One of my favorite memories is sitting down one November to go through the first three Uncharted games via the Nathan Drake collection and then Uncharted 4. It was Thanksgiving and I had earned all four platinums, and when I saw Lost Legacy at a Black Friday sale I snapped it up. I was in the zone and blazed through it in just a few days. Awesome month of gaming, and I really wish I had the time to game like that these days. Small side note…found out I have to have surgery after the holiday, could use some positive thoughts. As always thanks for all your content!

Even if they make a new uncharted I have a feeling it won't be the same without Nathan, and even when I played Lost Legacy, I felt like something was off. It's just not the same without Nathan. Im an Indian and played all of their uncharted games, I found them because of lost legacy and later on played all of the parts, Ik so happy I found ND and their games.
Your channel has been a recent discovery for me, I love it. Your content is wonderful and makes me want to go through my games again and strive to platinum so many wonderful games. This game has a special place in my heart. I played it while I looked after my son when we visited my wife’s family in Pakistan. Our host gifted me the game after I played it over the trip. This video reminds me of that time and I’ve added it to my ‘to play’ list.
This was the only game that I can remember that I platinumed in one weekend, the week this was released. The wife and kids were away for that one.... 🤔 That might be how I did it 😂😂 great video as always mate. 👍😁

Been watching for years and while I still love it, I can't help but notice the exponential increase in game footage lately. I'm far more interested in Adam and his reactions than seeing 3-5 minutes of the game for 3 - 5 seconds of commentary.
Thank you for your observation. It is a balancing act. Lost Legacy was especially heave on story because I felt that was one of the best aspects of it. I did try to trim down as much as possible. The original cut had about 30% more cutscenes. I do understand where you are coming from though. What other recent episodes have you felt that there is too much story? I'm open to feedback. Edit: and by "commentary" do you mean voice over, talking to the camera or both combined?
@@AdamMcDermott Hi. First off, thanks for taking the time to respond. I know it's difficult, especially with someone like me criticising your work, but as you mentioned, it's an observation and doesn't necessarily count for everyone. By commentary I mean ANYTHING from you, on or off camera (although your visible frustration has always been a personal highlight... I sympathise greatly). An example of another episode, off the top of my head, would be something like the GTA Vice City Platinum Journey. From around the 17:55 mark all the way to 19:26 it's all cutscenes which I'm not bothered about. I'm old enough to have played Vice City when it came out originally without the need of hiding it from my parents ;) I'd much rather watch you actually playing the game and hearing your thoughts than watching a cutscene. I also feel this has contributed to the length of your videos almost doubling from averaging around 15 min (Uncharted 3, Crack in Time, Bioshock Infinite) to an average of 30 minutes. I don't mind the extra length, but I don't recall this much cutscene footage in the Uncharted 4 video and that was 27 minutes (still a BRILLIANT video). Again though, thats just me. Maybe get a second opinion ;)

That is a nice compliment actually. I see where you are coming from. If you wanted to watch a game's cutscenes you would have, but you wanted to watch a video featuring me. I think to be as concise as I can be: Adam, you're the 'fekkin' star of the show, not the games. We come here to see you. It's your trials, tribulations and triumphs that we are here to see. We love you. Watching your frustration during the Crushing run of Uncharted 4 was absolutely brilliant. Seeing when things go wrong (one of the Metal Gear Solid videos was a great instance if I rightly recall), or even, when they go surprisingly right, are perfect examples of why I am a huge fan and have watched most of your videos multiple times. Whatever you do, I'm sure we'll all still be here to watch your exploits. Just keep up the good work. We can all see how much effort you put into it and God bless you for it.

I think half the episode is just narrating the story. I did try to have more of an emphasis on playing the game or doing voice-over covering strategy and such for Give Me God of War. Still dragged. I'll have to review the episode. 40 minutes is objectively on the long side to be fair. Haha, I'm the star. Got it! I think what I'm learning the most from this chat is that one more edit pass before uploading could go a long way. Really tighten things up. For example, the Lost Legacy episode was initially 40 minutes. I cut it down to 36 with 2 minutes at the end talking to the camera. If I had done one more pass and trimmed another 4-5 minutes of cutscenes, down to just the essentials and only snippets, the video would have been better for it. After two years, I can finally watch this video. Like you, there was 3 years gap between my time with U1-4 and lost legacy So felt so nostalgic coming back to this universe. I’m currently 81% through the trophy list, so I am able to watch this without getting spoiled

This is a such a fun game. I think it proved that the future games in the franchise don’t necessarily need Drake to be successful. Way of the Warrior is my favourite kind of trophy too. Makes you play the game completely differently.

I’m pretty late to this episode but amazing job Adam! The edits and overall quality makes the video feel like an actual documentary and review of the game. Uncharted is my favorite game series along with the Arkham games, and I’m very excited for the upcoming movie with Tom Holland. Great job Adam!

