I now live in Australia. After I had been through the Hillsboro disaster I truly lost my way with football . My wife bought me tickets and persuaded me to go to the game . As a liveroool born kopite since 1965 I lived and died Liverpool through and through . Thank you AUSTRALIA .you gave me back the club I’ve loved and followed unconditionally.

There were over 95,000 fans at that game and Steve Gerrard, was so touched he turned to fellow scouser, Jamie Carrager and said ‘this is the loudest we ever has this!’ He said it gave him goosebumps! I hope one day, you get the opportunity to visit Anfield when the Kop roars…there’s no stadium on Earth that can emulate Anfield on a European night! Watch us on LFC fans in Madrid singing Virgil’s song! And that’s 5 hours before the game, Virgil Van Dyke’s family told him and he didn’t believe them so he put on a disguise and went to see for himself… Thank you YNWA ❤

i went to my first liverpool game in 1979 as a teenager in the KOP and we sang this song week in week out, we didn't finish with "alone ", we would chant WALK ON WALK ON WALK ON after the song had finished.

Diehard Aussie LFC fan. I was there, and it was truly moving. About Halfway thru I stopped singing coz I was overcome with emotion. I just took it all in… when I got back to Sydney a couple of days later I actually struggled to recount it to ppl I knew without tearing up. I am a sport lover, I have teams across a bunch of sports I root for all over the world. But LFC is different. Our love for this club could end wars 🥹

Back in the 70s Liverpool were untouchable with players like Kevin Keegan, Phil Neal, Steve Highway, Kenny Dalglish and Ray Clements. They were unbeatable for many years.
I grew up in Wembley and my brother was a massive Liverpool supporter from the 1970's. He attended all their matches, flew if he had to. I didnt like football but watched to see if I could see him in the crowd, did a couple of times. The singing of Youll never walk alone, always gave me goosebumps and if they played at Wembley we would rush out and listen in our garden which was 2 miles away. Before and after matches we would always run to the railway tracks and wave and the thousands of supporters (of all teams, but Liverpool stood out because the red which filled the trains) and they would wave to us kids...pretty special.

The Captain in this clip is Steven Gerrard, a Liverpoodlian lad who came through the academy to one day lead his team and his country. Many times he could have taken big money to join other teams(millions of pounds), but was a very rare 1 club man.
Lead his country terribly you mean, very rarely played well for England and a big reason why we lost to Uruguay, when he fell over, just like he did for Liverpool, who he never won a Premier league title with. Big money transfer, Liverpool are a massive club, didn't need to leave, only for more trophies.

Diehard Aussie LFC fan. I was there, and it was truly moving. About Halfway thru I stopped singing coz I was overcome with emotion. I just took it all in… when I got back to Sydney a couple of days later I actually struggled to recount it to ppl I knew without tearing up. I am a sport lover, I have teams across a bunch of sports I root for all over the world. But LFC is different. Our love for this club could end wars 🥹

Back in the 70s Liverpool were untouchable with players like Kevin Keegan, Phil Neal, Steve Highway, Kenny Dalglish and Ray Clements. They were unbeatable for many years.
I grew up in Wembley and my brother was a massive Liverpool supporter from the 1970's. He attended all their matches, flew if he had to. I didnt like football but watched to see if I could see him in the crowd, did a couple of times. The singing of Youll never walk alone, always gave me goosebumps and if they played at Wembley we would rush out and listen in our garden which was 2 miles away. Before and after matches we would always run to the railway tracks and wave and the thousands of supporters (of all teams, but Liverpool stood out because the red

YNWA is actually a song from an old musical (Carousel I think) made famous in the 60's by Liverpool group Gerry And The Pacemakers.
As the fans sing you'll never walk alone especially at Anfield.. it's make me a goosebump.. I hope one day I would be there at Anfield to sing along with the fans neither win or not

This song was by Gerry and the Pacemakers a 60s band from Liverpool, and has been sang by the fans for decades.
Check out the Hillsborough disaster that cost 97 fans life's in the FA cup final, that really sticks extra emotion into the song.
The Captain in this clip is Steven Gerrard, a Liverpoodlian lad who came through the academy to one day lead his team and his country.
Many times he could have taken big money to join other teams(millions of pounds), but was a very rare 1 club man.

Lead his country terribly you mean, very rarely played well for England and a big reason why we lost to Uruguay, when he fell over, just like he did for Liverpool, who he never won a Premier league title with. Big money transfer, Liverpool are a massive club, didn't need to leave, only for more trophies.
