The RF Stop device is sneaky. And fantastic at the same time as you won't need any mechanical device to either deploy., hook on or otherwise trying to thwart a runaway of an escapee. Just put a strong HF signal ON and ... usual ignition electronics - gasoline driven engines - stops working. Maybe also this might compromise functionality of electric cars as well. As these are so full of electronics. (which is a disadvantage from the standpoint of a criminal) Well,.. not really effective for vehicles having a gasoil (diesel) engine - except for if that also puts out fuel injection systems altogether then no injection-fueled engine is going to work anymore.
