Like I said in the video, you just have to apply the formula and trust your own choices. There are way too many variables for me to give you a realistic figure. I don't live where you live, I don't work where you work, and I don't know the quality of your work or the quality of the work of your competitors.
Hey man, been meaning to ask you a question about equipment. So i've realized that for potential upcoming play in the Spring I need to upgrade my lens in order to get better shots. Even though I am using Sony, what focal length lens would you recommend to shoot across a football field? At the moment I am the only one shooting our games so that is a very highly likelihood will have to shoot at a maximum, from one corner of the field to the other.
If you want to be able to get reasonably tight shots from over 100yds away, I think you need a lens with at least 400mm as the max focal length. That being said, depending on the lenses you have now, maybe all you need is a 2x teleconverter which will double the focal length of any lens you attach to it and will also be much cheaper than a new 100-400mm lens for example.

Yes. Even if it’s a small amount, you can’t let people use your gear for free. And also if you start charging more the day you get a new camera, your old clients will tell you to just use the old one.

Hey Henry, you’ll find opportunities by constantly networking. Produce sport videos for free if you have to so that you can meet people and get your videos out there seen by coaches, parents and players. The rest will take care of itself if you follow the tips from the video.
If you can't get paying jobs, working for free can be a great way to get your foot in the door. You just have to be smart about it. Do things that make you advance and go forward in your career. If you gain valuable experience and connect with great people through a free job, that's good value to me.

Sounds like a plan. The main thing to do is to educate your recurring clients about what they are paying for and how much it’s worth.
