I stopped playing when I realized that their version of forma and potatoes(warframe items) are really grindy. To the point why? You lock these loot behind a 3 to 6 percent chance then farm all the resources that are hard to find and drop. They basically put ankle weights on your foot and direct you to their shop. Yes I know it's a free to play game. However, their monetization is too aggressive. If you have no life though this game is perfect for you
The forma are actually really easy to get, especially since they 3x vault loot and made forma materials drop from elite enemies. Blueprints for forma get up to 20% Reactor and Ultimate descendants/end game Ultimate weapons are where they need to rework the grind. Ultimate Ajax’s highest base drop chance is 10%. And it only goes to 16 with a shaper. The rest of the drop rates are 3-6%. Tbh they need to do it Warframe style. A common part, uncommon parts, and then one really rate part.
I was able to get 2 of their forma by just playing the game passively, then I needed 1 more resource I just went to where to find it spent 10 mins and got enough of the green stuff to craft 4
I've found 5 blueprints for the forma thing well I've only got 3 for the one that half's a mod slot which is normally a 20% chance we'll the activator is a 3% also got 2 of them back to back getting rid of normal mode patterns
i'm a single no lifer and this grind straight sucks i'm all for playing the game to earn the loot but when you finally get the weapon its discouraging knowing you have to get the blueprints 4 more times. i love grind but this grind dear lord just isn't it.
funny thing with nexon is that they were sued 6 months ago for having rigged drop rates in their games and tfd seems to have this exact problem of stuff not dropping even after hours of farming for it - warframe is grindy and the wait times are just as bad if not worse in some areas but you actually enjoy the grind since everything is relatively easy to get

it would actually make more sense to work for 3 hrs and just buy the descendant than spend weeks grinding. The amount of time needed to grind isn’t worth it at all which is just funny to me.
Bro it took me three days since I can only play about 2-3 hours before work 😭this is such bullshit. I want to love the game but the loot pool of 800 things and you only have a 3% probability of something out of that huge loot pool is such bullshit
What this game really needs is a survival mode that gives non stop rewards of better and better quality For example say you’re farming a specific amorphous you start by getting 1 every say 3 waves than after round 9 it ups to x2 and so on This would make grinding more fun and would make players strive to be stronger and stronger to min max rewards
For context - TFD seems to have taken the wprat aspects of Warframe and then made it 100x worse. In WF you tend to get components for 2-3 other things while chasing after 1 thing. The end result is that you always have thongs building in your Foundry. Warframe tends to feel more fair and player friendly in terms of progression - but it has a terrible new player experience. Luckily after TFD Warframe's aystems will feel similar enough to catch on quickly.
It’s not a terrible new player experience, I started warframe this year and I have been taking a few months break as I play several different games and warframe pretty much holds your hand, you just need to pay close attention. I would definitely recommend giving the game a try
I don't mind grinding if the grind is fun. This grind is a disappointment simulator. Ask my 15 Smithereens blueprints that I didn't ask for ONE of.....
The feeling of, “this grind is to much” just hit me last night… I really like the game but when I’m farming for an ultimate weapon & just the blue print is a 6% drop rate but the material needed just to get a chance at that drop rate is a 40% drop rate in a very long activity you get burned out. And that is just 1 of 4 materials needed to craft the weapon… you shouldn’t have to spend 8+ hours grinding for 1/4 of a gun/descendant.
And then when you finally do get all the parts, you have to wait eight hours to have it made. This has got to be the dumbest game design I have ever seen, which is why I uninstalled a week ago. Kinda hard to keep playing rng slot machine gambling garbage when I have way better games to play.

I agree with you 100%, the level of the grind after the campaign ends is ridiculous I very much enjoy myself when everything drops quite "easily" during the campaign until I'm done with the Hanged Man and after that, It's all going downhill for me 2-3 shots from a random foot soldier kills me on hard mode, people said I must have good mods on HP and DEF, and then I realized the grinds for the best mods and best weapons are just ridiculous with all these nonsense drop rates I can see that some people said that the grind is manage-able but being an adult with responsibilities, this is quite impossible to do unless I drop some money in it which we all know that in this type of game, someday the server is gonna be offline and all the hard-earned money you spend here will vanish in to digital heaven
Honeymoon period will be over in the next 4 months. I stopped playing this game 4 days in with over 45hours and almost completed the story. Drop rates are trash and the things you need to farm the stuff you wanna craft are annoying. I have never complained about farming anything on Warframe and I have played over 3k hours both on PC and PS5 and yes I do spend money on it out of appreciation and love for this game cause it doesn't shove prime access or plats down might throat

I agree with the infiltration part. Its not the fact you need sharen to do them because getting her is easy. its how you do them. First off you need a lot of ability duration if you want to get to the power units and back to the outer wall before your ability runs out and you get spoted. But once you have a comfortable duration the problem now becomes your cooldown since the cooldown only starts once the ability wears off or you turn it off and the cooldown is criminally long. Its hard to do both. Also for some reason the enemies have an otherworldly 6th sense. Mfs can smell you out. If you activate your stealth after you get found out it doesn't count as being hiden so the countdown before you can infiltrate again doesn't show up. And god forbid they see you for a millisecond before you even start the infiltration. Because that still counts I like the idea of doing it to get an extra reward but it should just be a chance to get the pattern from the main rewards drop a 2nd time not a pattern that can only be obtained by using that mechanic
Great point mate about getting another chance if you complete the infiltration mate. The cooldown between the mission sucks too even though you can do a workaround
@@Simonb1471 idk if the devs have said anything about the mission cooldown. if they do hopefully it's good news. but even if they don't plan on making it shorter hopefully they at least keep the exploit. because that's what is helping with the community's sanity when it comes to farming
I have had no trouble with doing the infiltrations you need like two mods and a level 30 sharen to do them even if your bad at the game. Even my friends who are brand new to the game can do them and they have like 13 seconds of skill duration on there sharen and most of there mods are underleveled
@@Axxrial I can confirm I was being too impatient. I didn't think that leveling up the skill would increase the duration so I was doing it low level. But I'm finally able to do it at character level 22. Thx for helping me use my head for once 🙏
As a Destiny and WF player I totally agree. And as you mentioned as well with "TFD seems to have taken the wprat aspects of Warframe and then made it 100x worse", it's 100% true. The reason for this is very simple, NEXON > Shop. The game is deliberately sugarcoating everything until the end of Normal mode / early Hard mode, making you feel that everything is "easily" obtainable, hence trying to pull you more into the game for the only sole purpose of slowly divert your attention towards their in-game Shop, #psychology. And truth to be told, NEXON will never change this. Their sole purpose is to "force" you to spend your money in their shop, nothing else. The game is basically a huge shop built around a very small game, nothing else. I also stopped playing, since it's a pure waste of time, and NEXON's intentions are very obvious, it's basically like Lost Ark all over again just made by a different Asian studio. I wouldn't really be surprised if the game would die out in 6 months or so, since the player numbers are already started to drop. Their all-time peak was 264k on Steam, now a few days later it's already down to 180k, TLDR: people will and already are starting to realize the obvious. And everyone very well knows the predatory trackrecord of NEXON, so I wasn't really expected anything otherwise either.
@@Calla47 not necessarily true... warframe handles a lot of these things much better, they are diffrent games and while warframe does this aswell, you only need like 2 or 3 formas to get a GREAT build going and also getting EXP is much easier if you just stay for a while in a high level survival or defense mission.

My issue with the grind is the activities, they just get so boring real fast. I wish colossus were in the worlds or in other activities where you get a increase drop rates of the current activity rewards. Some item that you want are only on 1 or 2 activities. Like make other activities to get some items. Like hey if you want this piece for ultimate bunny you need to grind this hard ass mission.
I think these bottlenecks will be what causes many of us to leave. It's almost better to not go after something and just play the end game like a kind of new game plus and aquire bits and pieces over time and hope you get lucky. I love looter shooters but gave up on getting the bullet king on div 2 after 100s of same mission and it never dropping, it just burns you out. Let's hope the developers can find a better balance in how the game rewards the players for those more frustrating bottlenecks 👍

Me and my wife Pepper are chilling out in the pool right now, but when i go back inside ill give you some Warframe stats/numbers and add them as an additional comment. Im going to first guess that you could buy every prime (ultimate) warframe in the game (alot...probably like 40 of them) for the price of 1 ultimate decendant. And then ill also guess you could grind about 20 of them in the time it takes to grind 1 ultimate decendant. Gimme some time to chill in the pool and ill get back to you with those numbers.

