Yes. What kind of coordinator/trainers would be stupid enough to trust McDaniels in the future? And what kind of GM would have such a poisonous identity beneath them in an organisation? No GM will stake their future careers on the spygate, Indygate coward
The team shouldn't have hired those coaches. Since they did, it might make things more difficult for the Colts. But how do you feel sorry for the coaches - They still get paid, they still have their jobs. The jobs may or may not be promotions over what they had before.
First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright there is no loyalty in NFL. Ask players and coaches whom the owners fire on the Willie nillie. How about those families effected. This is not little league with parents promises, this is the NFL with signed contract. I remember a coach leaving the falcons during a season lol. Ask Montana about loyalty..
I’m so glad he backed out of the Colts job. New England assistants are notoriously horrible as head coaches. There’s been a few that’s had success but thats it, a few, maybe only couple
"His word is as good as his options"... Good quote Nick because that is really what this is. Call it "indefensible", call it what you like. People are allowed to change their mind and yes even if it will effect others negatively... If there is one thing I've learned about this life is you better take care of yourself because no one else is going to...
Donald Mousseau yeah but you dont make an organization sign on other people who move over there with their families because you chose them and then tell them hey 🖕good luck guys without me
CC "likes to help", as in when he encouraged rookies at a mandatory NFL rookie symposium to find a fall guy for when they break the law. Then they should offer money to the fall guy to take the rap to avoid responsibility. All while wearing his impressive HOF jacket. And the NFL actually posted the video on their website. You just can't make this stuff up.
I can't wait, a year or two from now Patriots fans will be the new Cowboys fans, talking for decades about how they use to win while meanwhile being mediocre year in and year out.
This will most certainly happen. No doubt about it. Only delusional Pats fans don't see the end of the wave they have been riding. The rest of us are all standing on the beach and can clearly see it's over.
Brain Over Brawn it started when Chris carter got really emotional over something a couple days ago. It was the segment over Barry bonds getting in the hof
Dungy's always been a Patriot hater so this is no surprise. Josh got a better offer from the Patriots at the last moment and took it. It happens in business.
Dungy still has a bad taste in his mouth from the losses to the Pats. This guy ranked Brady #6 all time which sounds like a big bunch of sour grapes to me.
Tony Dungy is absolutely correct....McDumbass’ decision was totally indefensible; in that he committed to the Colts to such a degree that he even began recruiting assistants......here’s hoping the Patriots fall to 5-11 next season....serves them right
Tony D also says TB is not a top 5 QB. He is STILL butthurt. The assistant coaches all got jobs, they are happy. The Pats couldn't make an offer to Josh until after the SB, the Colts knew that. They made an offer,, he took it. What is the problem here?
Because McDaniels did so well as a HC in Denver. Some guys are just good position coaches or coordinators. McDaniels and Patricia are good coordinators but I don't think either one makes a good HC.
A man of character would have considered the choice more carefully weighed the options, then decide. And not put himself into such a stupid, pitiful. And YES, INDEFENSIBLE position... CC, would be the first cry baby, had he uprooted his family. Yes, McDumbAzz, showed he's not Head coach material... gotta be able too live through your choices. (Right or Wrong) that's something MEN OF CHARACTER ALWAYS, UNDERSTAND!
Coporations have no problem telling an INDIVIDUAL "we're moving in a different direction". This time it was the other way round. I don't feel bad for the Colts. I hate the Colts. But for McDaniels to TELL them he wants CERTAIN people in there in his staff, and KNOW THAT those men were approached and SIGNED, and THEN changing his mind, is something he is gonna have to deal with (work out with those men). Many people don't realize the awkwardness of having to move your whole family, upset your kids who will have to leave their school friends AGAIN and your wife who will have to move into ANOTHER house. Unless the PAY is WAY more, this isn't a bed of roses. As a Patriots fan I am glad he is staying here, but I don't think he is head coach material. not after what I saw in Denver. Once Belichick leaves the years of Dominance are numbered. I don't like Bob Kraft, may be him and McDaniels deserve each other. But I would NOT be shocked IF Kraft promised him to be the successor to Belichick AND when the time comes, he changes his mind and hires another head coach. Probably the Shanahan dude from 49'ers. (way down in 2023 or later)
coachs owners players lie to each other and fans all the time, if the deal isnt inked it isnt binding. Remember this is a business first, not a good friends club.
bring it home , Ummm that comparison is utterly ludicrous. The Colts caused the Patriots and Tom Brady specifically A year and a half of absurd scrutiny, A suspension of 4 games for Brady, fines and draft picks. So yeah, I have zero sympathy for the Colts organization.
