). when i was growing up i remember battles being strictly freestyles. if you kicked a written in a battle (even if it was fire) people would immediately call you out on it and make you look stupid in front of the whole crowd. but now people are bringing these fully rehearsed bars and executing them in a battle. personally i like it the way it is now, so much more entertaining than freestyles because the artists have more time to perfect it.
Agreed, and there’s still an element of freestyle as far as flips go. Obviously the battle environment adds that pressure to remember all your bars and deliver them as planned. Shits sick

Shotty Horroh wins the battle with that second round alone. Math Hoffa could have won this battle in my opinion if only he didn't cut his second round so short. If Math completed his 2nd round and still lost that round, I would give him this battle 2-1. But when I add up all the points from all three rounds, I got Shotty taking it by 4 points. THE WINNER: SHOTTY HORROH 48-44 = TOTAL POINTS...

I think shotty won by a far margin because math Hoffa wasn't trying. That second round was a big insult to all the fans there. Where's the math Hoffa that faced john john da don, aye verb and T. rex? As for shotty, his first two rounds were fire to me. I can tell by his face that this battle probably discouraged him from battling again. He wanted a classic from a vet but instead got a lacklustre match.
part of math's point was that he would not try that on URL cause if he was on URL he would actually get views worth his time of a real preparation. that just goes to show his drive as an artist and that if he can't try hard in all his battles he may not make it far, but i guess he thought it was not only lazy but a good gimmick so fuck it.. Math could have just gave more effort and got a win from a respected UK battler, maybe the best. i give math the first round but his 3rd round he threw in a recycled bar, maybe more, and shotty's stumble was recovered by the ill freestyle. automatic win for shotty because of the 2nd round.