Typical lazy farms will net you 20-40plat an hour or sweatier farms will net you 100ish plat an hour Warframe: 2100 platinum = 100$(US), which breaks down into: 21p = 1$ Cheapest Prime (ultimate) Warframe price on market is 30p, most expensive is 135p, with most falling in the middle about 60-70p. So 1.5$-6.5$ per Prime Warframe. To Buy EVERY Prime Warframe in the game = 3015p or about 150$(US) (42 Primed Warframes total) Also note that Warframe Frequently gives 25% 50% and 75% coupons on platinum purchases, so almost no one ever buys platinum at the full 2100/100$ price and instead waits a few days until they get a coupon. Ok...Next First Decendant: 5750 Caliber = 100$(US), which breaks down into: 57.5c = 1$ The non-premium Ultimate Decendant sets are 3000 Caliber or about 52$(US) So in conclusion...3 Ultimate Decendants = 42 Prime Warframes. Now I know this is comparing a game with an open trading market to one without one currently, so keep that in mind.
@@Simonb1471 Alright 1 more set of data, this time farming times. Now this will JUST be Warframe as you likely have alot more experience than me on First Decendant. Prime Warframes or Prime Weapons need 4 parts to make them. The rarity of these parts is sometimes SLIGHTLY varied, but typically its 1 common part, 2 uncommon parts, and 1 rare part. You get these parts by opening Relics (amorphus material). To farm Relics you will optimally run capture missions which take about 1 minute 30 seconds for an average person to complete, or under 45 seconds for a more optimized player. After the mission you have a 100% chance of obtaining the relic. However...unlike First Decendant you cannot normally 'target' farm relics, and will just have to spam those missions until you get the one you need. There is 1 type of relic called an 'axi' which is a slightly different optimal farm that takes about 3 minutes on average for a normal person to farm, but again a 100% drop chance. In each of these Relic Tiers there is 8 (9 for axi) relics available to drop. So normally you'll get on average 1 relic (your looking for) per 8 minutes spent farming. For Axi Relics (usually needed for 1 out of the 4 parts) it will be 1 relic (the one your looking for) per 27 minutes spent. Now here's the numbers for opening Relics and obtaining the actual Prime Warframe or Prime Weapon Part you are looking to farm... Ok...so...alone...by yourself...the % chance to obtain a RARE peice (usually only needed for 1/4 of the crafting items) is 2% or 10% if you fully upgrade your relic (kind of like 'shaping' your amorph but MUCH easier to do/farm) But...here's the kicker...you can CHOOSE OTHER PEOPLES REWARDS!!!!! So if you run with people and 3 people only get crappy drops that no1 needs but someone gets a rare gold drop, then everyone can choose to get the gold item from that persons relic. So what people normally do is they run groups farming the same relic...and for this the % chances are as follows to receive a rare item: 7.75% if everyone DOES NOT upgrade their relic or 35% if everyone upgrades their relic.
Last part for ultimate bunny left for me. Already 40 hrs grind just for 3 parts (first 2 after 6 hrs). I am going to check how long it takes to do just one and the easiest ultimate which is bunny where u dont even have to do hard colossus, then I finally use reactor to make one good char and focus on weapons. This sht is crazy. 3 fkn % chance.
i hate that you have to grind so much just to get the full ultimate weapon but then you have to grind through and get everything 4 more times just to fully upgrade it is horrible and discouraging.
Nexon is shady forever, in this game you farm mats just so u can start to farm another mats. to get a weapon or descendant you want each weapon and descendant need 4 core mats and to get 1 core mats you need to farm 4 sub mats so a total of 16 different mats 4x4=16 and all these mats don't have 100% drop rate and some of these mats need specific descendant that can cast say fire or toxic or chill or electric each descendant have only one elemental power, hance this is why you can pay real money for that descent with the elemental damage you need just so you use that descendant elemental power to farm the mats, that's right you didn't hear me wrong you pay real money just so you can farm. and then there's the upgrading the weapon/descendant side, that's WHOLE different ball game. no no no guess what? your fresh descendant that you just finally got is not even consider somewhat powerful, you got to re-level your descendant about 4-5 before your build feels good, but guess what? to re-level your descendant or weapon you need an item to reset the level which you can pay real money for or go farm 5 different mats to craft it instead.
in WF, worst case scenario you can easily farm other things mods/prime parts/items and sell it to other players for in-game currency through the game's integrated market chat and buy your cosmetic/premium/purchasable item. I say this after about 300 hours in WF, in just one week it's very easy to make 60$ worth of in-game currency, hard part is understanding all the systems at play, and knowing the market. economics baby!
Yea exactly, it’s kinda annoying for people saying to stop complaining about the grind but it’s actually pointless as to how much time you have to put into this game to get even descent stuff. I’ve farmed for materials /primes in warframe and it took me no more than 4hrs tops ever which is a much more understandable grind. It’s obvious that this game wants you to spend
the issue is its way too grindy for so many unlockable characters and weapons to maximize, its basically slaving away until you get even half the descendant at max level and a handful weapons at max level. it kills the motivation once you realize this. WAY TOO GRINDY
Yea Sharen, Blair, freyna, and bunny are all basically free. Also Sharen main here but outposts suck in design I farmed python the ultimate smg is god teir but outposts are just terribly designed. timer plus a character and you have to farm void fragments to spawn a boss is ridiculous. That part is crazy I did it but it’s multiple diff chance grinds to get one item. Also with warframe the grind is go here have a chance to get item. And if you don’t get item you get something you most likely can sell for plat and eventually you’ll get it one way or another my only problem with first descendant grind is that there’s only one way to get most items lacks diversity.
I saw this 3 hours into the game and completely ditched it. Honestly I was just waiting for everyone else to hit that point after the honeymoon phase was done and it looks like that's happening now
I noticed it in the beginning too, but I just figured I'd play it until it became a grind fest or I just finish the campaign, cause the core gameplay is pretty good.
Only things id like to see are -Decrease cost of most cash shop items by 15-20% -Create more diversity in campaign grind - double percentage of drops for all the high end stuff that is currently at like 2-3% that drop rate is a joke or let me pay to increase my drop chance idc
Ive been playing the same mission for hours yesterday the day before and today, only to get ONE sample for a weapon blueprint. Needless to say the one sample didn’t produce the part 😵💫 I’m so done with this game

Amen brother. I don't mind a grind and working for things but right now I'm working on getting basic Gley and it's been 4 days at min 4-5 hours a rip. Still working on getting that last part to start her research started to play her...uggg.
As a f2p player im fine with the game so far. I play like 2 3h a day. I got 6 descendant so far. Got 4 5 Legendary guns, some have unique skill are upgraded 2 times. Im making Blair right now. Its all rng. I did 3 missions 1 time each and got 3 parts that i needed then i did 50+ times 4th mission to get last part. All rng sadly. I have 8 9 transcended mods also. When this game put in Trade it will be even easier to get the parts you need. They only need to remove those trash Vaults.
Another point I would like to make about the trash game design, shields are useless in this game. Better off stacking HP and defence. This is the only game I have ever encountered that is this stupid. What is the point having a shield, when no matter how you stack it, you get one shot and the whole shield bar is gone. 🙄 No point trying to solo anything in hard mode, you will just die. Does not matter how powerful everything else is on your character. Has got to be the dumbest game design to date.
Yep correct just a huge mistake. Shields should charge much quicker after taking no damage. They should also start charging faster and taking no damage too
Why are people calling it "end game"? I played the game. Grinded as little as possible. Couldn't wait to reach Hard, so I could finally prepare for the "end game" that everyone was talking about. And what's the "end game" in the end? Normal at 5 levels higher. Warframe all over again. There is no end game. Only fashion game. Leveling and leveling and farming and leveling.
There are other colossus bosses in hard mode. Only 3 or 4 are the same. They already announced, new dungeon, new colossus, new character and trading. Coming next month. So relax and take a break
they need to remove the collision in bosses/dungeons. why am i stopping when my hitbox and my team overelaps? why am i stop running when i hit a ledge that is ankle height? its so stupid. im stuck on executioner on hard and its so bullshhhh

