…WELCOME to The Town of Atherton! Sorry if I’m a tad late, I was never known for my punctuality. Yes, we have no sidewalks nor a downtown, not even a store in sight. As a lifelong resident (Maternal GranMama has lived here since 1931) we are not fond of tourists for privacy is what we value. And the Pupusa truck is for the construction and staff and it’s delicious. Your video shows how life is like, sorry for most of the townsfolk are not too welcoming for they just like to be left alone. I have lived on Selby since 1996 and know a handful of my neighbors, need I say more. Lastly, yes you do like you belong specially with those shorts and Heather grey sweatshirt and leave that “pond” alone for it always has a stank to it. Thank You, that was fun.
Atherton is a residential area, known as a *_town_* and not a "city," as in the 'Town of Atherton.' It has few, possibly no, retail businesses within its borders. Menlo Park to the south and Redwood City to the north are the areas of commerce.
HOLD ON! That region @2:33 is NOT Atherton, but an open park area miles away from Atherton proper, bordering the San Francisco Bay. @4:53 when commenting on the cost of ice cream, should have stopped at Foster's Freeze on Oak Grove Avenue, Menlo Park, for a soft-serve cone at $2. People in the region are in professions that pays well, but, they are not the type to flash wealth when it comes to vehicles as seen in areas like Monte Carlo. Consider that when it comes to affording to live in pricey estates around Atherton, spending money on vehicles is secondary.
Atherton used to be the most friendly place you could find. I worked in it for over forty years. But around 2000 the spoiled brat type tecies started building and buying property in it and everything changed. They came in with a barrel of money and they all taught they were so special. They don't mix or socialize with their neighbors. They build their homes with all undocumented labor. A real American tradesman won't be welcome on these sites. It's a sad place in comparison to what it was in the eighties and nineties.
@@Traintin…I hope you make it to the Islands of the Philippines. My father is from there and my Mum is from Atherton. Check out Ayala Alabang Village if you make it there. We have a home there since 1981. Good luck
You said 'dirt path'? You silly goose! They don't want poor people to step in there with their two-thousand-dollar shoes. Are you sure you're not one of those billionaires missing the obvious that poor people would notice right away and walk away with their carefare in their pocket, which they can barely afford?😂
Like to make Austin jump in the lake 3:41
7:08 Stop embarrassing in front of my audience 😂
🤪🤪
