Of course highly.commendable effort by these intelligent students and by Fr Ermita's words ''An Architect's "delight throws much light and substance on the entire Complex.

I must compliment the Chowgule College Students Team who have filmed this episode! The Rachol Seminary is indeed a repository of a very historic past, and as Fr. Eremita said -"an architect's" delight. The wonderful secrets it holds in its architecture are worth praising. The photography and narration, with a good flow of info, is highly commendable.
It is time we Goans understand and learn to celebrate our rich Goan culture, and the tangible heritage, irrespective of time and faith.
Congratulations to all those who have made this event.👏👏👏

I was fortunate to receive this video yesterday from a friend. I write to express my appreciation to the Team that made this video. It captures in an understated manner the Spirit of the place, a place of worship and study for the priesthood, a place that is almost half a millennia old, redolent of history and traditions. I Thank each and everyone who participated in this project either on or off the screen. You have rendered a great service to Goa.

Also buried here in front of the alter Captain of the fort Dom Diego Rodrigues e Roiz, the lord of Colva , Governer of the island of Salcette ( modern day Mumbai ), Diego built the first church in Salcete Goa , the Matriz church near the church. Diogo Roiz was my 12th grandfather from my fathers side. Diogo discovered the Rodrigues Island near Mauritius which is named after him. For this he was conferred with the Title of Knight ( Roiz) by King Joao II of Portugal . Diogo passed away in 1577 and only after that in 1583 the Cuncolim revolt happened as nobody dared to do this when the nicknamed Captain of Rachol O do forte , meaning Of the strong lived.

The ancient Damodar Temple to the north of the city was replaced by the Largo de Igreja (Holy Spirit) -- a fantastic Indian-Baroque edifice with an interior dripping in gilt, crystal and stucco.