Try playing World of Warcraft and farming mounts or transmog(skins) where they have a 1% or less drop rate and you still don't have ones you have been farming for 10-14 years... Shout out to Invincible from Lich King who still seems to not want to drop for me 14 years straight... My point is The First Descendant grind is not that bad, the game has been out for not even a month and people are complaining about the insane grind. The drop rates are not that bad. The game is not supposed to just drop everything within the first couple weeks. It takes time to grind things and you work toward items and unlocks. Sure you could say it encourages people to go to the shop where you can purchase things, to which I will agree that their pricing is very aggressive and seems a bit high... but you don't HAVE to buy stuff, you can work toward stuff. Also I keep seeing people get how drop rates work incorrectly. if something has a 3% drop rate it does not mean that in 30 runs you will get 1 drop, that is not how that works. It is RNG, you roll the dice every time, the dice doesn't get smaller each time you roll. It is purely RNG luck... you could run something 200 times that has a 3% drop rate and if RNG is not on your side or you are extremely unlucky, you wont see that drop.
Yes I get that I know the difference between a percentage and a fraction. Wow has a story and missions even after completing the game. @@Simonb1471 Np dude. Yeah it can be rough with drop rates and I completely understand how it will throw people off from the game, its not great. But it is definitely some a lot of players are going to have a rough time with if they are not used to extremely low drop rates of items from other games. As for WoW.. for some drop rates of things, mostly some of the mounts that you can only try one time a week per character, like the one I mentioned above in my main comment, it can be much much worse then what is in TFD. But there are those good RNG times where you may get something right away or at least within the first few tries. A good example of this, I've been playing WoW since it started, and there are some mounts that I have tried getting for years and years with no luck... I got my fiancee into the game recently and she started playing and we ran some of those raids with mounts.. and she got some on her first or second try of killing the boss... I was shocked.. lol. That is just how it goes sometimes tho.
I was quite lucky I got most of Sharen on first run, but the blueprint took me 9 runs. The invisibility is ok ,but you really have to speck into this skill to make it last a while, same as Sharens ultimate ability, cool down is slow so you need to speck into cool downs and power. Unlike the Rabbits spam able, which is totally OP and virtually Zero cool down.
Energy activators and catalysts are ridiculously difficult to obtain. It's pay $20 or spend dozens of hours grinding materials and you need tons of them for descendants and weapons to even get a working build to meet dps checks for harder content. Then they gate rare resources behind outposts, elemental void shards/reactors and encrypted vaults that are essentially another lootbox with a low chance to drop the thing you need. Monetization in this game is too aggressive and has affected the design of the game at the detriment of the player. Gating anom materials and blueprints behind specific descendants (you don't have) is also super annoying.
Warframe was no way near as bad as TFD when it launched. That’s one of the main reasons it succeeded. If it was as bad as this ppl would not have been interested in it long term nor would it have survived. Started great and got even better over time. Noclip has a good documentary on it. Most don’t even know it started from Dark Sector(good game especially when I played it back in the day).
I dunno I played years after launch, I remember reading that somewhere. To be fair I think Warframe is a better game. I like TFD, but a lot of stuff feels half-assed and slapped together. *edit keep thinking the game is called last descendant lol
So the numbers are actually lies I've ran the exact same sharen gring for 3 days I've run those very missions 20 times in a row ....nothing. I have a life I'm 2 sessions away from being done already
I had not much time to play TFD, my machine is a bit below minimun requirements and had some instability issues, have been playing at 50 min. intervals with Geforce now, I think the game has almost a solid base to work with but it gives me a lot of pet peeves to really feel comfortable. It is well received that it took some systems from Warframe, but as a WF player i dont like that this systems have been atomize further, i think so nexon gets more monetization options. In WF you get better by getting mods, as you advance you get new activities with newer better of more diverse mods and so on, for your frames, for your weapons, for your pets, your vehicles. mod and mods. DE does not charge you space for getting mods, only for equipment. In TFD you have to get modules (you need to buy slots for this too, i think), but also need reactors and external components that you also need slots to keeep, and then slots for your guns and descendants. I think is good the game is very informative of how to get things, the module system is more restrained so it probably wont have as much problems with power creep as warframe. But in WF the farm is very concrete and you have systems in place to help, you have frames with farming abilities, pets with resource multiplier abilities, you have shared loot, you can even choose better rewards from other players loot crates (relics) and if you dont get what you want, you can farm something you prefer and trade with other players for it, and that is not counting farming strategies and bought boosters.
Just trying to find out what you need and how to open certain materials is putting me off. Infiltrating with Sharen takes ages and rarely rewards you with anything extra.
If you already have Sharen just level her to 26 for max level stealth skill and put 2 max duration mods on. My duration is up to 15 seconds without much investment and the missions take less than 30 seconds. Teleport away for a loading screen and back to reset the timer. I do think they need to do something about the timer, it definitely hurts the flow of the game.
one of the other horrible things in this game is when you keep getting blueprints for descendants that you already either have or have the blueprints for. There is no reason as to why you should keep getting blueprints for descendants that you either already have or have gotten a blueprint to drop for.
for the 5min reset missions, just teleport out of the region ur in and teleport back and it resets, ive been playing for 10 or so days, i got 6 legendary weapons and 8 descendant (including my start choice and bunny). but once u get to hard mode i agree it does get boring right after the storys done
It's a brand new game, got to give it time to adjust. They already made some improvements in the patch we got yesterday with increase loot for some activities. For now, am having fun. I only have the last boss left to do, my 5th descendant is on the way and I got 6 or 7 guns including Thunder Cage at max ability. Research is fine. While things 'cook', I got tons of stuff to do since I plan on getting all guns and all descendants.
The thing is most players prefer only using bunny because of her good looks and the shop for that character, even if they unlock the other characters they will stick to only bunny,,, she the most appealing then the others
as a warframe player i have no problems with the grind on this game, my problem is the lack of content post beating all the bosses on hard mode, once i do that, then what? its not like the game will ever get pvp its character designs are absolutely not designed for it, maybe if they did like bdo and adjusted pvp numbers but even then they would have to balance the abilities off of the pvp and not off of the pve for a pve centric game so pvp is never happening, id rather start warframe from scratch than to continue on this game because at least on warframe there are allot of options, maybe if the devs give the game updates but looking at their track record of player satisfaction i highly doubt this will ever get any updates like warframe, its probably just going to be a destiny clone that will lock expantions behind 300$ dlc's
The only grind in the game is farming ultimate bunny and gley other then that most things are really easy to get. Edit: I forgot to say that grinding levels to use catalysts can also be a grind but it can be made a lot easier if you have someone with a good build to carry you through wave defense missions.

