I’m learning also. I think you did great! I didn’t know you could style a regular synthetic wig. Thank you.

Thank you. I was afraid I might ruin it but on a low heat I managed quite a lot of change!

There are a couple of good videos on RUclips about using a fabric steamer on non-heat friendly wigs. The real key seems to be keep the steamer moving and don’t use it too close to lace fronts on the wig. I had a similar problem with a horn/tusk effect on my Jon Renau Victoria and I have improved it with minimal trimming.

Yes, a steamer is my next tool to play with. I’m glad you didn’t have to trim much. Sad to cut what won’t grow back ;) Thanks for watching

Chiquel Wigs on RUclips has a super helpful video on the topic of “Fixing a synthetic wig.” In it, she goes into a tutorial on the steaming process. I was wearing hair toppers until last fall when I switched to wigs due to the fact that I no longer have enough hair on top to properly clip in the toppers :-0

Your beautiful and your hair is great too 😊! I had that same hairstyle (when I had nice hair,) but I needed straightening cream to use with my flat-iron. I don't know if that would help with synthetic hair, or if it would fry it. There must be someone out there who's tried it and knows.🤷