Pffffft... "the Colts caused"... Yeah. You can say it wasn't a big deal and they shouldn't have been punished or whatever, but Brady did that. Brady did that and he knew it needed to be hid from scrutiny. If someone else at the top of their sport, lets say Serena Williams who like the Patriots is already way better than their competition, was found messing with the equipment to give her more of an advantage, the world would freak out. It would be so shameful. Then what if she laughed at them when something unfortunate happened to them and said, "Haha, Suckers! Payback!!!" I would hope that even Pats fans would agree that that would be a slime-ball move. If this was indeed intentionally done as payback for Deflate-gate, that would prove the Patriot naysayers to be correct. I'll give Kraft the benefit of the doubt and say it was just "unfortunate timing."
DeAndre Jordan verbally agreed to terms with the Dallas Mavericks and then 'flipped' and re-signed with the Clippers. Has it hurt him getting another job in the NBA? No, there are teams lining up still trying to pry him from the Clips. I don't necessarily agree with what Josh McDaniels did, but I agree with CC I don't think it ends his career prospects with anybody OTHER than New England.
Business and personal feelings are two different things and should always be separate. It’s all about the contract. If the contract is not signed or if the agreement is not signed, then there is no deal. This is true with NFL coaching, buying life insurance, purchasing a new car, etc. Take buying a car, for instance. The dealer promises everything to you. The buyer expresses strong interest in buying a particular car. But regardless of the promises, if everything isn’t approved or the contract isn’t fully signed, then no car is sold or bought. Same with the Colts and McDaniels . No money had to be returned by McDaniels. The Colts should’ve waited until the actual contract was signed. Josh McDaniels was ready to sign, but was talked into changing his mind from his current staff. What is wrong with that?
Kevin Chouinard because the call already had new assistants ready to work for him. He essentially hired people even if he hadnt signed yet and left everyone on an island
I don't know if its ruined.. But.. His chances should be very slim to none in my book as far opportunities for a hc. I mean.. who in there right mind would hire him after what he did. And i didn't listen to the rest of this video after the first 2 minutes. Hearing what C.Carter said of Mcdaniels was bad enough for me. I like you Chris. But.. I see why Espn got rid of you.
It totally sucks because of the guys signing contracts, but the Patriots do not discuss business during the season they are totally focused on the next game so he had not even spoken to them yet. He finds out he can take over for Belichek in a few years that's his dream job so he just could not turn it down. Plus maybe Andrew Lucks shoulder injury not exactly a great job in Indy could have been a situation where he was setting himself up for failure.
When it comes down to it, you only really care what's good for you and your family. There is nothing wrong with that. Look at it from the players prospective they could get traded clear across the country and that affects their family and the organization doesn't care. Good for you Josh!
You can only hide behind that for so long though. His family situation did not change Tuesday. If it was such a terrible thing to uproot his family, why was he willing to do it as of that afternoon. This is about wanting to stay comfortable, which is fine. It just signals, at least to me, that he wasn't really the right kind of person to lead an organization - especially one like the Colts that have a lot of work to do yet. They need someone who can elevate a team that is struggling. New England needs someone who can prolong the status-quo as long as possible. McDaniels is apparently the latter, so this ultimately will work out better for the Colts.
Fair enough but you still need a staff, and everyone needs to believe ea other in the heat of battle... also bottom line all his assists will leave first chance they get because loyalty is not a core value.... they don’t know how long their self life is with a guy that. Last You can’t be trusted you can’t attract free agents....