Destiny 2 is a damn casual game now lmfao. Destiny 1 was similar grind they just didn't have percentages on the screen for everyone to panic. Took some of us like 30 crota runs just for a legendary raid weapon (black hammer). 60 or so for the first vex. Used to only be able to do the raids one time per week per character.
I have been grinding for Ultimate Bunny for over a week, still 4 peaces shy. The drop rates lead you to the in-game store. I have said this for weeks, the drop rates and the monetization of the game will kill the game, and the player's numbers are dropping like a rock...
After a ridiculously hard slog to get Gley, I'm now trying to get Jayber and I'm just weary of the grind in general and getting burned out. The outposts get very boring after a while and most of the rare items you need for characters are locked behind them.
When you play a game its should not feel like work you dont get paid for. I didn't even make it to end game and uninstalled that crap. Sharen grind was what made me uninstall lol. It is not 1/5 i was at 30+ chapels and 0 drop
The grind sucks, but it sucks more than it should because you are too focused on the objective. Most of the mats you gather when you fail to get what you want will be useful somewhere along the line. Focus on becoming better, improving your build, being more efficient, more helpful for the team while you are grinding. Eventually, you will get everything you need. Basically, it's not only in the destination, but also in the ride that you need to find your fun.
Just play a support character if you struggle that much with the boss I have a Tanky Enzo build and avg 30 to 40mil damage while also being able to survive and buff teammates devourer is probably the easiest hard mode boss if you know what your doing. Even if you don’t wanna play support it’s still not very hard to get a few catalysts to just level up your build they also just increased the amount of mats you get from farming vaults so it’s way easier to get materials to craft whatever your looking for the only tedious thing to do as of right now is farming the outposts.
i beat all the hard bosses between using ajax and gley, i can Solo up to hard pyros. its possible. just gotta build your guns and character well, you can do it too with a bit of grind and knowledge. Beefed up my tamer up to 520k dps now. (weak point and crit build)
Sharen is super easy to get and there's no reason to moan super straight forwards to do. right now there is no content in the game beside farming for items. After you have the items what are you doing? gerniune question. What would you use the items for? That content isn't in the game yet. Raids. Leaderboards. Speedrun missions events. The games only content right now is farming for items
I've reached endgame, played every character I've enjoyed the idea of... Now theres nothing, the campaign was rough, but the scenary was nice, the questing was hilarious, they're all the same repeated in 20 different areas... For me end game is PvP, and I guess thats never coming, but bored AF nothing to do, lasted 120 hours...
Grinding the weapons is cake compared to the ultimate descendants wait til u try that I took me 3-4 day just for ultimate lepic kand thats doing nothing but farming for the parts no game play doing missions just dealing with that damn outpost
it took me 4 hours a day every day for 3 weeks of grinding to get an ult lepic code i got ult ajax code before i finally got ult lepic its nuts and yeah having to have a specific character to sneak in just to potentially get the things you need is dumb
Yeah I think its a horrible thing making out posts have 5 minute cooldowns, so if you want a piece of the piece of the gun you not only have to grind you have to do something in between the grind
It took me 2 fucking weeks non stop grinding to get Bunny ultimate because im unlucky and i had no fun what so ever because these Outposts you need to do stealth are fucking bad. Then i see people arround me farming these ultimates in 2 days because of luck its bad game design and i know this game isnt the only one who has this stuff but the grind is not even fun in the first place for me. Not only that but you NEED to hit ultra lucky low procent rates to get the key for one part and then again you need to hit al ultra low drop rate to get the part from the key. They really dont want us getting these ultimates f2p.
Sorry to tell u but there won't be anything to rework since the game is exactly what it wants to be a looter like Warframe but the grind requires additional grinding.. yes I'm also not a big fan of void shards and the slow farm on them even with a fitting element..😅 but for the 5 minute cooldown u can just reload the area by entering another area preferably one with an outpost as well if it's not been farmed yet complete that one and basically work down a bunch of them instead of waiting for that one or keep returning to the one u need and skip waiting by just switching locations.. and yes as soon as u have everything u want the game becomes boring cause u can't use ur perfect build on anything except while grinding for additional gear so no endgame equals endless grind or maybe those mega dungeons will be an endgame activity who knows 🤷 but I like those games where the game is the grind but of not always 😅 sometimes I also just wanna get gear in a game by picking it up instead of waiting 40hrs. for it to be done😂
Yep it’s done as they planned. Only the hardcore player base will stick with this game. I enjoyed my time through the campaign but I’m done. I’m sure plenty of others will do the same
if u like grindy games u will enjoy Warframe much more cause there is a marketplace and trading which allows everyone to trade in their loot for other gear or platinum the real money currency so even as a free to play player u can have dozens of skins and shop items if u get complete sets and sell them or like me trade random pieces for other singular one's I still needed + no weird 5 minute cooldown after doing a mission and no void shards to open a relic and u can increase the drop rate with a resource that drops during a run of those relics so overall much better this game .. but in this game all of us had a fresh start I think that's a big reason for Warframe players to try this game

Running Bio Lab for some Blair Parts.... its supposed to have a drop chance of 20% ... so far 33 runs ... No Blair Part Drop so far... feels like i got Nexoned and they put my personally drop rate for this item into the 0.0xx% area .. btw ... i ll find it incredible stupid that every player got a different droptable .. saying could be that thru the 33 runs some other people in the team had the Blair drop while i didnt.. stupid system imho if you play the same mission and everybody gets a different drop
That's RNG. Drop rates don't work how a lot of people think. You can't run something that has a 3% drop rate and expect to get at least 1 of them within 30 runs. it's 3% every time. Think of it like this... every time you run it, you have a 97% chance every single time to not get that item.
sharen isnt hard to get for the stealth missions but even after you do, she kinda sucks... i know she CAN BE pretty good, but for an area with a bunch of adds and a boss in the middle... good luck... you will need to invest into that girl quite a bit... id rather just burst damage the outpost with bunny or valby and its going to be easier... it would make sense if you could stealth the outpost and no backup would show up, and then you just eliminate the enemies or something... but its the same thing gameplay wise...
Yea but I’ve only been playing for 4 days and already have 3 new descendants after bunny, 5 legendary weps, n crafted 2 catalyst not counting the free one. I’m not saying luck has nothing to do with it, I’m just very lucky or it’s not that bad, and u can actually play to get the most expensive items in the shop. I do feel you about there being basically nothing but grinding for boss battles, but almost all new games feel pointless nowadays, except for a few good games over the past decade.
I've done this before. Smart gamers will just grab 100% 🏆 achievements and participation PlayStation trophies and will then delete the game and go to another game. I did this with loot MMOs Bless Unleashed and Defiance 2050. I also did it on Neverwinter. I think I might do it again.... the grind is just too brutal... I was debating on farming Ultimate Ajax or Ultimate Lepic but it's just isn't worth the grind ..... v
i say tfd is like 5x the grind than warframe .. the moment i saw how grindy it is to farm another NORMAL char i stop playing . for example just a normal char for one part one part needs 4 mats 1= easy to get 2= easy to get 3= you need code breaker or some sort of key that is low chance of dropping -> you do this 8xor 12x i think (fyi sometimes 3rd part is harder cuz gated by another char ) 4= you need void fragments prolly 5x per key > you have 6% chance to get a amorphus something > you have 6% chance to get it from boss or something meanwhile on wf you farm PRIME (PRIME = ULTIMATE ) 1 part 1= easy to get 2= easy to get 3= easy to get 4= you need keys 45% -85% chance > you get blue print i forgot the % but it is not like a fking 3% and most of the time wf has 4 parts to build warframe prime and usually it is only 1 part is a bit hassle but not like fking tfd i gave nexon a chance to get my trust since a friend convince me to play lesson learned: never give redemption arc for nexon
I for sure get the complaints. I agree with alot of them, but at the end of the day its free to play, and I dont expect everyone to enjoy it. Its also brand new, people love to compare this to Warframe, but they forget that Warframe is over 10 years old and have gone through ALOT of changes to be what it is today. And Warframe is still a grind, just different, instead of actively playing you are waiting for things, to make 1 gun or a new frame you could be waiting several days. At least you get quick access to new guns without most of them being crafted or farmed. And for pay to win, I would argue Warframe is MUCH much more pay to win. You can openly trade premium currency with other players to skip all the grind of farming. I think as TFD stands right now, its not meant for someone who wants everything unlocked now, sure you can buy the Ultimate versions of descendants, but without grinding for the mods to optimize your stats, you wont be any better off than a free to play. I also am willing to give the devs and Nexon time to listen to complaints and change things. If they are wanting to be a real game that competes they will fix things and listen. If its a cashgrab well... They wont be the first company to do it, and wont be the last.
idk why people complain tbh i played warframe and its the same shit. Its the same type of grind the problem its not the grind AT ALL the problem is that we dont have a trade system beacuse in warframe u could be farming for hours for a Blue print and get pure shit but you could just trade a nice print that you have and dont want for the one that you want with another player. I have gotten so much 3% drop rates in 75 hours and i struggle the most with the 20% tbh if i could trade the extra blue prints that i have that would make everything easier

