Me too 😢. You guys experienced hurricanes and loss. I lived through a handful of devastating tornadoes and loss. None compares to the level of catastrophe that the Survivors of Helene are living. Many lives lost. Everything is just gone💔🙏🏼. Many lost their transportation. There is no road home. Many have no driveway or home to go back to.
I am proud of Steph, Buddy and this entire community for supporting this mission. In this historical tragedy, Steph & Buddy are True altruistic Hero warriors

Roy Cooper would NOT sign the orders for NC help. Florida Desantis and GA sent big Equipment, and Dump trucks etc.
Our military from NC and SC... due to Gov. delay, ask for leave/vaca time etc.. TO HELP. Local pilots and NASCAR helicopters busted butts until OUR gov restricted them from flying. It's horrid.
But you guys and all the communities are finding ways...to do what is needed. #AMAZING

Thank you so much for your kindness. I live 5 minutes from the Asheville airport and life is pretty weird. I was lucky to only have no water, no electricity, and no internet or phone all for about a week; and downed trees in my yard. I had left my mobile home and it only took a couple days before I could get back in. So I am very lucky. It is still like really good and really bad all in the same moment. Many continue to be in a bit of shock. FEMA and Red Cross are here and doing really good work. (And yes, Insurance is always a pain in the you know what!) It will be rebuilt tho it will take a while, but the biggest toll will be the emotional toll. Even if you personally weren't hit hard on your property - you live with the horror and shock of the aftermath all around you and in your daily life. Anyway, thanks again - so much for what you did. And yes, rebuilding will be ongoing for some time... Long after the headlines fade away. I hope people don't forget. Thanks.

Loved seeing your video. I cried as I watched. I live in the Sandhills of NC. Just off interstate 95. I have some young friends who have taken loads of stuff up west of Boone. I am 82 years old and I and my family are helping get together Christmas Gifts for the children in that area. They paid rent on a building this weekend to put the gifts in as they get a trailer full. December 14 they will be distributed. I thank God for people who so willingly give of themselves to help. Another friend and her family took truck loads of stuff two weeks ago. All the churches are collecting things, some have arranged for one church to collect food, another clothes another one collected chain saws, and my church is collecting buckets full of cleaning supplies and heavy gloves, clothes lines and pins. We are so touched when we see how willing the people are to help. We usually get hurricanes and flooding mixed with tornadoes. Good bless you all. Travel safely.

What am amazing things this Morganton first church of God is doing for the communities hit hard by the flood waters.

    • @harolddenton6031
      @harolddenton6031 Месяц назад

The valley located just north of burnsville,nc located off hwy 19w the cane river flood watera basically washed away the houses and the highway heading north up towards bakersville,nc.
Then uo in erwin tn and communities of Bumpus coveband embreeville the nolichucky river crested around 31 feet. The flood waters basically wiped houses down stream in thise areas. The river easily was over a couple hundred yards wide. It was so powerful it washed out bothh bridges of east and wwest bound lanes on interstate 26 and the chestoa bridge where tge Appalachian trail crossed it was totally destroyed. Then 2 more bridges were wiped out in the embreeville area. They had to build a new gravel roadway to get back into the little Germany community located way back in Bumpus cove area. Most of that areas residents lost their houses in the flood waters

I wanted to take a moment to say Thank You. I have followed several of your family’s you tube channels for some time now. I was watching videos on the Morrow Family Prom when I came across your video. Morganton is my hometown. I can’t say Thank You enough for the Love and Support you have shown our community ❤️. This storm has caused more damage than any of us ever could have imagined. It will be years before Western North Carolina and the other effected areas fully recover from this. Again Thank You ❤

When God mobilizes His people; like Janelle in Morganton, to you n Buddy in Plum Grove Texas, along with thousands of volunteers from Florida, GA to SC, NC, TN and all the outlying areas of the mountains to the sea.. I see and know Love in action. As you return to your home and decompress.. please be kind to yourselves as emotions pour out from your hearts. It's ok to cry, it's ok to laugh, to mourn, to sing, to praise n glorify God amidst the destruction. It's a daunting task for the families and volunteers to figure out where to start after the storm but just know that each step leads to another and God will restore your strength and understands all your emotions.
Power restoration, Food for the soul and belly, Water and Shelter are immediate needs for survivors... then comes funerals for those lost.. and on to rebuilding of homes. Thank you to your mom and dad for their help, to the Morrows and what they contributed and all of those who donated from the page. May you both find perfect peace and rest as you recover from your journey. Peace and Love, Miss Cat

Steph…the beauty of the world moving on during this traumatic event is a sign from God telling all of those who were effected that he is still with them! That “their” world will be ok and he LOVES them all! It’s kinda like the old saying of stopping to smell the roses. They NEED the beauty of the leaves changing colors, the sun rays gleaming down on them, the rustling of the leaves on the ground to help keep them grounded. They are strong God fearing, faithful mountain men and women. They thrive on everything created by God so much more than others can comprehend that don’t live in the area!

