What’s the set back calculation for inset drawers?

In the video the slide was installed right against the vertical edge of the face frame opening. For that to work, how wide should the drawer box be in relationship to the face frame opening width?

Hey there - The formula for this is opening width minus 42mm to the inside of the drawer. If you want to get the dimension to the outside, then you would do Opening width minus 42mm (1-21/32") and then add back your drawer side material thickness on each side. We show a chart for outside drawer width in the brochures, but we would stress the importance of actually measuring your drawer side material, not just assuming that your "5/8" material actually equals 16 mm. Here's a video that might help: ruclips.net/video/uf7wbTD83og/видео.html

Awesome video, I have installed tons of tandem slides in frameless cabinets but never face frame cabinets. I need to do an installation in an existing face frame cabinet, the method of making the template for the rear brackets is very helpful. Thanks!!!

@@BlumIncThanks for this video…I have most of your templates but wonder how do you install the drawer slides for slide out trays that have to clear the hinge side? The video you posted is for drawers, but rollout trays are normally not as wide as drawers and must clear the hinge side, with a spacer. I normally use your Tandem 1” Spacer (BT59.3570). Thanks.

    Hi Blum USA
Is the Rear Mounting Bracket not marketed in Europe? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Actually ... I can't seem to find it mentioned anywhere in any official Blum material.

There is a typo at 2:16, it says 21/32" where it should be 31/32"