Took me 200 hours to realize, ya this game is dogshit. I've played rng based games for decades but this game is absurd. I need to grind 5 seperate missions for 5 hours each then grind another 5 missions for 10 hours each to finally get the pieces to actually craft the weapon, and those time slots are generous. I've been grinding the synthetic fiber for secret garden for 3-4 hours a day for around 5-6 days a week. FOR THREE WEEKS NOW. It has a 20% drop rate, and yet I get Transcendent mods with a 1% drop every half hour. Nexons rng system is a fucking ponzy scheme. I've lost my patience for this game. And yes sir. Warframe is grindy....but it's a much more consistent game. It's a much faster paced game, it's a game that actually rewards you for running the same mission over again. It's a game that rewards you and raises drop rates for playing with others. I think I'll go back to Warframe. Hell, most my clan has already gone back to Warframe anyway. End game content for The First Descendant is literally shit, the only good part about this "game" are the cheeks. And damn do they do that part well.
@@Simonb1471 I will admit it took me a long time to figure it out because you have 10+ years of content to push through. Focus on clearing your star chart and doing the main quests and you'll quickly figure it out. As you get further in the game start looking for clans to join cause having help for the later planets helps a lot. Hit a player hub and ask for clan invite in the chat you'll find one. And if you do join a clan you'll be able to easily access blueprints for dozens of Frames and weapons. Warframe is an excellent game, and I will never take its fair grind system for granted again. Something you can play after work for a few hours and make good progress.
the grinding in warframe is much better, and if you want something you can just target farm it and get it after a while, but then again, there is A LOT OF STUFF IN WARFRAME!! the grinding in TFD isnt really fun, i enjoy the gameplay but its starting to get stale, the double rng on the amorphous materials from outposts, grinding hard bosses with a bunch of hp, the invasions are not fun either and then the bosses also have a billion hp even though you can breeze through the rest of the dungeon... its kind of a mess right now, but they have been listening so hopefully some of these things change over time... maybe..
I stopped playing when I realized that their version of forma and potatoes(warframe items) are really grindy. To the point why? You lock these loot behind a 3 to 6 percent chance then farm all the resources that are hard to find and drop. They basically put ankle weights on your foot and direct you to their shop. Yes I know it's a free to play game. However, their monetization is too aggressive. If you have no life though this game is perfect for you

The forma are actually really easy to get, especially since they 3x vault loot and made forma materials drop from elite enemies. Blueprints for forma get up to 20%
Reactor and Ultimate descendants/end game Ultimate weapons are where they need to rework the grind.
Ultimate Ajax’s highest base drop chance is 10%. And it only goes to 16 with a shaper. The rest of the drop rates are 3-6%.
Tbh they need to do it Warframe style. A common part, uncommon parts, and then one really rate part.

I was able to get 2 of their forma by just playing the game passively, then I needed 1 more resource I just went to where to find it spent 10 mins and got enough of the green stuff to craft 4
I've found 5 blueprints for the forma thing well I've only got 3 for the one that half's a mod slot which is normally a 20% chance we'll the activator is a 3% also got 2 of them back to back getting rid of normal mode patterns
The grind seems more suited for a single no lifer, being a husband father, it’s hard to put in the needed hours to accomplish these things.

funny thing with nexon is that they were sued 6 months ago for having rigged drop rates in their games and tfd seems to have this exact problem of stuff not dropping even after hours of farming for it - warframe is grindy and the wait times are just as bad if not worse in some areas but you actually enjoy the grind since everything is relatively easy to get

The percentage drop rates on tfd don't seem right, the grind on Warframe was easy and didn't have some silly cooldown timer
What this game really needs is a survival mode that gives non stop rewards of better and better quality
For example say you’re farming a specific amorphous you start by getting 1 every say 3 waves than after round 9 it ups to x2 and so on
This would make grinding more fun and would make players strive to be stronger and stronger to min max rewards

For context - TFD seems to have taken the wprat aspects of Warframe and then made it 100x worse.
In WF you tend to get components for 2-3 other things while chasing after 1 thing. The end result is that you always have thongs building in your Foundry.
Warframe tends to feel more fair and player friendly in terms of progression - but it has a terrible new player experience. Luckily after TFD Warframe's aystems will feel similar enough to catch on quickly.

It’s not a terrible new player experience, I started warframe this year and I have been taking a few months break as I play several different games and warframe pretty much holds your hand, you just need to pay close attention. I would definitely recommend giving the game a try

I don't mind grinding if the grind is fun. This grind is a disappointment simulator. Ask my 15 Smithereens blueprints that I didn't ask for ONE of.....
i've gotten so many of those that if an amorphous has that as a blueprint i won't even open it cause i know thats all that i will drop
The feeling of, “this grind is to much” just hit me last night… I really like the game but when I’m farming for an ultimate weapon & just the blue print is a 6% drop rate but the material needed just to get a chance at that drop rate is a 40% drop rate in a very long activity you get burned out. And that is just 1 of 4 materials needed to craft the weapon… you shouldn’t have to spend 8+ hours grinding for 1/4 of a gun/descendant.
And then when you finally do get all the parts, you have to wait eight hours to have it made.
This has got to be the dumbest game design I have ever seen, which is why I uninstalled a week ago.

I very much enjoy myself when everything drops quite "easily" during the campaign until I'm done with the Hanged Man and after that, It's all going downhill for me
2-3 shots from a random foot soldier kills me on hard mode, people said I must have good mods on HP and DEF, and then I realized the grinds for the best mods and best weapons are just ridiculous with all these nonsense drop rates
I can see that some people said that the grind is manage-able but being an adult with responsibilities, this is quite impossible to do unless I drop some money in it which we all know that in this type of game, someday the server is gonna be offline and all the hard-earned money you spend here will vanish in to digital heaven

Honeymoon period will be over in the next 4 months. I stopped playing this game 4 days in with over 45hours and almost completed the story. Drop rates are trash and the things you need to farm the stuff you wanna craft are annoying. I have never complained about farming anything on Warframe and I have played over 3k hours both on PC and PS5 and yes I do spend money on it out of appreciation and love for this game cause it doesn't shove prime access or plats down might throat

I agree with the infiltration part. Its not the fact you need sharen to do them because getting her is easy. its how you do them. First off you need a lot of ability duration if you want to get to the power units and back to the outer wall before your ability runs out and you get spoted. But once you have a comfortable duration the problem now becomes your cooldown since the cooldown only starts once the ability wears off or you turn it off and the cooldown is criminally long. Its hard to do both. Also for some reason the enemies have an otherworldly 6th sense. Mfs can smell you out. If you activate your stealth after you get found out it doesn't count as being hiden so the countdown before you can infiltrate again doesn't show up. And god forbid they see you for a millisecond before you even start the infiltration. Because that still counts
I like the idea of doing it to get an extra reward but it should just be a chance to get the pattern from the main rewards drop a 2nd time not a pattern that can only be obtained by using that mechanic
Great point mate about getting another chance if you complete the infiltration mate. The cooldown between the mission sucks too even though you can do a workaround
@@Simonb1471 idk if the devs have said anything about the mission cooldown. if they do hopefully it's good news. but even if they don't plan on making it shorter hopefully they at least keep the exploit. because that's what is helping with the community's sanity when it comes to farming
I have had no trouble with doing the infiltrations you need like two mods and a level 30 sharen to do them even if your bad at the game. Even my friends who are brand new to the game can do them and they have like 13 seconds of skill duration on there sharen and most of there mods are underleveled
@@Axxrial I can confirm I was being too impatient. I didn't think that leveling up the skill would increase the duration so I was doing it low level. But I'm finally able to do it at character level 22. Thx for helping me use my head for once 🙏
As a Destiny and WF player I totally agree. And as you mentioned as well with "TFD seems to have taken the wprat aspects of Warframe and then made it 100x worse", it's 100% true. The reason for this is very simple, NEXON > Shop. The game is deliberately sugarcoating everything until the end of Normal mode / early Hard mode, making you feel that everything is "easily" obtainable, hence trying to pull you more into the game for the only sole purpose of slowly divert your attention towards their in-game Shop, #psychology. And truth to be told, NEXON will never change this. Their sole purpose is to "force" you to spend your money in their shop, nothing else. The game is basically a huge shop built around a very small game, nothing else. I also stopped playing, since it's a pure waste of time, and NEXON's intentions are very obvious, it's basically like Lost Ark all over again just made by a different Asian studio. I wouldn't really be surprised if the game would die out in 6 months or so, since the player numbers are already started to drop. Their all-time peak was 264k on Steam, now a few days later it's already down to 180k, TLDR: people will and already are starting to realize the obvious. And everyone very well knows the predatory trackrecord of NEXON, so I wasn't really expected anything otherwise either.

