- Some years after high school, and college, Tommy and Kimberly re-connected, and eventually got married. Though they are still in love, things aren't perfect, and sometimes they question if they should be together. In the end, they work through their hardships and fears, never giving up on each other.
This video was inspired by a Buffyverse vid I saw when I uploaded my last Tommy/Kim vid. I hadn't heard the song in a while, but just had to make a vid with it. I thought it would be fun to have a video that was set in a present day setting with little to no PR footage.
Some of the nighttime scenes were naturally very dark, and one that I darkened couldn't even be brightened up to be more viewable, because of how the editing tool worked. So I HIGHLY suggest viewing this in full-screen and in HD if possible. Sorry about that! Anyway, ENJOY The Olivers - For The First Time!

You have seriously made my day! I am a huge Tommy/Kim fan and have been since...well since I was little and watched the power rangers! I've been trying to find videos where they get back together forever now! You've seriously made my day lol. This was put together FLAWLESSLY! It looked like they could have actually done more movies together and they were back together. I loved it!
I come back to this every year. You captured something so real, pure and human. It's captivating even though I'm not a huge fan of the actual franchise itself. Makes me wish I had something like it. Thank you.

This video is still so iconic after all these years! I’m so glad we have timelines where Tommy and Kimberly end up together, like the 1995 MMPR Movie which is a different universe from the tv show, and Amy Jo’s new comic to celebrate the 30th anniversary❤️RIP JDF
I appreciate you saying that. I had so many other videos I wanted to do over the years, but just haven't really had as much time to focus on this stuff. This one was such a fun challenge, and I'm glad so many still enjoy this. It was definitely made for the fans. I was just talking about this same thing with a friend, it is nice we have some timelines/universes where they stay together, but one thing is constant, they are destined to find each other in all of them. I even count the Reboot film LOL! I mean, for the 1st Cameo, JDF grew his hair out JUST for that reunion.
@@slickricklj that’s so true, I also like to think that was another version of Tommy/Kim in the 2017 movie. They were wearing the proper colors and were clearly together. That’s like 4 universes/timelines where the faces of Amy Jo and JDF exist together. I love that for them and it’s a comforting sense of closure with JDF’s passing. Would love a new video from you whenever you find the time but this one is pretty perfect in the meantime!

Tommy & Kimberly are the best PR couple after the note scene I stopped watching the power rangers cause I was sad she left and wondered if she ever came back then I've been seeing alot of youtube videos that were together and you my friend just made the best one well done

Thank you! I largely made this for the fans, so I'm glad people still enjoy it. The show, definitely shouldn't have messed them up, but at least NOW we have something, thanks to Amy Jo! I know JDF said he would've wanted them together as well, and he supported her comic as well.

Part 2: Then "these times are hard...give up on me baby" part with him in the hospital at 3:57, and then her remembering the motorcycle accident and having her reaction in there too was perfect! The letter was cute and I like that the guys are catching up at Zack's. I can't even imagine how you did that, it had the shadows and everything, brilliant! There are so many brilliant manips. The scenes around 4:15 are hard to see, but then the "I waited up for you part" was so PERFECT, amazing ending!

Ok so I was watching it AGAIN and I JUST got the way you did "just now got the feeling that we're needed for the first time" where he's shacking the hands and it's like he's getting the job at the school and thinks are finally falling into place and that's why she come to visit him and this is all after the "unemployment line" bit. I missed that the first time but it's brilliant! Adds another level to the video.
that was just perfect you betrayed what there future could have been like so well, the clips used went so well with the music and it felt just like they never broke up :)

So, after trying to figure it out, I think the only word I can use to describe my reaction to this video is the follow. Awwwwww! Seriously, that was sweet, cute, bitter, all at the same time. And unlike a lot of TK videos that use outside footage, what I truly enjoyed about this was that you told a story. You didn't just throw in clips for the sake of throwing in clips. Each one you picked guided the story along to another lyric - you have no idea how rare that is in vidding.
Part 4:
I also loved "unemployment line", "...head held high", "lost my job but didn't lose my pride" where he starts the fight that was excellent! And the "after all these years" parts, they way they matched! And the coloring there, too! Lol at Tommy’s giant block phone at 1:33. Overall such an incredible video! I think you beat the Bangel one! :D 100% pure genius with all the manips and just the story in general! So, so incredible!

@RevolutionChick And that's what I really enjoyed about this, the story you managed to tell was fantastic. I've never been fond of TK adult angst, mostly because the people using it never use it right - it ends up like teenage drama. But for once, this wasn't. Again, that's something so rare. The creativty you had in manipping the clips together was a blast to see. I could tell you took time with each manip. It was a fantastic video, thanks for making it :)

Part 1: Love the phone call at 0:41! ;) Love the first "cheap bottles of wine" bit, that really looks like Tommy! I love the outdoor cafe scene around 1:41, the manip is GENIUS! I think it's probably my favorite! Though I love the car accident one, "shit talking" at 2:11, "meeting for the first time at 2:28, the school conversation at 3:19, and the dark scenes at 3:42. Genius! I tried to find a manip to work with that and I couldn't make it work but you did!

Part 3: Here's so random stuff:
The coloring for your signature and the titles, etc. LOVE IT! It's so pretty and of course perfect! The "times are hard" with the ring was great. And how realistic the whole timeline is with the hard times, etc. They have fights, there are accidents, etc. and then there are good times.

There's actually a rumour going round that David & Amy's cameo in Power Rangers 2017 is actually a married Tommy & Kimberley visiting from another universe to see the new Power Rangers in action.
Well, JDF, and Amy have said they were told they were just civilians, according to the director. Amy said she at least saw them as being married, and both said they were open to the idea of playing the parents of Tommy, if they were to continue with the current reboot saga.

And just to add, people who disliked this vid must have lost their minds because this is my favorite Tommy/Kim video of all time. I watch it every day because that's how much I love it. Aww...you know despite how things went down with the show (and yet they still push Tommy/Kim out in media :P), and now losing JDF...There's no denying the lasting impact Tommy and Kim have really with the whole brand, and how iconic it still is. JDF actually said at a con, about a month before he died, that he didn't do the 30th anniversary because there were no originals (the remaining group as a whole), but he clarified his statement by saying "Without Amy, there is no Tommy." His favorite cast was the original team (something he always maintained), but that really hit me how he said he wouldn't do it without Amy. IDK if he ever got to see vids like this one, but that man said he loved working with Amy, and he always expressed his desire to work with her over the years (before everyone began doing cons even), and he definitely understood how big the relationship was.
I know you enjoyed the video even when it was new, so glad it's still something you can come back too.

Thank you! I tried to make things fit as best as possible. The letter was an edit I made, from an image of a film Amy was in.
@slickricklj Ah, it was such a unique detail that I had to pause it and zoom in. I didn't remember such a thing, only that out of character Dear John Letter by Kimberly. The details and careful editing is AMAZING! I can't believe I just now found this and one of the first YT things I did was watch Green Ranger tribute videos!

+Mormon Hobbit There were some of Tommy from Dinothunder, but most everything comes from movies the actors did individually.
I think if they would have brought Amy jo back dino thunder it probably would've be the highest rated power rangers season or episode ever