Colts fan here. I don't blame him for staying and possibly getting the coaching job there. It was waiting until the 11th hour and having assistant coaching signing on before and not saying anything to them before. I am glad we won't have him as coach. Something about him was not right and now we know. To many people hate on Irsay. He is a good guy, and I'll take him over Kraft anyday.
Sean Brant there may not be something right about Irsay and he might be a pill popping kook but he’s a decent owner and wants to win so I have no issue with Irsay. His personal demons are his own to deal with. For the better part of 20 years the Colts have been relevant. Some years not so much but if you look at the 20 years before 1998 you’ll see besides 1995 a complete waste of an nfl franchise. I’ll take Irsay the son over the other Irsay we had everyday. This one at least tries to win and his greediness isn’t so apparent.
I think i know why Belichick acts the way he acts with the media, the Eagles won and were talking about the Patriots. So he had a change of heart, remember Billy Donovan?
This is my problem as well. I'm not as mad that he backed out on my team. Yeah it backed us up weeks. But we still have plenty of time and there are still good candidates. But to make this decision and not own it is childish. You need to let everybody following you know right after you have 2nd thoughts "hey I'm sorry but I might not take this job.". That's the part that bothers me. This is not something that a true leader of men would do. And I'm happy he isn't our head coach. I'd rather it be now than next off-season.
Tony Dungy some how got to the HOF...had Manning all those years and only got 1 SB. Enough said. He should not be speaking about other coaches specially from NE.
Belichick card got played. In the 11th hour Bill promised to let Josh look behind the curtain. Invaluable knowledge to be passed down to a potential heir apparent. People shouldnt have to make these decisions while still in season and chasing another ring. The way things happened... Reality sets in. That Colts' division is gonna be tough too... Texans, Jags, Vrabel and Titans. - Whoever takes that job with Indy will be OUT in 2 years. (Maybe Dungy should come back and save the day lol) * This is best for everyone imho.
Everybody can have a opinion, but an individual should be allowed the right to work where ever one wants. this is stupid.. but time filling effort by the networks.
I mean Josh Played The Colts lol that's F up, I'm happy some of the owners call Ryan Pace. Telling him don't go with Josh cause he want leave the Pats an look he didn't at all
Cris Carter is mute, defending that child of a OC. No player will take him seriously, or trust anything he says after this. This effects players too, and if I was a player, I'd avoid this guy, or demand a trade.
Oh cut it out guys. Why does the NFL allow other teams to contact your guy while your season is still going on and you can't take time to negotiate with him? This is the NFL's fault this situation arose. The Colts did NOT have a signed contract with McDaniels and they KNEW he would be getting a counter offer from Kraft. They also knew BB put himself on the NE hotseat and Josh was going to become the HC soon and that fact would be pointed out to him immediately after the SB. Tony D is a guy whose judgement includes or doesn't include TB as a top 5 QB so take what he says accordingly. Who would work for Irsay anyway.
I'm actually starting to like this show, at first I hated it but it's growing on me. As long as they don't talk about LeBron as Nick can't seem to be stop drooling from the mouth about him. 😂
Nothing finalized until the contract is signed. Only idiots continue to go with an option when a better one is on the table. Also all the people who were going to go with him are idiots if you start making moves before anything is signed.
It was ok for the Colts to tank a season and run Peyton out of town??? What about his feelings and his family and all he did for that organization??? 😂 fans keep crying while their teams keep trying... #SorryYourTeamIsNotThePatriots
I dont agree with Carter maybe thats how players can act. A coach is alot different than a player you are a leader in a position where your word matters.Of course carter always talks out of both sides of his mouth. I am glad after looking at this clip that i watch sharpe and skip.
We gotta take anything that Dungy says about the Pats with a few grains of salt. That being said, as a Pats fan, I don’t blame Josh for doing what he ultimately thought was best for him, but he did those other coaches dirty. That was scummy walking away after other men had moved their lives to a nee place for you.