@@Calla47 not necessarily true... warframe handles a lot of these things much better, they are diffrent games and while warframe does this aswell, you only need like 2 or 3 formas to get a GREAT build going and also getting EXP is much easier if you just stay for a while in a high level survival or defense mission.

My issue with the grind is the activities, they just get so boring real fast. I wish colossus were in the worlds or in other activities where you get a increase drop rates of the current activity rewards. Some item that you want are only on 1 or 2 activities.
Like make other activities to get some items. Like hey if you want this piece for ultimate bunny you need to grind this hard ass mission.
I think these bottlenecks will be what causes many of us to leave. It's almost better to not go after something and just play the end game like a kind of new game plus and aquire bits and pieces over time and hope you get lucky.
I love looter shooters but gave up on getting the bullet king on div 2 after 100s of same mission and it never dropping, it just burns you out. Let's hope the developers can find a better balance in how the game rewards the players for those more frustrating bottlenecks 👍

Typical lazy farms will net you 20-40plat an hour or sweatier farms will net you 100ish plat an hour
Warframe: 2100 platinum = 100$(US), which breaks down into: 21p = 1$
Cheapest Prime (ultimate) Warframe price on market is 30p, most expensive is 135p, with most falling in the middle about 60-70p. So 1.5$-6.5$ per Prime Warframe.
To Buy EVERY Prime Warframe in the game = 3015p or about 150$(US) (42 Primed Warframes total)

@@Simonb1471 Alright 1 more set of data, this time farming times. Now this will JUST be Warframe as you likely have alot more experience than me on First Decendant.
Prime Warframes or Prime Weapons need 4 parts to make them. The rarity of these parts is sometimes SLIGHTLY varied, but typically its 1 common part, 2 uncommon parts, and 1 rare part.
You get these parts by opening Relics (amorphus material).
To farm Relics you will optimally run capture missions which take about 1 minute 30 seconds for an average person to complete, or under 45 seconds for a more optimized player. After the mission you have a 100% chance of obtaining the relic. However...unlike First Decendant you cannot normally 'target' farm relics, and will just have to spam those missions until you get the one you need.
There is 1 type of relic called an 'axi' which is a slightly different optimal farm that takes about 3 minutes on average for a normal person to farm, but again a 100% drop chance.
In each of these Relic Tiers there is 8 (9 for axi) relics available to drop. So normally you'll get on average 1 relic (your looking for) per 8 minutes spent farming. For Axi Relics (usually needed for 1 out of the 4 parts) it will be 1 relic (the one your looking for) per 27 minutes spent.
Now here's the numbers for opening Relics and obtaining the actual Prime Warframe or Prime Weapon Part you are looking to farm...
Ok...so...alone...by yourself...the % chance to obtain a RARE peice (usually only needed for 1/4 of the crafting items) is 2% or 10% if you fully upgrade your relic (kind of like 'shaping' your amorph but MUCH easier to do/farm)
But...here's the kicker...you can CHOOSE OTHER PEOPLES REWARDS!!!!! So if you run with people and 3 people only get crappy drops that no1 needs but someone gets a rare gold drop, then everyone can choose to get the gold item from that persons relic.
So what people normally do is they run groups farming the same relic...and for this the % chances are as follows to receive a rare item: 7.75% if everyone DOES NOT upgrade their relic or 35% if everyone upgrades their relic.
I just quit because of what I think are unfair drop rates. And I got ultimate descendants and everything I just can't do it anymore
Last part for ultimate bunny left for me. Already 40 hrs grind just for 3 parts (first 2 after 6 hrs). I am going to check how long it takes to do just one and the easiest ultimate which is bunny where u dont even have to do hard colossus, then I finally use reactor to make one good char and focus on weapons. This sht is crazy. 3 fkn % chance.
i hate that you have to grind so much just to get the full ultimate weapon but then you have to grind through and get everything 4 more times just to fully upgrade it is horrible and discouraging.
Warframe has the same system ish to get new Warframes and weapons but is a lot fairer and quicker
I’d recommend purely for the story content but you might run into some of the same frustrations as first descendant

Nexon is shady forever, in this game you farm mats just so u can start to farm another mats. to get a weapon or descendant you want each weapon and descendant need 4 core mats and to get 1 core mats you need to farm 4 sub mats so a total of 16 different mats 4x4=16 and all these mats don't have 100% drop rate and some of these mats need specific descendant that can cast say fire or toxic or chill or electric each descendant have only one elemental power, hance this is why you can pay real money for that descent with the elemental damage you need just so you use that descendant elemental power to farm the mats, that's right you didn't hear me wrong you pay real money just so you can farm. and then there's the upgrading the weapon/descendant side, that's WHOLE different ball game. no no no guess what? your fresh descendant that you just finally got is not even consider somewhat powerful, you got to re-level your descendant about 4-5 before your build feels good, but guess what? to re-level your descendant or weapon you need an item to reset the level which you can pay real money for or go farm 5 different mats to craft it instead.
in WF, worst case scenario you can easily farm other things mods/prime parts/items and sell it to other players for in-game currency through the game's integrated market chat and buy your cosmetic/premium/purchasable item. I say this after about 300 hours in WF, in just one week it's very easy to make 60$ worth of in-game currency, hard part is understanding all the systems at play, and knowing the market. economics baby!

the issue is its way too grindy for so many unlockable characters and weapons to maximize, its basically slaving away until you get even half the descendant at max level and a handful weapons at max level. it kills the motivation once you realize this. WAY TOO GRINDY
Yea Sharen, Blair, freyna, and bunny are all basically free. Also Sharen main here but outposts suck in design I farmed python the ultimate smg is god teir but outposts are just terribly designed. timer plus a character and you have to farm void fragments to spawn a boss is ridiculous. That part is crazy I did it but it’s multiple diff chance grinds to get one item.
Also with warframe the grind is go here have a chance to get item. And if you don’t get item you get something you most likely can sell for plat and eventually you’ll get it one way or another my only problem with first descendant grind is that there’s only one way to get most items lacks diversity.

Using bunny to run the grinds saves heaps of time, Sharon, valby and blair are pretty easy to unlock. Can understand the outpost timers though
As a f2p player im fine with the game so far. I play like 2 3h a day. I got 6 descendant so far. Got 4 5 Legendary guns, some have unique skill are upgraded 2 times. Im making Blair right now. Its all rng. I did 3 missions 1 time each and got 3 parts that i needed then i did 50+ times 4th mission to get last part. All rng sadly. I have 8 9 transcended mods also. When this game put in Trade it will be even easier to get the parts you need. They only need to remove those trash Vaults.

