Have you ever heard of people eating charcoal and coal dust it has dangerous chemicals in the charcoal the person can get chemical burns 🔥 do you know if charcoal is safe to eat im curious
I often get VERY LARGE PIECES , Pour the whole bag into a large bin , good size wood block and old Hatchet to Chop the Large bits into Smaller ones !!!
Well presented video for your product, it was a good introduction to this type of cooking. What made me pick your band of lump charcoal over another brand that was $5 less was your transparency on the bag "oak & hickory", i knew what i was buying where as with the other brand they just stated hardwood and that could be a wide range of types. I was raised around a bbq and love the taste oak and hickory impart to the meat, i love cooking with wood and a hot bed of coals on my small pack stove when I'm hiking. Great way to cook, I'm going to warm up the hibachi right now lol
Question, I’m new to lump charcoal and bought the cowboy mixed hardwood. I’ve used it twice now, the first time the burgers came out good. But the second time, WOW the burgers tasted like me and the wife ate burnt wood. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?
I'm no expert but you might want to wait until the smoke turns bluish and/or clear before putting your food on the grill otherwise the smoke will be too harsh if cooking over the thick white smoke.
I only use lump charcoal but it pisses me off that I often find rocks in my grill after everything has burned up.
My cowboy lump charcoal bag says made in Mexico. Good burn though.
Mexico is Americas so it should be a great product, them and Ohh Canada are our cousins
Yeah, I pointed that out again. They will probably delete my comment.
Some bags get their trees from mexico from what i understand

Thanks for the feedback! We try to label all of our products so that you can easily see what you're getting. Keep up the grilling!
So burning oil on paper is going to have less affect on taste then using lighter fluid, or rubbing alcohol on paper...? lol
Did you let the coal turn white? Also lump charcoal will give a different taste than briquettes.
That’s why it’s used for Carne Asada, Pollo Asado
Is lump charcoal good for grilling chicken?
Perfectly explained ! Thanks ..
Glad it was helpful!

Exacly what @johnpnj mentioned. When grilling, with any wood or charcoal, wait for the smoke to be a clear blue smoke for the best flavor. 🤠
Thanks for another entertaining and informative video.
Our pleasure!
great stuff, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you
Cutting a bag is not that crazy at all...
