Greek island AMORGOS: Best views from ancient windmills

Here we are going to find the entryway to the windmills of Amorgos, which circle the windswept surrounding hills. Some of the well-preserved windmills on the island of Amorgos, still contain the mechanisms used by the millers to process the flour.
We are going to walk around the panoramic and imposing location of the windmills of the island of Amorgos, on ridges that catch every breath of wind. There are said to have been up to eighteen (18) windmills here at the island of Amorgos in the 19th century!
The windmills on Amorgos stand opposite the Kastro fortress, in a panoramic and imposing location, on a ridge that catches every breath of wind. Some of the well-preserved windmills still contain the mechanisms used by the millers to process the flour.
Amorgos (Greek: Αμοργός) is the easternmost island of the Cyclades island group and the nearest island to the neighbouring Dodecanese island group in Greece. Along with several neighbouring islets, the largest of which is Nikouria Island, it comprises the municipality of Amorgos, which has a land area of 126.346 square kilometres (48.782 square miles) and a population of 1,973 (2011 census).