My point is The First Descendant grind is not that bad, the game has been out for not even a month and people are complaining about the insane grind. The drop rates are not that bad. The game is not supposed to just drop everything within the first couple weeks. It takes time to grind things and you work toward items and unlocks. Sure you could say it encourages people to go to the shop where you can purchase things, to which I will agree that their pricing is very aggressive and seems a bit high... but you don't HAVE to buy stuff, you can work toward stuff.
Also I keep seeing people get how drop rates work incorrectly. if something has a 3% drop rate it does not mean that in 30 runs you will get 1 drop, that is not how that works. It is RNG, you roll the dice every time, the dice doesn't get smaller each time you roll. It is purely RNG luck... you could run something 200 times that has a 3% drop rate and if RNG is not on your side or you are extremely unlucky, you wont see that drop.
Yes I get that I know the difference between a percentage and a fraction. Wow has a story and missions even after completing the game. @@Simonb1471 Np dude. Yeah it can be rough with drop rates and I completely understand how it will throw people off from the game, its not great. But it is definitely some a lot of players are going to have a rough time with if they are not used to extremely low drop rates of items from other games.
As for WoW.. for some drop rates of things, mostly some of the mounts that you can only try one time a week per character, like the one I mentioned above in my main comment, it can be much much worse then what is in TFD. But there are those good RNG times where you may get something right away or at least within the first few tries.
A good example of this, I've been playing WoW since it started, and there are some mounts that I have tried getting for years and years with no luck... I got my fiancee into the game recently and she started playing and we ran some of those raids with mounts.. and she got some on her first or second try of killing the boss... I was shocked.. lol. That is just how it goes sometimes tho.
I was quite lucky I got most of Sharen on first run, but the blueprint took me 9 runs.
The invisibility is ok ,but you really have to speck into this skill to make it last a while, same as Sharens ultimate ability, cool down is slow so you need to speck into cool downs and power.
Unlike the Rabbits spam able, which is totally OP and virtually Zero cool down.
Energy activators and catalysts are ridiculously difficult to obtain. It's pay $20 or spend dozens of hours grinding materials and you need tons of them for descendants and weapons to even get a working build to meet dps checks for harder content. Then they gate rare resources behind outposts, elemental void shards/reactors and encrypted vaults that are essentially another lootbox with a low chance to drop the thing you need. Monetization in this game is too aggressive and has affected the design of the game at the detriment of the player. Gating anom materials and blueprints behind specific descendants (you don't have) is also super annoying.
My understanding Warframe wasn't well received at launch, most people are comparing it to Warframe after years of updates.
Warframe was no way near as bad as TFD when it launched.

I’ve seen 30 minutes or less missions take 7-8 minutes regularly. It all depends really, they amount of time is pretty inaccurate in my experience.
So the numbers are actually lies I've ran the exact same sharen gring for 3 days I've run those very missions 20 times in a row ....nothing. I have a life I'm 2 sessions away from being done already

I had not much time to play TFD, my machine is a bit below minimun requirements and had some instability issues, have been playing at 50 min. intervals with Geforce now, I think the game has almost a solid base to work with but it gives me a lot of pet peeves to really feel comfortable. It is well received that it took some systems from Warframe, but as a WF player i dont like that this systems have been atomize further, i think so nexon gets more monetization options.
In WF you get better by getting mods, as you advance you get new activities with newer better of more diverse mods and so on, for your frames, for your weapons, for your pets, your vehicles. mod and mods. DE does not charge you space for getting mods, only for equipment. In TFD you have to get modules (you need to buy slots for this too, i think), but also need reactors and external components that you also need slots to keeep, and then slots for your guns and descendants.
I think is good the game is very informative of how to get things, the module system is more restrained so it probably wont have as much problems with power creep as warframe. But in WF the farm is very concrete and you have systems in place to help, you have frames with farming abilities, pets with resource multiplier abilities, you have shared loot, you can even choose better rewards from other players loot crates (relics) and if you dont get what you want, you can farm something you prefer and trade with other players for it, and that is not counting farming strategies and bought boosters.
Just trying to find out what you need and how to open certain materials is putting me off. Infiltrating with Sharen takes ages and rarely rewards you with anything extra.
You can find everything out tbf but its just too complicated. I wanna chill when playing a game not this.
If you already have Sharen just level her to 26 for max level stealth skill and put 2 max duration mods on. My duration is up to 15 seconds without much investment and the missions take less than 30 seconds. Teleport away for a loading screen and back to reset the timer. I do think they need to do something about the timer, it definitely hurts the flow of the game.
one of the other horrible things in this game is when you keep getting blueprints for descendants that you already either have or have the blueprints for. There is no reason as to why you should keep getting blueprints for descendants that you either already have or have gotten a blueprint to drop for.
for the 5min reset missions, just teleport out of the region ur in and teleport back and it resets, ive been playing for 10 or so days, i got 6 legendary weapons and 8 descendant (including my start choice and bunny). but once u get to hard mode i agree it does get boring right after the storys done
They just need to get rid of the 5 min reset and change it to say 1 minute mate.
I couldn't agree more. I had fun until the 1st hard boss but for now I will let it aside since the grind is way too tedious for me.
It's a brand new game, got to give it time to adjust. They already made some improvements in the patch we got yesterday with increase loot for some activities.
For now, am having fun. I only have the last boss left to do, my 5th descendant is on the way and I got 6 or 7 guns including Thunder Cage at max ability. Research is fine. While things 'cook', I got tons of stuff to do since I plan on getting all guns and all descendants.

as a warframe player i have no problems with the grind on this game, my problem is the lack of content post beating all the bosses on hard mode, once i do that, then what? its not like the game will ever get pvp its character designs are absolutely not designed for it, maybe if they did like bdo and adjusted pvp numbers but even then they would have to balance the abilities off of the pvp and not off of the pve for a pve centric game so pvp is never happening, id rather start warframe from scratch than to continue on this game because at least on warframe there are allot of options, maybe if the devs give the game updates but looking at their track record of player satisfaction i highly doubt this will ever get any updates like warframe, its probably just going to be a destiny clone that will lock expantions behind 300$ dlc's

The only grind in the game is farming ultimate bunny and gley other then that most things are really easy to get. Edit: I forgot to say that grinding levels to use catalysts can also be a grind but it can be made a lot easier if you have someone with a good build to carry you through wave defense missions.

Destiny 2 is a damn casual game now lmfao. Destiny 1 was similar grind they just didn't have percentages on the screen for everyone to panic. Took some of us like 30 crota runs just for a legendary raid weapon (black hammer). 60 or so for the first vex. Used to only be able to do the raids one time per week per character.

I have been grinding for Ultimate Bunny for over a week, still 4 peaces shy. The drop rates lead you to the in-game store. I have said this for weeks, the drop rates and the monetization of the game will kill the game, and the player's numbers are dropping like a rock...
After a ridiculously hard slog to get Gley, I'm now trying to get Jayber and I'm just weary of the grind in general and getting burned out. The outposts get very boring after a while and most of the rare items you need for characters are locked behind them.
When you play a game its should not feel like work you dont get paid for. I didn't even make it to end game and uninstalled that crap. Sharen grind was what made me uninstall lol. It is not 1/5 i was at 30+ chapels and 0 drop
The grind sucks, but it sucks more than it should because you are too focused on the objective. Most of the mats you gather when you fail to get what you want will be useful somewhere along the line. Focus on becoming better, improving your build, being more efficient, more helpful for the team while you are grinding. Eventually, you will get everything you need. Basically, it's not only in the destination, but also in the ride that you need to find your fun.

Just play a support character if you struggle that much with the boss I have a Tanky Enzo build and avg 30 to 40mil damage while also being able to survive and buff teammates devourer is probably the easiest hard mode boss if you know what your doing. Even if you don’t wanna play support it’s still not very hard to get a few catalysts to just level up your build they also just increased the amount of mats you get from farming vaults so it’s way easier to get materials to craft whatever your looking for the only tedious thing to do as of right now is farming the outposts.
i beat all the hard bosses between using ajax and gley, i can Solo up to hard pyros. its possible. just gotta build your guns and character well, you can do it too with a bit of grind and knowledge. Beefed up my tamer up to 520k dps now. (weak point and crit build)
And Nexon will not let them change the drop rates, because TFD is a Nexon cash grab...

