I was lucky enough to be opening for Chick on a mini tour produced by allblues/Migros Kulturprozent back in 2014. Back then I wished I'd get to play one tune with him before the tour was over. I would have never dared to ask, of course. So it all came down to the last show, before which Roger Rüegger of Allblues went behind my back (thank God he did...!) and talked Chick into doing an encore together since the last show was at my beloved hometown of Berne. To my great surprise Chick wrote me an email a few hours before the show and we agreed to meet on stage after the show to play an encore and this is what happened, I'll never forget these precious few minutes. Thank you, Chick (R.I.P.)! thank you, Roger!
