This is such an awesome song! I am 14 and I got inspired to write songs since I went to the GUTS tour. Do you have any tips for writing lyrics and finding a melody with nice chords?
thank u so much! usually when i write songs, i start with a couple chords i like (you can google chord progressions or pick your own), and then i hum around to find melodies i like, then try to write lyrics based on stuff going on in my life! i was planning on making a video on songwriting too so u can watch it next week

Really nice song! One thing I feel obligated to point out--at the risk of sounding pedantic--is that "chasm" is pronounced "kaz-um" with a hard "k" sound, not the "ch" sound like in chance or change.
