I have curly hair, and I absolutely LOVE this product! One tip, insert the root clips so where the hinge meets is at the back of the head versus the face. That lessens the creases in the front. I put them in when my hair is towel dried and my product is applied. I leave them in while I diffuse my hair. The lift stays for at least two days.
Thank you, B-Unit Adventures! I have been wanting to try these, and my hair is wavy. I can't imagine using these with dry hair and no product....and expecting it to hold. So happy to see this worked for you!!
It worked for me. I dampened my roots once they were in the clips. It won't have a good effect if your hair is dry. Also it helps to not have a middle part while using the clips. Put a clip right in the center, where your middle part would go, then add the other clips. Then after you take the clips out, then you can part it in the middle......much more volume. My hair won't have volume even if I blow dry like like suggested at the end of this video.
What if your hair was damp and your wrapped the hair around it once at the roots, kind of like a curler. And tried putting the flat part of the clip against your head? Then flipped the excess hair to the opposite side and used the hair dryer and heat them from up underneath? It's kind of the same as just parting the hair and using the blow dryer but it might help with hold? I think you could definitely play around and make them work
Thanks Milabu, I was wondering about getting these roller things, but couldn’t see how they would work, so you have saved me wasting money. Love your videos and the tests you put things through - you’re great! Xx
I immediately ordered these (before even getting into your test) because I need volume air drying with the curly girl method, I’ve used clips before and it works but these look easier
Your side to side method works great for me too. I too have fine, limp hair and it works great for me. I ordered the Briogeo hair mask and I'm so excited to get it and try it after hearing you rave about it. Thank you for all of your great tips and great videos.
I appreciate your testing of this product. I’ll stick with a bit of mousse & 2 ½ inch Velcro rollers in my a-line bob, air dry or hair dryer (depending on time), a little spray on the crown 5 minutes before I remove the rollers, then a bit of hair spray on my fingertips, and shove my fingers into my hair to put the spray directly at the roots, and hold a minute or so. It’s not crazy high volume, but it’s not flat, and lasts a day or so.
A trick that helps me is after blowing my hair upside down, gather it up loosely with a little twist, roll with finger into a curl and clip while it cools. Then it has lift and body.
SO glad you reviewed this - I almost ordered them. I do have a brush hair dryer I haven't used yet (COVID has kept me home and my hair has gotten so crazy long and my dryer isn't flat, it's oval with bristles all around.) I don't dare try it until I get the ratty few inches cut off. Meanwhile, claw-clips are my friend.
I knew that was going to happen with the creases! For those of you with fine hair, Not your mothers dry shampoo with tapioca helps and adds texture...use sparingly. And a good cut by someone that is good at working with fine thin hair!!!
Wait don't you have to spray it with some type of holding product??? Otherwise how would it lift the hair? Oh, didn't know....CONGRATS on your new 🚼baby!!!
I use them on my short curly hair and they do a great job! I think it depends how fine your hair is and how long your hair is. I use them on damp hair with some leave in conditioner in it.
My hair is fine, mostly straight and there's a dense amount of it. For me to get or keep volume, I have turned to using Big Sexy Hair - Powder Play. It gives me texture. It makes me think of hairspray in powder form. If I put enough on my hair, the hair will stay put without falling.
Someone mentioned the only thing that helped was Monat for postpartum hair. Just want to say I've used it for years because it's a clean product, but the only way to buy it is to participate in its MLM structure. Huge turn off at this point, and looking for another product line with zero chemicals in it to replace it. This was my first Milabu video I watched - thanks for posting these!
Raises both hands as my hair won't stand up!! Those clips look like a throwback to the 90s almost when the tiny tight twists tight to the head was all the fashion!! (The fashion police were never away from my door in my teenage years in the 90's 😆
Head upside down while blow drying...or over night 4 buns (curled and volumed up 😉). That's how I do it. And you are my what to do with my hair inspiration 👍 So once again, thank you for everything you thought us over the years, we love you ❤️💖
I use the Revlon One Step Volumizer & Hair Dryer (bought off your recommendation.) I use it & do exactly what you said about drying the hair the opposite direction. I think my entire hair routine/products are because of you 😉. Much love from GA 🍑💕.
Thank you so much for your candid review. You just saved me time, money & frustration. Off to use your tips on blowing my hair, looking forward to better results.
I learned that technique from the patent for method for concealing baldness 🤣 I have a cowlick on the middle of the top back of my hair, I was hoping those things worked.
Loreal hair volumizing mouse works just great when lift and blowdry your hair with your fingers. That looks like alot of trouble if you have long hair😷😉❤
I’ve a blown dryer and hairspray but it also falls. I’ve got got fine thin hair. I tease it and it stays but it I can’t do it all the the time. Hairspray never works for long.
isnt that what hairdressers have been doing since the invention of hair to put in some clippers and let the hair dry with them? so this is just a reinvention with what already existed but with more expensive (maybe?) accessories..
Interesting 🧐 have you seen the new Revlon Volumixer, like the older one we all love only smaller I think it’s barrel is 2,4 only absolutely only think Costco sells it, saw it online for 49.00. Great there is one video on YT, let us know.😍
@Judi Goldfarb, my local Sam's Club is selling the original one for $49 right now. I haven't seen the 2.4" size that your talking about. I just looked at it online at Costco & it's the Titanium Max Edition. Says it has charcoal infused pins. I'd be interested to see a review on it compared to the original. I absolutely love my Revlon One Step Volumizer & Hair Dryer!! Best invention ever 😂. It really changed my hair game.
Brandy Freeman hi, thanks for the response. I have the original which I bought at Ultra several years ago. I was excited about the smaller barrel because I have a shorter Bob. I’m going to keep checking.
Hi, That was a bit gimmicky wouldn't be something I would buy whatever the price is. I think the best volume you got with a hair tool, Is when you used the Revlon One Step Hairdryer and Volumiser 😘. Thank you for this video and wait for your next video ☺️.
I lost so much hair postpartum that it clogged the vacuum and caught fire. It’s so unsettling losing tons of hair. I ended up getting a pixie cut both times.
these r made litrly for curling the hair and how do u expecte anything to happen in 30 sec. they usually used i think with fixing spray or hair drayer and u leave the ruler a while in ur hair
Great tips, beautiful hair, adorable baby boy 😍 what are your favorite products for really fine thin hair? If you have a video already please let me know.
she didn't use them correctly. You have to dampen your roots after you get the clips in. Also, you have to start with the 1st clip in the center, then add the rest. You can't part hair in the middle, then add the clips.

