Its really sad that the state of NVdia as a company is such shit that I would rather spend $900-$1000 on a 7000 series than $600+ for anything Nvdia.
As I recall the previous SUPER's were direct replacements for the existing model and the old model would not get discounted but discontinued immediately.
I expect overpriced shit from Nvidia as usually. No thx as always ^^
Unfortunately, I happen to be a bit in a niche situation. AMD is not a good option for me because I need CUDA cores for some neural network experiments, and also AMD's GPU down-scaling is messed up, which is important for me as a visually handicapped programmer. So I have to stick to Nvidia. I don't quite need a high-end GPU, being more of a tinkerer than a gamer. I'm still on GTX 960. I did not get 1060 because 960 was "good enough" for me at that time. I almost considered 2060, but then some other stuff happened in my life and then 3060 came with the insane crypto craze, so I wanted to wait it over. And now we have this stupid situation with 4060. Definitely, I don't want to buy an 8GB card, knowing that I upgrade rarely, so I would like something more future-proof. 16GB is so tempting but the price of 4060 Ti 16GB is just stupid, 520 EUR. Maybe I should buy a 3060 12GB. But frame gen and CUDA cores of 4060 are a really tempting factor. So maybe I should wait a bit for the rumored SUPER with the hope that the 4060 Ti 16GB will get cheaper or SUPER will offer more for the same price.
1. When I had Ge Force 3 I thought Ge Force 4 was God tier and my GF 3 is weak.
2. When I had GF 8400 GS I thought GF 8600 GT was I unicorn only chosen can have and 8800 is myth and legend exiting only in dreams.
3. When I had AMD 6450HD 1GB DDR5 I thought 6570 HD was mighty tech giant and I should be happy just cause I can run games .
4. When I had GTX 1050 2Gb I thought I am luckiest man alive but then I saw GTX 1050TI user and whished to be them boys. Not to mention 1060 6gb ( 3gb users hadd some desicion 5.
making problems to be honest)
5. When I had GTX 1650 4gb I thought what a great thing is to play games on higher setting but than 1660 stole my heart .
6. When I step up my game and bought bloody RTX 2060 6gb in the middle of the price record month i was like OMFG I ROCK! but then prices droped and i was like "JFC 3060 12gb is soo good"
7. And NOW finally after 20 years of pain and misery I have RTX ph00king 4070 and now what ? Should I have waited for SUPER version WHEN and IF and for how much ? HELL NO !
This is great ! It is good NOW and will be for some time .
But...
That number 80 in cards names is nice. Next time...

When I now have RTX 5080 SUPER 32GB and still bloody FPS drops on 1080p medium .WTF ?
You know those when project managers make scenario predictions and one of them is the 'pessimistic' scenario? Yeah, when predicting for Nvida go for the 'insanely pessimistic scenario' everytime cause Nvidia very well might not give any increase in VRAM on the 4080 super, it just might be what the 4080 non Ti should've been to begin with.
Super series cant cross Ti Series... Ok
Boycott nvidia and their 10.000 wasted GPUs at sea!
Well. Those GPUs at sea. Aren't for you anyway. Unless you're a datacenter... Lol
So titan versions of the 40 series cards are no longer being considered?
I don't think Titan will ever be a thing again.
@@metamon2704 OK, thx. I would've much preferred a 4080ti than a 4080 super. Was hoping the new 4080 card would have the ad102 die with a 320-bit memory bus, like the 3080.
The 4080 has been around 1000 for a while. Not sure what people are waiting for
Well to begin with, it should have been $700
1000 is damn overpriced for a nearly 40% cutdown die ^^ people must be braindead to pay a 1000 bucks.
@@mitsuhhwhy? You have to actually account for 3 years of epic inflation... So.. 3080.. Times like 30% over that time? Math....
LOL@@djchotus1
inflation is just a conspiracy theory. @@djchotus1
