"Shocking security footage captured the moment two porch pirates raced each other to a Pennsylvania man’s front door and duked it out over a package just seconds after a FedEx driver had dropped it off.
Kevin Lara, of Reading, posted a video on Facebook Tuesday showing the dueling thieves on his porch clamoring to nab some “very expensive” AT&T cell phones.
In the clip, the FedEx driver can be seen walking up the driveway and gently placing the packing in front of Lara’s front door and snapping a photograph of the completed delivery."

Have the FEDEX driver or Amazon EVER thought to ring the Damn bell and give people a chance to come to the door? I am SICK of them dropping the packages and taking pictures to cover their ass and not even bother to ring the door bell. HIT the doorbell and THEN take the picture.

Here in nyc. The postal service solved that problem. We have postal boxes. When we have a large package, they put it in the postal box then they drop the key in our mailbox to open the postal box.

Homeowners need a lockbox on their porch, then coordinate with FedEx to have a master key.
True and I agree.. but Fed Ex, UPS and Amazon will argue that the time it takes to open and lock a box, it will slow down the drivers, who are already timed per delivery. I've seen the drivers in my area in and out in less than a minute. A great idea though.

This is ridiculous!! I really am hoping it's a skit. Either way real or skit.....this is STUPID
The picture verification is a scam. They take the picture of the package being delivered, and then they just pick it up and walk away with it. Some, knowing that they are being videoed, will speak to the mic, saying how they realized they were at the wrong address, pick up (steal) the package they just delivered, and walk away.
This happened to me. The delivery woman made sure that her voice was audible, sounding flabbergasted that she was at the wrong place, while just previously taking a snap shot of the package. People are such garbage sometimes.
Photo delivery verification is not for the customer's protection it's for the delivery companies. The driver watched these dudes run up and grab the packages but I guarantee they would refuse to replace them because they had the photo proving it had been delivered 2 seconds earlier.

The way packages are delivered in the us is crazy!
I worked for a terrible courier company here in the UK and it had to be left in a 'safe place'. Even if the customer specifies a safe place, you can't deliver it if it's obviously not. As soon as you press the doorbell, you're scouting for safe places if it doesn't need a signature. In the 3-4 years I worked there, only once parcel ever went missing.
Companies in the us must be paying an absolute fortune for stolen items, but it's america so I imagine no company pays for stolen packages if there's 'proof' it was delivered.
But it's weird that nobody has thought to leave parcels where they can't be seen or are not likely to be, i.e. the front porch. Maybe they're waiting to sell people the cure in the form of expensive locked boxes or something.

Amazon has lockers, or you can send it to a local store like a Rite Aid. UPS and FedEx will hold the package at one of their stores for you to pick it up. Not as convenient but safer, especially if you've ordered a high value item.
Sad and ridiculous. I've had packages stollen from my front door before and I have a doorbell camera. I actually have a few packages coming tomorrow, and it's being delivered directly to the UPS store. I am literally going to the store to pick up my packages 📦. A dag on shame.

There’s a “new” FedEx scam. These people steal peoples credit cards, order packages and then send it to a random house. They track the package and try to meet the FedEx person at the home. There are YT videos about this. I didn’t know until I saw it.

Remember how the street sign mail boxes are set up? Or VHS returns, back when that was a thing? Everyone needs a deal like that… delivery guy puts in in the front opening. They close the door, and the package is now inside, accessible only from inside the house.

Fed E EX delivered a personal Computer and just left it in front of friends door and left, The package stayed outside the front door for at least 2 days before I decided to bring it inside because I thought it might be some bomb etc.. When I finally brought it into the home and opened it, i discovered that it was the computer my friend had ordered. So he decided not to pay for it since they left no proof that it was delivered.. That was more than 7 months ago.. So He got a FREE computer because of FED EX incompetence..