Tjmaxx is carrying them for less than $5 for 6. I really like them. I have wavy curly hair.
Your face when you realized nothing happened was everything.. I love your energy and watching your videos
Even if I get volume it always falls out before I leave home
Same !
Me too!
Setting spray after the hair cools down to retain shape
Me too!

And these clips have made a come back in 2023

I just used them, I put volumizing gel on my hair first and they worked fine. I have short thin baby fine hair.
Thanks for taking one for the team! You are awesome!
As a curly girl I'd thought immediately these would get stuck?
Andrea F hopefully not, I’ll try to remember to reply with the results after I get them 😂
Hi. Did they work on ure curly hair? I have curly hair too and desperately want volume and fullness on the top and sides of my head, as in the 90s...
@@andreaf5765 Yep, those little teeth are gonna bite on the way out!!!
If you have straight hair, get the velcro type rollers, and some clips to keep them in place
Velcro rollers and heat or the relvon one step volumizer/hair dryer. Works everytime
Velcro Rollers after drying with brush &hairdryer. If u have the time.
Your side to side method works great for me too. I too have fine, limp hair and it works great for me. I ordered the Briogeo hair mask and I'm so excited to get it and try it after hearing you rave about it. Thank you for all of your great tips and great videos.
I use big velcro rollers when I straighten my hair... let it cool and voila!
Please continue to share even the flops! I want to know if it works or not. I appreciate you showing how you do it “old school”
I agree with others that your hair need to be damp. Maybe you should do another video with damp hair.
I appreciate your testing of this product. I use small velcro rollers spray it with hairspray then blow dry! It works!!!
Thank you for saving me $10. Almost bought this.
A trick that helps me is after blowing my hair upside down, gather it up loosely with a little twist, roll with finger into a curl and clip while it cools. Then it has lift and body.
Thanks for trying all the hair tools and demo for us....
What kind of hairbrush is good for fine, frizzy hair? Thanks for doing this video. I almost bought these so you saved me some money!
That's me too, fine and frizzy hair!
SO glad you reviewed this - I almost ordered them. You have the best hair tips, thank you!!
I knew that was going to happen with the creases!
For those of you with fine hair, Not your mothers dry shampoo with tapioca helps and adds texture...use sparingly. And a good cut by someone that is good at working with fine thin hair!!!
That's the first time a man ever gave me beauty tips. I'll try it.👱♀️
Wait don't you have to spray it with some type of holding product??? Otherwise how would it lift the hair? Oh, didn't know....CONGRATS on your new 🚼baby!!!
You needed to dampen the hair first. I also use a little root spray in damp hair. Lasts all day for me.
I use them on my short curly hair and they do a great job! I think it depends how fine your hair is and how long your hair is.
I use them on damp hair with some leave in conditioner in it.
That was a great reaction! Love it
Thank you.
I avoid anything with spikes though. They always get caught in my hair and are a nightmare to remove.
I’ve been waiting to see a review of these things!
My hair is fine, mostly straight and there's a dense amount of it. For me to get or keep volume, I have turned to using Big Sexy Hair - Powder Play. It gives me texture. It makes me think of hairspray in powder form. If I put enough on my hair, the hair will stay put without falling.
I think if you did horizontal rows front to center back should work? 80s girl did it with hot rollers & stiff stuff hairspray... volume for days!
Someone mentioned the only thing that helped was Monat for postpartum hair. Malibu loves the 80's!
😂😂😂😂😂
I'm just messin', though the 80's were totally rad!
This is the second video showing these are a fail and yet I still want to try 😅 ... but i won’t
I absolutely lol’ed at ur intro. Just stared watching, I know I’ll be laughing all along!! Gosh, Milabu, u are the sweetest!
I use the Revlon One Step Volumizer & Hair Dryer (bought off your recommendation.) I use it & do exactly what you said about drying the hair the opposite direction. I think my entire hair routine/products are because of you 😉. Much love from GA 🍑💕.

