Not sure if this has been noted: TLDR all the posts. Coeur D'alene is pronounced "Core Da LANE" not "Core Da LEAN". Lived around the area since I was a kid and never heard anyone use the LEAN pronunciation. I love your treadmill walks, but you got me wondering if I had been saying it wrong all these years. Checked and I believe is LANE.
You are almost certainly right. I should have checked but we were on the road. Thanks for the clarification and thanks for sharing your town with us for our brief visit. Such a beautiful place. -H
Thank you. Finishing my doc program with my internship in 2002, I went to Coeur D'alene to the park by the lake. The weather was perfect, sunny, clear and cool, people relaxing. I remember walking through a grove of tall trees right beside the lake. The sun was glimmering on the lake, and it was so peaceful. I turned to a colleague and said "This is what heaven is like." I think I caught a glimpse of the trees 48:32 or 16:09. I loved Moscow, Idaho, also
Your channel is a part of my life's routine. Every time you drop a video, I would watch it from start to end. It's always a great pleasure to travel with you. Thanks! : )
Always wanted to go to CDL because they said it was pretty. It’s so clean there and well manicured. Everything so green to. Thanks for showing us around. I’m British and in UK but did live MT for a few years. :)
Oh wow. Yeah we have that season too but I try to remember how much it’s benefiting my friends and neighbors. Of course we don’t have the numbers you do. Hang in there. -H
Just 50 minutes north of CDA is a beautiful resort town called "Sandpoint." it is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful towns in Idaho. You should totally check it out. It's prettiest in Fall, between late September and early October.
At 8:25 Yap Mudgy Moose is the main character in a children's book Mudgy and Millie, the setting of which is in the park itself where the two were playing hide and seek. The story was created by a local author by the name Susan Nipp.
That house for sale is 622 E Coeur D'Alene Ave., the P.W.Johnson house - "The Grand Dame of Coeur D'Alene", built in 1912, 5 bedrooms, 6000 square feet. Are you sitting down? Asking price is $2,200,000.
i took this walk today. It is a very commercial looking area. I liked the red flowers, geraniums? It just was not my cup of tea. I did see a blue girls moped I liked. Do they call them mopeds? It was down where the larger motorcycles were parked. I did not sense a personality from the city, Thank ;;you for taking us there.
Sherman Ave. The heavy haulers over height nightmare route. The overpasses on I-90 are too low for some eastbound loads, so you have to get off NW Boulevard and go up by where all the sawmills USED to be, (hundreds of good paying jobs lost)
Last video I watched you mentioned surprise at analytics showing being viewed mainly on TVs. A few weeks ago I downloaded pedometer app so had to switch to watching on tv as I don’t have a watch to use. Even though every morning I have to move the heavy treadmill and swivel the tv I actually do like watching them better that way to have the larger screen.
I very much appreciated your brief foray into some of the neighborhoods as I am very interested in moving there. The video took a dark turn with the mention of a white nationalist sticker (never seen one) , but where I live you see BLM (black nationalist) paraphernalia everywhere which is just the other side of a racist coin. Thank you for a pleasant and informative video.
Imagine being an adult White man in 2023 and getting triggered by a White nationalist sticker. Completely ignoring how unusually clean the town is. How relaxed and polite everyone is. How people are talking to each other everywhere. How safe it feels. "Man if only this town had some more brown people" the narrator thought to himself. It's one thing to be conditioned a fool. It's another to choose willful ignorance and stay a fool out of fear.
I’d rather be someone who calls out racism and racists than someone whose silence on other people’s suffering can be bought with a few clean streets and a nice chat.
You're either jewish or ignorant "I'd rather be anti-racism than live in high trust societies" "I'd rather be anti-racism than women feel safe to walk the streets at night" It's hard to believe you're really this weak and ignorant so I'm going with jewish, the people who want destruction of Western lands.
FWIW, most of our "white supremacists" are really "FBI Informants". Have been since the 80s starting with a guy named Metzger. Don't join Nazi/militia/white nationalists groups in N. Idaho unless you like being a target of the Feds.

Awesome. Thanks so much for sharing that wonderful memory! -H
The musician/band around 24:00 feels so nostalgic somehow! It's like going back in time and walking through the streets.
It's definitely got a nice community feel and small town charm. Thanks for watching -H
I like these videos because it's unique and you can somewhat relate.
Every time that you upload a new video,we really enjoying it!
Thanks so much. -H
Another city I couldn't afford to live in lol. Pretty downtown. Thanks again. Keep it up.

Beautiful walk. One like from me. Have a great day my friend.
You too and thanks so much. -H
In late Oct we drove around the lake. It had snowed a few inches. We also ate at the Hotel CDL water front restaurant. Great food & crazy desserts.
Oh wow! Must have been really beautiful. Thanks for sharing. -H

My best friend lives in Cocolalla north of there past the Silverwood Park. Very pretty up there. You missed the heat wave!
Yeah, it was very mild and pleasant. I love all the ponderosa pines in the area. -H
It looks beautiful.

I like Idaho videos, I don't get to see the state that often.
It’s a pretty geographically diverse place. Lots to see. -H
Great walking tour! Thanks for sharing!
You bet. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍 -H
beautiful location friends, the area feels very fresh, very beautiful and clean..👍
It really was, especially since the smoke moved out. -Hope
Thanks for the tour of my hometown. LOL. Locals don't go near downtown - especially in summer when the touristas have it packed.
Oh wow. Yeah we have that season too but I try to remember how much it’s benefiting my friends and neighbors. Of course we don’t have the numbers you do. Hang in there. -H
TY Henry 😊
👍👍👍
Very beautiful and clean town, it's french name "Cœur d'alene"
Thanks. Glad you liked it. -H
Been there from I90 in Mass. always looks better thru your lens.
That's a long drive! Glad you enjoyed this. This was the first time I"d been into town. -H
Excellent tour! I learned two new words; incongruous and bucolic.
Excellent! Yeah I can go a bit heavy sometimes. -H

I've heard of it and I'll have to try to check it out. Thanks! -H
There is a boardwalk on lake core duh lane, it surrounds the resort
I walked on it. Thanks. -H
The mountain on the lake where people were jumping off rocks is tubbs hill, open to the public

Never been to Idaho, nice city.
Cool State. Thanks. -H

Hahah. I'm so happy that you looked that up! Thanks. And, I can believe that. Must be a pretty nice place. I'm going to go look at the listing now. -H
I’m HOMESICK!!!!! 😆
Hi Carrie, very cool place to grow up. -H
Yes you keep saying Coeur d’ LEAN. Nobody ever ever calls it that. And it was really getting on my nerves lol but thank you for making the video.
Hi Kris, Is it supposed to Coeur d LANE? sorry about that. -H
City of Dreams to me.
Awesome-H

It’s definitely a tourist focused city.

The hotel is the core duh lane resort, owned by Hagadon

@@THE_MrSteve wow! Good for you for doing the walking and taking care of yourself. I know it can be hard to motivate. Keep on Steppin’ -H
Pretty much a story of how a single building can ruin an entire city
.
Lake core duh lane is not a resevior
Fair enough. -H

How is the gay scene?
Not familiar with it.
Pronounced CORE -DUH-LANE, not core-duh-lean
Cool. Thanks. -H
Used to be a great place to live before the hostile takeover in 1980s and now it is ruined and that lake is full of death, do your research.
Thanks -H
