I love him, he is a blast to play. Interesting tips: - You can still dodge while riding the moogle, if you press left or right while attacking. Just tap square constantly and left/right, he will dodge. - Since you can cast spells while moving, you can use this effectively casting one of the last spells you get that has a longer casting time and still move to get out of danger - If he gets attacked and dismounted, he will go "ohh noooooooooooooooooooOOOOOooo". If you get attacked again and dismounted/interrupted, you must express your disconfort with "oh come on!!!", and if you are blessed by lady luck, you and the cat will just say it at the same time, granting you one of the best gaming experiences in combat :D
I had a brief play around with him after he joined my party, then just put him in the “too-hard” basket. Looks like there’s a LOT you can do with him, but he’s likely the most complicated character so far, and I don’t know if I’ve got the patience to get good. 😅 He is so adorable though. 😻
IMPORTANT for everyone. When you're ON the moogle, DONT use your left stick, aka don't move. If you move, the moogle won't attack, if you don't, the moogle will move by itself and attack, so you have cait and moogle attacks going at the same time if you spam square
Too much shit you have to remember to play this damn character it's so annoying. Feel like I'm multitasking 12 different things JUST to control Sith, not evening counting trying to manage my other party members actions and ATP usage. No thanks, I'm parking this dude on the bench for the rest of the game
You'll want to increase luck with him and as such, also give him the steal materia as it's determined by the luck stat. You can build moogle as a tank, dismount to let him draw aggro, and use soothing breeze enemy skill for massive heals. Then remount if it's still alive to build ATB. This makes him a decent healer if you manage your team's positioning well.
I'm glad they made him actually fun to use in this game. The only issue I can say I have with him is the slot machine ability. The buffs you can get from it seem incredibly good but... it seems hard and time consuming to pull off mid-combat.
Honestly, the character that I just did not click with gameplay wise but probably the most versatile and useful if you know how to use him. I feel like mage cait sith with the moogle drawing agro is clutch