I bought a heat styling tool called the voloom
it works GREAT and is quick and easy
You are awesome I love your videos.
Hi can you please share the name of the air wrap brush you use. Thank you
Thank you for sharing that just by the look on your face how it didn't work thank you for making this video so other people don't go out and buy it.
Thanks for saving me time and money
I learned that technique from the patent for method for concealing baldness 🤣 I have a cowlick on the middle of the top back of my hair, I was hoping those things worked.
It seems like a little moisture would help.

I like to use Voloom (hot hair tool) for top root volume. It works great
I love this video and really needed a tip like this!
That's what I've always done, which is what I saw my mom doing with her hair when I was growing up.
I love the voloom for volume!!
Honestly the best thing I used to help combat my post-partum hairless was using Monat shampoo and conditioner.
I feel like these would be great for air drying curly/wavy hair! 🤔👩🏼🦱
My thoughts too!
Those teeth r a concern tho. Will get caught up in the curls and hurt like heck when removing them...
I think your hair would need to be wet first then dried in place. That’s how hair is ‘set’ in any style.
I could see this working maybe with washed hair?
Love your videos❤️
Cool video! The Dyson did a great job! I love your sweat top where did you get it from??
isnt that what hairdressers have been doing since the invention of hair to put in some clippers and let the hair dry with them? so this is just a reinvention with what already existed but with more expensive (maybe?) accessories..
What texturizing paste does Andre use please? Thank you.....
Do they come in more than one size? Never mind
Love your videos 💖💖💖
Are you sure you have them positioned properly.
If anything, it looks FLATTER 😂😂😂
Omg I love your videos!
💙💙
I heard that to prevent hair loss after pregnancy, you continue to take the prenatal vitamins.
Thank you so much for what you do

They’re supposed to be used slightly damp. Your hair was completely dry when you used these
You should of did it with damp hair and with some type of spray control. Not a fair review.
Hey where from is that lovley hoodie? :)
Great idea🤔😀❤️ thank youuuuu😘😘😘
Hi, That was a bit gimmicky wouldn't be something I would buy whatever the price is. I think the best volume you got with a hair tool, Is when you used the Revlon One Step Hairdryer and Volumiser 😘. Thank you for this video and wait for your next video ☺️.
Omg sweater details plss 😍
Sad for your review 😮
I absolutely LOVE mine! And I have fine hair that goes flat. You should give them a chance! 🤦♀️🤷
Yours energy boost me🎊🎉♥️
I lost so much hair postpartum that it clogged the vacuum and caught fire. It’s so unsettling losing tons of hair. I ended up getting a pixie cut both times.
Yes I have both 😥
Your beauty is captivating 💜💜💜💜
You need to over direct your hair completely over, put the roller on, then flip back and add heat.
Bought them. Didn’t work. It’s very hard to get the curl thing in the right place. I only wanted more pop just in my side bangs. Didn’t get any.
I love your nails 😍😍
Could you make a vid for them 😍😍
Lol!! I have limp hair!!
these r made litrly for curling the hair and how do u expecte anything to happen in 30 sec. they usually used i think with fixing spray or hair drayer and u leave the ruler a while in ur hair
if u want to try it rule ur hair from its to ruts with it and use the clip when ur reach the roots so ruler dont fall out
That face after fluffing 😂😂😂
I flip my head too.
i need that shirt its sooo nice :))))
Great tips, beautiful hair, adorable baby boy 😍 what are your favorite products for really fine thin hair? If you have a video already please let me know.
This gave me a great laugh! 😀
Ha ha!! Your way is much better!! Tfs though!!💖
Looks cute on her but I have too much volume😵. Im all about...serums.
It’s good that you show us the things that don’t work too though, because then we know not to waste our money on it 🏆
LOL I actually needed a guy tip to figure out how to do my son's hair
3:45 This is my Halloween costume ❣️
Lol. I burst out laughing too when you took them out. It’s a flop.
I love that you show the fails, saves us wasting our money on it