That APC section is by far the hardest encounter I've had in any uncharted game. That one encounter took me 4 or 5 days of trying 1-2 hours per day until I manged to pull it off. Now I'm watching this finding out you can actually just cheat your way and buy weapons...
Your enthusiasm for Uncharted is highly infectious haha. Its always lovely to see you gush about a game which is special to you. Games are magical! I go through periods where games (ALL games) lose their lustre for me entirely, and I just can't play anything. It's sort of like a depression, I suppose. They always come roaring back eventually, but I do worry that one day I'll stop playing and just never play anything again. Today is not that day tho, as I work my way through Mass Effect 3 for the first time :)
Games are indeed magical. Yeah, I understand that worry. Went through periods of not being interested in games before too. I think it will always come back. Every year new stunning games are released. Stuff we couldn't ever imagine.
Just got the platinum for the lost legacy 2 days ago. Now me and my siblings are going to get platinum number 50 and it is Guardians of the Galaxy. Can't wait to see your next video!!!!

This Uncharted game surprised me, I had no expectation going into it. I agree, Sam is handled better in this. I like him much better in this than in UC4. Fun journey, thanks for sharing it.

I don't get the issue with Sam. The idea of a long-lost brother is weird, but how he's written and performed by Troy Baker is great in both games. Also what he gives Drake as a character in Thiefs End is fantastic.
I think he is performed well, but I would have preferred to finish Nate's story doing adventures with Sully instead. Have Sully be the one who gets Nate out of retirement because he is in trouble. Build upon what came before instead of a new character coming out of left field who I have no attachment to. To each their own though. Glad you enjoyed Sam.
Never have I had a grin on my face so wide and for so long. What an episode, what a game👌🏽 I've expressed my excitement for Uncharted Lost Legacy multiple times, and it did not disappoint. Quickest 38 minutes I've experienced in a long time. Honestly felt like I was a kid again, with time going by so fast. As I'm getting older I'm adapting to "adult" life and not all of it is fun😂 but this show, and this video in particular is a beautiful reminder that I'm still a child at heart, and it doesn't matter how demanding life can get, video games will always be fun. So good to watch another uncharted platinum journey. I can remember myself doing this one and that tank battle was so hard. I was finally able to order a PS5 for retail price today so I will definitely be enjoying that in a few days. Can’t wait for the spider man miles morales platinum journey.

Hey hey Adam the legendary platinum hunter has once again returned glad to see you return to uncharted for the first time on PS5 good luck with alien isolation hard mode is no joke and the no death run can be a pain in the ass but my best possibility to survive hard mode is if and only if the alien sees you reload your last because he's incredibly fast and he kills you in ONE hit.

I stopped what I was doing immediately when I saw a new platinum journey video on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy 🐐
I could only do the crushing stealth run of the vehicle section after watching lucy's video on it.
She is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to Uncharted.
This is a such a fun game. I think it proved that the future games in the franchise don’t necessarily need Drake to be successful.
Way of the Warrior is my favourite kind of trophy too. Makes you play the game completely differently.
Yeah, I'd be okay with more Uncharted games without Nate.

I’m pretty late to this episode but amazing job Adam! The edits and overall quality makes the video feel like an actual documentary and review of the game. Uncharted is my favorite game series along with the Arkham games, and I’m very excited for the upcoming movie with Tom Holland. Great job Adam!

That APC section is by far the hardest encounter I've had in any uncharted game. That one encounter took me 4 or 5 days of trying 1-2 hours per day until I manged to pull it off. Now I'm watching this finding out you can actually just cheat your way and buy weapons...

I go through periods where games (ALL games) lose their lustre for me entirely, and I just can't play anything. It's sort of like a depression, I suppose. They always come roaring back eventually, but I do worry that one day I'll stop playing and just never play anything again. Today is not that day tho, as I work my way through Mass Effect 3 for the first time :)
Games are indeed magical. Yeah, I understand that worry. Went through periods of not being interested in games before too. I think it will always come back. Every year new stunning games are released. Stuff we couldn't ever imagine.

Lost Legacy was suppose to be DLC for U4 but the team was having so much fun making the game it turned into a full 8-10 hour game.
I honestly feel like it should have been a DLC of Uncharted 4 and sold it for 20 dollars

I don't get the issue with Sam. The idea of a long-lost brother is weird, but how he's written and performed by Troy Baker is great in both games. Also what he gives Drake as a character in Thiefs End is fantastic.
Preferred Sam in this than in uncharted 4
I think he is performed well, but I would have preferred to finish Nate's story doing adventures with Sully instead. Have Sully be the one who gets Nate out of retirement because he is in trouble. Build upon what came before instead of a new character coming out of left field who I have no attachment to.

Never have I had a grin on my face so wide and for so long. What an episode, what a game👌🏽 I've expressed my excitement for Uncharted Lost Legacy multiple times, and it did not disappoint. Quickest 38 minutes I've experienced in a long time. Honestly felt like I was a kid again, with time going by so fast. As I'm getting older I'm adapting to "adult" life and not all of it is fun😂 but this show, and this video in particular is a beautiful reminder that I'm still a child at heart, and it doesn't matter how demanding life can get, video games will always be fun.