Actually enemy aggro largely works the same way it does in Remake, where enemies tend to target the character that you're controlling. Once you build enough atb to use Luck Draw, switch to someone else, draw aggro, and then have Cait Sith use it. You can also do this with Moogle Magic.
Well its not really that. It's that the other character if 'used correctly' are broken not just 'do damage'..... notably Tiffa/Yuffie also they are fast on top of broken so many more people like that . other char have counter which can be quite useful if mastered cloud/red 13 (and red 13 can build stagger pretty good and auto heal) . I don't really like barret(never play him not even in remake) but he is the best tank/support and even i think he is better than cait sith. Caith sith is like 'Ok' , definitly FUN , RANDOM , he has buff and good damage .but is he better than the other character ? I think he is by far in the last tier in my opinion but that is not the point. they are so many character already and so many already do so much damage or stagger or magic(double/one SHOT with final equip to bypass the 9999 damage you can do 30k-50K easely with good setup), i understand caih sith is more like a FUN char and it make sence , i like him that way.Not weak just the other are overpowered. it will not cross my mind to play hard mode with cait sith but at least it will be FUN
I know he does damage, for me, he is just not fun to play. He is too slow imo. And controling the moggle feels awkward. I'm use to hitting O to dodge, not jumping off the moogle.
Cait Sith is super good and super fun from when you get him to right before end game once you learn him. In end game and post game I think he gets outshined by other characters. Slots is just not fun to use either, if you dont get all 3 slots matching it's a waste of 2 atb..... Maybe if you master it you can get it down consistently but I dont like it
i pair him with Aerith, their synergy can use unlimited MP, then put synergy comet into either one of them. Caith Sixth also can call summon with his ATB skills which is cool. Total chaos in my screen 😂 with comet + summon
Cloud Tifa Cait Sith is a powerhouse team. Tifa is the stagger God and CAIT Sith literally cartoon plushie smacks the fucking moogle stuffing outta enemies so try that drop kick punch or whatever. Also dude all three members are just fucking dead (now I know if two members are dead-this includes Sith that the moogle remains on the battle field acting without his puppet) the % based skills with those Elite buffs I know a lot of his support is luck based but you just need a bit of patience Have Tifa & Cloud/ or Yuffie keeping the enemy immobilized. Faith/Bravery Crit rate% (BROOOOO-like Bravery + Haste * %+ crit rate and if an enemy has an elm weakness then have Yuffie grant the user {TIFA} with an element ***SIDE NOTE*** So many people don’t use or don’t wanna learn how to use Cait Sith. The CBR gaming blog site gave him the 7th/8 spot for overall combat abilities calling his play style “awkward” when I’d call it a “lucky gambit” And “Gamble exchange for gifts” He’s a generally a slower character so the first strike ATB Boost and haste doesn’t hurt either since it takes a while to get things going with the moogle. I personally used him every chance I got if not using Cloud Tifa Yuffie Cloud Aerith Tifa Cait Sith is arguably the most difficult Character that is able to be played at least once out of all 9 is the most difficult to use properly People spam His musical note basic attack and summon the moogle to auto attack and that’s it. Or you see the cat get his ass kicked over and over…where is the moogle!? Btw why doesn’t his moogle have like an official name. You’d think with the Celtic mythological lore revolving around a Neko and his EVIL fairy lol as in the old tale this creature wasn’t on the side of light which tbh is more accurately depicted in his OG iteration but I get the need to make some unlikable characters Yuffie/Cait Sith or characters with bad interpretations Barrett OG (100% racially stereotypical) Aerith OG (unrealistic in why she acts this way but was fixed). We not gonna talk about Cid 7 MAIN PARTY MEMBERS & 2 ADD ONS SO MANY COOMBOS AND WE STILL GOT TWO MORE ONE (Cid) I HAVE A DECENT IDEA ON HOW THEY COULD HANDLE HIS COMBAT (a brute powerhouse dragoon who can jump up and land a lethal blow from the sky, maybe some sick lance combos. Large leaps in the air lots) with Vincent who uses different guns (a forsee some Sort of hybrid emphasizing his vampire identity and how closely that’s associated with his 4 OG limit break forms with both skills he can use for each…mix that with fast (not as fast as the ARM GUN) gun moves long range and he can even get in close depending on gun with some flashy red cape expansions then it could like slam down on the enemy then he could like hide for a second…dunno Castlevania X Dracula {all the Devs need to keep both those franchises in mind when doing his combat for FF7 Remake Project Part 3 as the said the entire story (and yes the ending of the multiverse FF7 never melting ice berg that has been going strong for damn near three decades) so since we gotta wait till late 2027 possibly early 2028 but doubt it The orchestra score obviously isn’t done and they need to take there time with this one. Combat prob isn’t done. I know Square has a new vision for this game as a whole.
I wonder what the actual applications of this are in his moveset. I was wondering about all the big luck increase stat boosts in his folio tree and weapon upgrades.
i didnt really play with this character. To be honest: Huge mistake, not because I like to play him, but because you need to play him later. I am now in level 11 and I think I have to replay the whole level again just because one hit kills the cat the whole time and I have no clue to go further in story like that. So a littel warning to everyone: Play and fight with every character, otherwise you are screwed like I am now. Its a shame because I love the story and than you have really hard things like ways you don`t reach easy or fights you have to do with characters you never thought to use....

Thank you Sir, but nevertheless, Cait Sith Gameplay is horrible. For me, so only personal opinion here, the combat is underwhelming and even if his set is completly busted and op, it is not fun at all. Compated to Cloud / Tifa, where you got fast attacks, counters, huge impact sounds and animations, Cait Sith feels just lame. I benched him and still managed to easily clear hardmode, Arena Battles and Gilgamesh (who was pretty easy compared to the Double Summon battles before Gilga) Video is great, thank you for sharing.
The big thing about Cait Sith is that in order to have him as an effective team member you need to give him materia that allows him to automatically use skills and abilities you weren't controlling him. Otherwise he'll never get on his moogle or use any of his luck-based attacks
Same bro like I'm sure he's really useful if you take the time to learn all his quirks but it's just so much work when I can more effectively use every single other character. Tried using Cait Sith for 3 fights after he first joined the squad, absolutely hated how he felt to play, literally never gonna use this dude again unless I have to due to story
@@gdawgs101 Before you hit Nibelheim and go up the mountain PLEASE learn how to use Cait Sith. He has an entire section dedicated to him in the main story and that section will be frustrating for you if you don't learn how to play him. I went through that, just warning you before hand.

Let’s ride charges ATB upon hit, try and use it to hit multiple enemies, it’ll charge your gauge full.

Yeah and it actually makes him teleport, which gives him more i-frames than everyone else's regular dodge.

Embarrassed to ask this as I’m sure I missed it when I first got Cait, How do you even pull the Moogle out?
Must have one ATB charge to use the ability “Let’s ride!” to pull moogle out and to get off moogle to fight separately you can press triangle!

You can't increase your materia slots in a weapon. That was only in part 1 of the demake.
It does increase depending on the weapon and weapon level.