Indefensible? This man is wrong he don't have to explain s*** to nobody if he changed his mind he changed his mind that's speaking from a patch fan he didn't sign anything so what's the issue the other guys if they did sign with the Colts and that's what they did but Josh McDaniels didn't sign anything saying that it was concrete
It's a double standard in America blacks keep trying to explain they will never tell truth he is privileged that's why he did what he did it's not surprising
Nick is Wright is two about position coaches salaries. They make at least 1M a year. Position assistant coaches are probably making around 200k a year.
Did McDaniels ruin his future with every team but the Pats?
First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright If any team hires him after this they are dumb af.
Yes. What kind of coordinator/trainers would be stupid enough to trust McDaniels in the future? And what kind of GM would have such a poisonous identity beneath them in an organisation?
No GM will stake their future careers on the spygate, Indygate coward

Josh McDaniels press conference: I'm taking my talents to the Co....oaching office to prepare for next season with the Patriots.
Clemmie Simmons lmao
Lol
LMFAO
😂😂
Make this a meme
McDaniels own agent dumped him. That's how you know he really messed up. He's gonna have a bad rep in coaching fraternity for sure.
Mike N you realise they've been on and off for years
Mike N Next time he gets a coaching nod it may be harder for him to recruit assistants. This isn't his first time backing out of a job
If I were his agent, I would've done the same thing. McDaniels would've made his agent's job harder.
He is ALSO Ballard's agent - so there's that.
I’m so glad he backed out of the Colts job. New England assistants are notoriously horrible as head coaches. There’s been a few that’s had success but thats it, a few, maybe only couple
Indy should be thankful he changed his mind.
"His word is as good as his options"... Good quote Nick because that is really what this is. Call it "indefensible", call it what you like. Josh McDaniels is Bill's lapdog. He'll do whatever his master says.
Tiber doesn't have a boss, or a job.
Integrity is no longer a NFL word period.
Jeff W - Josh McDaniels doesn't have any integrity, never has and never will. End of story.
How many owners or employers cut or layoff or change their minds and don't think 2x about it?
I can't wait, a year or two from now Patriots fans will be the new Cowboys fans, talking for decades about how they use to win while meanwhile being mediocre year in and year out.

phase 1: Denial
Nick Wright sounds like he's scared to disagree with Cris Carter these days.
He's Carter's shipping boy.
Brain Over Brawn that split second when nick gets interrupted by cris...
Brain Over Brawn it started when Chris carter got really emotional over something a couple days ago. It was the segment over Barry bonds getting in the hof
CC is so combative with his opinions it’s sort of hard for Nick sometimes.
Chris always thinks he’s right cause he was a former player.
One thing I like is how much Chris and Nick respect each other.
U're right nick it affects everyone lives not just yours
Nick: "So, is Josh McDaniels a loser?"
Chris: "Nick, the only reason why I am in the Hall of Fame is because I am a superior athlete."
Gregory Odum don’t forget his superior work ethic
Dungy's always been a Patriot hater so this is no surprise. Josh got a better offer from the Patriots at the last moment and took it. It happens in business.
Gregor avich
He works with former Patriot Rodney Harrison.
Yeah, Tony Dungy went out of his way to hate on the Patriots. It had nothing to do with taking a principled stand
Dungy still has a bad taste in his mouth from the losses to the Pats. This guy ranked Brady #6 all time which sounds like a big bunch of sour grapes to me.
CC on point.
Cc is absolutely right .good coach doesn’t have nothing to do with this decision
Chris carter is right sooo many times
You see how far our morals have dropped !!! We are devolving
Tony Dungy is absolutely correct....McDumbass’ decision was totally indefensible; in that he committed to the Colts to such a degree that he even began recruiting assistants......here’s hoping the Patriots fall to 5-11 next season....serves them right
They never signed him though lol he was still a Patriot. You're a fool
Way to mask your seething hatred for the Patriots with McDaniels current situation. You're a piece of trash.
Tony D also says TB is not a top 5 QB. He is STILL butthurt. The assistant coaches all got jobs, they are happy. The Pats couldn't make an offer to Josh until after the SB, the Colts knew that. They made an offer,, he took it. What is the problem here?
Lol. Colts have a 1000000% more chance of going 5-11 than the Patriots. Good "Luck"!
