I'm not a huge fan o MHs catalogue. But Imperium is easily in my top metal songs of all time. The song has everything. I saw them live around this time too, when the intro came on I imploded.

This was the best machine head era. Probably as side from Burn my eyes n more things change. This show would've been beyond epic to attend. One of my favorites to watch for sure

This was a very fun period of time to be a machine Head fan. The band was broken and lost after supercharger then somehow wrote and released through the Ashes. Then followed that up with the blackening.
Súpercharger was a good álbum, everybody wants to made Nu Metal for those times ,for me was a good álbum Súpercharger
The Burning Red and Supercharger were both cool albums. It's nice that Machine Head doesnt renegate them and still play songs of those albums to this day. I just saw the band last saturday here in Rio de Janeiro Brazil and some of the best moments of the concert were when they played songs from those albums (specially Bulldozer, for me). Still, those albums are not exactly my favorite ones.

phil demel is a killer guitarist ... his self created riffs and melodies rule !
on this show he improvised almost all the solos as he couldn't play the originals, I watched this show in 2004 and rewatching it now in 2024 and it's still hilarious.
Phil has improved his playing a lot since these times, but on this show.. man, guitar work is not nearly good
In that Time Bands like 'Machine Head' performed on the Main Stage at Rock am Ring. Today Artists who doesn't have anything to do with Rock perfom on that Stage and the real Rockbands get the smaller Stages.... A Shame... But... Great Show.. I love Machine Head

Absolutely agree, this was my favorite line up. Through The Ashes Of Empires was kind of like a vengeance album to me.
Kontos and Logan were it. 1995, best lineup ever.

i threw up from jägermeister (which i cant even smell without getting sick today),
i broke my thumb on a stupid accident and i met machine head backstage, getting
autographs and pictures with the band.

I remember back in 2004 or 2005 trying to download the full live video from Rock am Ring via KazaA or Emule idk :D Now everythings so easy. I still love their performance of Descend the Shades of Night

Machine Head used to be so awesome. Darn shame they mysteriously ceased to exist after The Blackening.
I'm still pissed Phil Demmel left the band. So much of Machine Head's sound is all him. They are just not the same with Robb being the only real original member. Newest record has glimpses of this band, but barely. They died after Unto the Locust.
It's a personal project.
