- Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by historian Tessa Dunlop and family lawyer Paula Rhone-Adrien to debate actress Adjoa Andoh's comments during ITV's coverage of the coronation about the Royal Family looking 'terribly white' on the balcony.
Paula and Tessa concede that although using the word 'terribly' was a poor choice of phrasing, they agree that the Bridgerton star's feelings about an all-white balcony has some validation, given the monarchy's history.
Piers however argues that it is a ridiculous claim and that it just so happens all the senior members of the Royal Family are white - and that "it's not illegal" to be so.

I'm a black woman and I fully agree with Piers. I thought the coronation was a wonderful family affair. Nothing to do with race. Constantly complaining about white spaces is ridiculous. Unfortunately you are the minority but you are on the right track.I've lived in the US for 60 years and until recently have always looked at blacks favorably. Seriously, I think it’s pretty dam obvious, I’m talking about white Brits, in response to this conversation, but the fact you’ve made the comment you have shows me that you are part of the problem.
I also hold exact the same opinion when talking about people who continuously attack people of Muslim heritage, people who continuously label any Muslims as all being racists, homophobic or terrorists, even though the vast majority of Muslims who live in Britain, are as tolerant as anyone else.
Equally, I also hold the opinion against anyone who is white, who has a problem with the diversity within our country, a country which is one of the most diverse countries on the planet, for both colour of skin and religion and the country that when it had all the power and actually ruled the world, used that power to end slavery for everyone BY FORCE.
Yet for some reason, we continually here uneducated and racist people today, people who have a genuine life a privilege, continually playing the victim, blaming other people for everything that’s wrong in their life, rather than actually taking some accountability.
I detest bigotry in all its forms; Racism is not a black person problem, it’s a humanitarian problem and whilst we constantly keep dividing ourselves further, based on the colour of our skin, we are never going to fix the problem.

If you were to measure skin tone, where EXACTLY would the line be drawn as to the boundary between a white person and a black person? There is no universally agreed upon line that can be drawn. For this reason it is incredibly easy to state that there are no white people and no black people.
There are just people.
Separating people by their supposed race has absolutely no utility or purpose. The myth that has been perpetuated by ignorant people has been that a persons supposed 'race' has a correlative relationship with an increase in particular character traits. This is not true at all.
An ignorant person creates racism within themselves, because they unconsciously create a connection within their own mind with characteristics associated with personality and skin colour, and therefore ignorantly believe that the appearance of someone's skin will determine the contents of their character. Anyone who thinks logically about this will realise that the possibility of their being correlation between skin colour and personality is absolutely ZERO. Impossible. It simply doesn't exist.
If you realise and contemplate the points I have raised here, the continuation of legitimate racism will no longer exist.

It was racism, end of. Yes, the RF are white and so what as also others countries maybe all black, chinese etc. You cannot force white people to marry a black person anymore than a black marrying a white. When I travelled to Africa I didn't say to the people 'it's very black here, lack of whites'. It's absurd that some people get delight in causing trouble. People marry those they love, colour etc does not come into it.

The page boys and the honorary attendants were not originally invited to be on the balony. The decision was made minutes before to doors to the balcony opened. Charles and Camilla were still wearing their heavy robes and needed assistance to get on and and off the balcony. Apparently the page boys were VERY excited to be on the balcony after all their flawless hardwork during the day. Well done boys!
Absolutely. I wasn't privy to this information but from watching them I noticed that the boys were there essentially to help them with their garments. Regarding these two ladies, the world is going mad. It's crazy making nonsense . Next they will be saying we have to use gender neutral pronouns to describe them as "he " or "she " is derogatory to people who don't identify as either.
I am part black and have experienced real racism in my life. There was nothing whatsoever racist about who was on the balcony. Truth is, even if the entire coronation didn't have a single black person in it it wouldn't have been "proof" of racism. People are, or should be free to invite whoever they want to invite to their own events. It's a free world. You can't force people to love one another and accusing people of racism who aren't racist, and would never purposely harm someone of color, isn't helping anything. Racism is purposely condemning and controlling people just for the color of their skin and that is exactly what these people are doing. They are trying to control the king, tell him who he can or can't have on his own balcony for his own coronation just because he's white and has a white family. He bent over backward to include people of color in the coronation and still it's not enough for these radical racists. The truth is these guests of yours, Piers, have never experienced real racism or they wouldn't be acting like such racists. It goes both ways and has to be called out when people lose their common decency and act like this. Good job, Piers!
It makes no difference to me what colour people are - but I do mind that they have goodness in them, and don't try to stir-up hate, that seems to be the agenda of some people now - we were getting on Ok before it got brought out - a couple of yrs ago - that the UK and the RF were racist!
