I love the show. The asthetics really picked up on season two. Looking forward for season 5 soon!!!! I would love to see more documentaries about this set design.
The sets, intricate details of them, and the authentic, believable look was actually the reason why I was hooked from S1E1 already and still freaking love how much work they put into these details.

There are moments when I am _almost_ jealous that Adam gets to see all these amazing places. But then I am glad than Adam goes there and not me. Because he is such an amazing interviewer and narrator that it is a lot more fun to watch him visiting those places and talking to the people there.
The books are worth a read too :) (The first one is called 'Leviathan Wakes' and the author is James S. A. Corey [who is actually two people writing together])

Insane how it go from "oh we're on the set of the expanse" to "oh we're travelling from Ceres to Ganymede in a belter ship" that's how good the set design is
I so want to do a theme like that to my home office. That would be amazing to be able to create in such a wonderful space. And I love that Adam went through the "use other door" door. =)

One of my old school friends worked in Aliens and I went to the crew showing. In the scene where Ripley chases Newt under the floor they meet in Newts 'nest' and my friend tells me to look for the back of a crt TV panel sprayed silver with buttons added on the wall. Certainly brought me down to earth.
Bwah! those close ups (3:43) Just a couple of PC cooling towers and a motor oil pan clued on a board... a Pneumatic cilinder... and some piping you could get in any hardware store. looks so easy...

The first was a Fluke 1900A Multi-Counter mounted upside-down. I haven't seen any since my uni days back in the 1980s and they were probably ten or twenty years old back then.
if i ever get a house of my own i want too build a set room where i have my computers in that looks like that even a electronics lab of some sort off to the side for me to play in .
Another great video (I'm at 1:39 now). Longtime fan here (about 5 years). I'm intrigued by the lack of masks or any mention of COVID-19 at the beginning of this video. I'm trying to decide whether it's a deliberate attempt to provoke controversy and increase attention to the channel, or just very clever, or both :)
For those of us unfamiliar with the series, what year does it take place?? I see technology looks exactly like in 2015, apparently, digital control panels haven't been invented, like touchpads, everything is still analog, switches, levers, buttons, etc.????

After this, i need to watch it again. The books are a bit expensive though at $10 each on Kindle.