Sharen is super easy to get and there's no reason to moan super straight forwards to do. right now there is no content in the game beside farming for items. After you have the items what are you doing? gerniune question. What would you use the items for? That content isn't in the game yet. Raids. Leaderboards. Speedrun missions events. The games only content right now is farming for items

I've reached endgame, played every character I've enjoyed the idea of... Now theres nothing, the campaign was rough, but the scenary was nice, the questing was hilarious, they're all the same repeated in 20 different areas... For me end game is PvP, and I guess thats never coming, but bored AF nothing to do, lasted 120 hours...
You can get the patterns from going in guns blazing as long as you do it quick its successful
Grinding the weapons is cake compared to the ultimate descendants wait til u try that I took me 3-4 day just for ultimate lepic kand thats doing nothing but farming for the parts no game play doing missions just dealing with that damn outpost

Yeah I think its a horrible thing making out posts have 5 minute cooldowns, so if you want a piece of the piece of the gun you not only have to grind you have to do something in between the grind
It took me 2 fucking weeks non stop grinding to get Bunny ultimate because im unlucky and i had no fun what so ever because these Outposts you need to do stealth are fucking bad. Then i see people arround me farming these ultimates in 2 days because of luck its bad game design and i know this game isnt the only one who has this stuff but the grind is not even fun in the first place for me. Not only that but you NEED to hit ultra lucky low procent rates to get the key for one part and then again you need to hit al ultra low drop rate to get the part from the key. They really dont want us getting these ultimates f2p.
Sorry to tell u but there won't be anything to rework since the game is exactly what it wants to be a looter like Warframe but the grind requires additional grinding.. yes I'm also not a big fan of void shards and the slow farm on them even with a fitting element..😅 but for the 5 minute cooldown u can just reload the area by entering another area preferably one with an outpost as well if it's not been farmed yet complete that one and basically work down a bunch of them instead of waiting for that one or keep returning to the one u need and skip waiting by just switching locations.. and yes as soon as u have everything u want the game becomes boring cause u can't use ur perfect build on anything except while grinding for additional gear so no endgame equals endless grind or maybe those mega dungeons will be an endgame activity who knows 🤷 but I like those games where the game is the grind but of not always 😅 sometimes I also just wanna get gear in a game by picking it up instead of waiting 40hrs. for it to be done😂

if u like grindy games u will enjoy Warframe much more cause there is a marketplace and trading which allows everyone to trade in their loot for other gear or platinum the real money currency so even as a free to play player u can have dozens of skins and shop items if u get complete sets and sell them or like me trade random pieces for other singular one's I still needed + no weird 5 minute cooldown after doing a mission and no void shards to open a relic and u can increase the drop rate with a resource that drops during a run of those relics so overall much better this game .. but in this game all of us had a fresh start I think that's a big reason for Warframe players to try this game

Running Bio Lab for some Blair Parts.... its supposed to have a drop chance of 20% ... so far 33 runs ... No Blair Part Drop so far... feels like i got Nexoned and they put my personally drop rate for this item into the 0.0xx% area ..
btw ... i ll find it incredible stupid that every player got a different droptable .. saying could be that thru the 33 runs some other people in the team had the Blair drop while i didnt.. stupid system imho if you play the same mission and everybody gets a different drop

That's RNG. Drop rates don't work how a lot of people think. You can't run something that has a 3% drop rate and expect to get at least 1 of them within 30 runs. it's 3% every time. Think of it like this... every time you run it, you have a 97% chance every single time to not get that item.

sharen isnt hard to get for the stealth missions but even after you do, she kinda sucks... i know she CAN BE pretty good, but for an area with a bunch of adds and a boss in the middle... good luck... you will need to invest into that girl quite a bit... id rather just burst damage the outpost with bunny or valby and its going to be easier... it would make sense if you could stealth the outpost and no backup would show up, and then you just eliminate the enemies or something... but its the same thing gameplay wise...

Yea but I’ve only been playing for 4 days and already have 3 new descendants after bunny, 5 legendary weps, n crafted 2 catalyst not counting the free one. I’m not saying luck has nothing to do with it, I’m just very lucky or it’s not that bad, and u can actually play to get the most expensive items in the shop. I do feel you about there being basically nothing but grinding for boss battles, but almost all new games feel pointless nowadays, except for a few good games over the past decade.
I've done this before. Smart gamers will just grab 100% 🏆 achievements and participation PlayStation trophies and will then delete the game and go to another game. I did this with loot MMOs Bless Unleashed and Defiance 2050. I also did it on Neverwinter. I think I might do it again.... the grind is just too brutal... I was debating on farming Ultimate Ajax or Ultimate Lepic but it's just isn't worth the grind

i say tfd is like 5x the grind than warframe .. the moment i saw how grindy it is to farm another NORMAL char i stop playing . for example just a normal char for one part
one part needs 4 mats
1= easy to get
2= easy to get
3= you need code breaker or some sort of key that is low chance of dropping -> you do this 8xor 12x i think (fyi sometimes 3rd part is harder cuz gated by another char )
4= you need void fragments prolly 5x per key > you have 6% chance to get a amorphus something > you have 6% chance to get it from boss or something
meanwhile on wf you farm PRIME (PRIME = ULTIMATE )
1 part
1= easy to get
2= easy to get
3= easy to get
4= you need keys 45% -85% chance > you get blue print i forgot the % but it is not like a fking 3%
and most of the time wf has 4 parts to build warframe prime and usually it is only 1 part is a bit hassle but not like fking tfd

I for sure get the complaints. I agree with alot of them, but at the end of the day its free to play, and I dont expect everyone to enjoy it. Its also brand new, people love to compare this to Warframe, but they forget that Warframe is over 10 years old and have gone through ALOT of changes to be what it is today.
And Warframe is still a grind, just different, instead of actively playing you are waiting for things, to make 1 gun or a new frame you could be waiting several days. At least you get quick access to new guns without most of them being crafted or farmed. And for pay to win, I would argue Warframe is MUCH much more pay to win. You can openly trade premium currency with other players to skip all the grind of farming.
I think as TFD stands right now, its not meant for someone who wants everything unlocked now, sure you can buy the Ultimate versions of descendants, but without grinding for the mods to optimize your stats, you wont be any better off than a free to play. I also am willing to give the devs and Nexon time to listen to complaints and change things. If they are wanting to be a real game that competes they will fix things and listen. If its a cashgrab well... They wont be the first company to do it, and wont be the last.
idk why people complain tbh i played warframe and its the same shit. Its the same type of grind the problem its not the grind AT ALL the problem is that we dont have a trade system beacuse in warframe u could be farming for hours for a Blue print and get pure shit but you could just trade a nice print that you have and dont want for the one that you want with another player. I have gotten so much 3% drop rates in 75 hours and i struggle the most with the 20% tbh if i could trade the extra blue prints that i have that would make everything easier
Great point trading would be so good for this game. Again never played Warfare so I do not know that games system

Took me 200 hours to realize, ya this game is dogshit. I've played rng based games for decades but this game is absurd. I need to grind 5 seperate missions for 5 hours each then grind another 5 missions for 10 hours each to finally get the pieces to actually craft the weapon, and those time slots are generous. I've been grinding the synthetic fiber for secret garden for 3-4 hours a day for around 5-6 days a week. FOR THREE WEEKS NOW. It has a 20% drop rate, and yet I get Transcendent mods with a 1% drop every half hour. Nexons rng system is a fucking ponzy scheme. I've lost my patience for this game. And yes sir. Warframe is grindy....but it's a much more consistent game. It's a much faster paced game, it's a game that actually rewards you for running the same mission over again. It's a game that rewards you and raises drop rates for playing with others. I think I'll go back to Warframe. Hell, most my clan has already gone back to Warframe anyway. End game content for The First Descendant is literally shit, the only good part about this "game" are the cheeks. And damn do they do that part well.

@@Simonb1471 I will admit it took me a long time to figure it out because you have 10+ years of content to push through. Focus on clearing your star chart and doing the main quests and you'll quickly figure it out. As you get further in the game start looking for clans to join cause having help for the later planets helps a lot. Hit a player hub and ask for clan invite in the chat you'll find one. And if you do join a clan you'll be able to easily access blueprints for dozens of Frames and weapons. Warframe is an excellent game, and I will never take its fair grind system for granted again. Something you can play after work for a few hours and make good progress.

the grinding in warframe is much better, and if you want something you can just target farm it and get it after a while, but then again, there is A LOT OF STUFF IN WARFRAME!!
the grinding in TFD isnt really fun, i enjoy the gameplay but its starting to get stale, the double rng on the amorphous materials from outposts, grinding hard bosses with a bunch of hp, the invasions are not fun either and then the bosses also have a billion hp even though you can breeze through the rest of the dungeon... its kind of a mess right now, but they have been listening so hopefully some of these things change over time... maybe..