Will Drucker haha keep crying the pats won't see a 5-11 for decades to come
sooo the patriots PUMPED up the colts then let the air out of the organization sounds like revenge
cc thinks he's helping people just by being there - he's so full of himself.
Tony should keep his trap shut.
Bills got one more year in him, Josh is the heir to the throne. kraft and bill are not seeing eye tot eye since the jimmy trade
lol
Chris is wrong. You don't do what he did.
Because McDaniels did so well as a HC in Denver. Some guys are just good position coaches or coordinators. McDaniels and Patricia are good coordinators but I don't think either one makes a good HC.

Wow I love it I remember when Belichick was supposed to sign with the Jets now this happens go Pats
Josh Mcdaniels found out the Colts were not getting SEAN LEE! Coach would never call out Sean Lee.
Jenna looks good
DeAndre Jordan verbally agreed to terms with the Dallas Mavericks and then 'flipped' and re-signed with the Clippers. Has it hurt him getting another job in the NBA? No, there are teams lining up still trying to pry him from the Clips.

I've lived in Indy my whole life and there is definitely something not right about Irsay.
Good luck with that in fact Luck has a better chance landing in NE than staying a Colt.....Real talk!
Yeah, I dunno about all that. Kraft seems to know what he’s doing and Irsay seems a little...off...somehow.

IF that were the case then why would McDaniels go out and start essentially hiring all these other coaches/coordinators to bring with him?
It's called keeping options open. You are worth more if your boss knows you can get a job across the street
Read Dylan mansel comment. He a pat fan but obviously a better human than you are.
Peyton leaving was a mutual agreement with Irsay.. Don't believe me watch the press conference.
I dont agree with Carter maybe thats how players can act. A coach is alot different than a player you are a leader in a position where your word matters.Of course carter always talks out of both sides of his mouth. I am glad after looking at this clip that i watch sharpe and skip.
Lebron just said he’s in it for the long haul so if he leaves will nick be mad🤔
We gotta take anything that Dungy says about the Pats with a few grains of salt. That being said, as a Pats fan, I don’t blame Josh for doing what he ultimately thought was best for him, but he did those other coaches dirty. That was scummy walking away after other men had moved their lives to a nee place for you.
Chris is wrong it will hurt McDaniels down the road.
Cris Carter the same dude who told the Eagles to not be stupid and hire Colin Kaepernick lol I can't take both these clowns seriously
smoothcollected Proudly serving my country. And you?
His wife didn't want to move the family and 4 kids. That's it in a nutshell. Happy wife , happy life.
Who cares? Just like everyone says.... This is a business
How's your Karma sandwich Indy? Deflating? Hahahahaha! Enjoy last place.
Cris Carter is annoying. Can't listen to him.
It's a double standard in America blacks keep trying to explain they will never tell truth he is privileged that's why he did what he did it's not surprising
I can't blame Josh for not wanting to work with a drug addict owner.
Yet he persuaded his potential future assistants to do so?? What a great guy.
frank gore did this to us the eagles thank god and now he still has no ring and we do so karma
Nick is Wright is two about position coaches salaries. They make at least 1M a year. Position assistant coaches are probably making around 200k a year.
It
The guy can't coach that's why he didn't took the job period, look what he'd did in Denver!
Peyton manning is the best choice for the job
That's actually not a bad idea; that's Peyton's future anyway. I'm sure he wants to catch up to Tom Brady and Belichick in some way.
He should start as a qb coach or off coordinator
It’s good to dream and have a fantasy bro, if only this would actually happen, the most Peyton will do is front office type work not coaching
A Sidd Peyton is perfectly fine with his legacy
Going back to Indy after how Irsay treated him? Nope.
It's a question of Character and NO ONE in the Patriots Organization has any.
people see what they want to see, that describes trump supporters to a T
terdfergusson36 and clinton and obama supporters, isnt that why people follow a certain person/idea? You dont follow something because you hate it lol
Homosexual moments right thru first 4 and a half minutes.
Grungy Dungy's salt runneth over. Poor little fool.
Is it just me or does this white guys nose hang so low it’s touching his top lip?