Y’all are some of the greatest people on earth! Your hearts are so full of love and dedication to others in need! Such a blessing you and Buddy and your entire media families that have reached out and touched somebody’s in their deepest time of need!
I totally get where you’re coming from Steph! When I got a call in 2005 and was told that my only big brother had been shot, I grabbed my mother, kids n grandson and we hauled butt back to our hometown where this took place. We made a 2 hour trip in 45 minutes bc they had sent a helicopter to search for his body. They found him, he had been shot in the head and was at the hospital but brain dead. 💔😪 I stayed with him for the next 6 hours while his body poured blood into all the tubes he was attached to.
I was so angry that everyone around me was just going on with their lives while I was just trying to figure out how to breathe! I was off work for 6 months bc my brain could not think properly. One of my bosses said, he’s dead Michelle so you’re gonna have to just come to terms with it and get n with your life! 🤬 seriously! The nest 2 years I spent traveling back n forth for court hearings and eventually the trial and today his murderer is out living his life while my 6’4”, 250 lb pure muscleman with a heart of gold is never coming home! I cry almost every day bc my hero had been taken from me! I’m still mad!
I just want some to make it make sense bc my heart can’t!!!
Sorry for the long story, didn’t mean to write so much but the tears n words were flowing!
One last thing….I love you all and your gentle, caring kindness you show each day for so many!
Just know…you will always be someone’s HERO!!! 🥰

We lived this same experience with Hurricane Michael in 2018. My home was spared, but my elderly family members 30 miles away were not. 3-4 homes destroyed, no power for up to 6 weeks, the devastation was unimaginable. Small communities that were poor to start with, were completely decimated. We had power and gas in our town, so we took our generators to other family members to run their wells. And then refilled and hauled gas cans every 2-3 days, carried groceries in on those trips for them, and took their laundry home to wash - for weeks and weeks. You just do what has to be done. The blessings are too many to list.

Denmans, as I sit here crying, I wanted tell you what a blessing you are. We were living in SE Georgia and were hit hard by first tropical storm Debby, then immediately by hurricane Helene. We couldn’t stand it any more. We basically only had the clothes on our backs, and our minivan. We got in that car and took ourselves to Colorado. We are in our mid 60’s and feel so incredibly blessed. Yes we are starting over, but that’s material things. So many people lost far more than we did. Lives were lost. We have each other and will be totally fine. I am so blessed to watch you distribute those blessings to those who were so devastated by that storm. May God bless you so abundantly! We are praying for those are starting over and for you. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts. You are appreciated far more than you will ever know. May you have peace, joy and happiness for eternity.

I'm so proud of everyone who has found the strength and ability to be such a great help...from the state of NC I thank y'all from the bottom of my heart ♥️🤗🩷

Steph the world keeps turning and I get what you mean but I am sure they take time and the beauty around them the trees give them an inner peace from Gods beauty, I get the mess, I know it is way more than we suffered even from Rita or Harvey , but I feel looking at the trees would be like a cleansing breath. God Bless yall!

It is a wonderful experience seeing Americans stepping up. We live close to the central west coast of Florida and see every day people stepping up to help the disasters that wiped out small fishing villages with the last three storms. Please know that Red Cross and FEMA can do only so much. The Humanitarian President of The Red Cross is from my hometown of 1,200 people; I know his family and they all are every day working, caring, Christian, community-minded, helping people. My first job was at their family owned hamburger stand! One of my cousin's grandsons belongs to a search and rescue team that was sent by FEMA to not only down here in Florida after Hurricane Helene, but also North Carolina after Helene went there. He helped uncover those who did not survive. Thanks to all who help in America's disasters! Prayers always.

There's so much I want to say on many different levels. What I will say is this, Steph and Buddy you two really are amazing people. The Great Spirit put his warriors before you to clear your path to the mountains (Burnsville 💟 Morganton) so his angels could get there. Thank you to all involved. And the prayer that the gentleman said was so beautiful. A'ho

What you said about life going on is so true. I am feeling that so deeply. Life is going on and we've lost everything and it makes me want to scream. The grief in the midst of this beauty is hard to reconcile emotionally. I'm an avid hiker and love the outdoors and right now it feels like mother nature is not a safe place to be anymore. We are just focused on survival right now.

I wish that I could be there to help, but we were back in the mountains for three months this summer and we had health needs to get home for. Thank you for doing what you are doing for everyone in North Carolina. Love, hugs and blessings from Southern California.💖🙏💖

My heart is broken for all of the states affected. My husband of 46 years just passed. I’m taking a full year off but the love is the mountains in TN and NC that is where I was going to retire. Right now I’ve had to stop and reset. Our nation quickly forgot the devastation of Maui because we are all wrapped up in the triviality of our lives. Never forget the deviation of TN, NC and GA! They are hurting and my heart is heavy.

Those people have lost so much, and yet you see smiles and goodness from all of them, and the gratefulness of the donations etc. They have survived one of the most horrific things that can happen in life. We, on the other side of that must be blessed and feel blessed. I still feel awful that your house hasn't been repaired yet. But when you see what those have gone through. Wow. Just Wow.
