Disneyland’s Steam Engines #1 C.K. Holiday and #2 E.P. Ripley were the original Trains when Disneyland Opened in 1955!🚂

The C.K. Holiday was known as the Western Train and only stoped at Frontierland Station while the E.P. Ripley was known as the Main Street Train and only stoped at Main Street Station!🚂
Fun Fact #3:
Each train pulled different cars based on their respective eras and themes. The E.P. Ripley (Main Street Train) pulled standard passenger coaches and Walt’s private Lilly Belle parlor coach while the C.K. Holiday (Western Train) pulled cattle cars, gondolas that guests would stand in along with a red caboose!🚂
Fun Fact #4:
Both trains traveled clockwise around the Magic Kingdom but since the trains only stopped at their own respected stations they would travel on a second rail line via switch and bypass the other train and station. Of course that’s no longer the case today but they kept the second line in front of Main Street Station where they have a Handcar on display!🚂

The only thing that bugs me with this set is how the Disney Railroad stickers don't match up perfectly. It looks like the letters read "DISNEY RA ILROAD"
Never thought the day would come where I'd prefer a Disney branded lego set over a star destroyer, but hey- I got 2 days offf school for Dorian and I fell asleep outside cause the weather was so nice.
Just picked up one of these sets I have to say LEGO did an amazing job with this set! One of my favorite trains they have ever made! Not a fan of the Bluetooth thing though would have preferred normal power functions. But clearly LEGO did their research when designing the train and the station.
An 8 stud wide train ?! Awesome. Just for that I'm already considering getting it, and I care nothing about Disney.
Really love the look of the trainstation. Wish they sold it seperately. Great station and a nice looking train (with an 8 stud width)… but yeah, expensive. Local price is 330 euro's.

This is now my second favorite Lego Train, Taking the spot of the Horizon Express and second only to the Emerald Night. 😁🚂🚅
Brilliant,balanced,review as always.Regarding the locomotive,it,probably,wouldn’t be too difficult to put a ‘false’ floor in the cab for the engineer to stand on.
We've been getting some nice trains from LEGO recently but I've yet to see a nice unbranded, everyday locomotive. Really hope this does well though and they'll make a classic train under $100 :D
Wow, it looks incredibly impressive going through more track than what it came with. It would appear that's all it takes.
I have a feeling that Goofy will be in a series 3 CMF.

Thanks for the thorough review Jang! Despite its shortcomings, I think it’s really great set, and a great addition to the LEGO Disney Castle (71040). I’d love to see them side by side, do you still have it set up?

Would love to see you adjust the train cab to be larger and to see you mod the train station to have more of a roof in that middle section.

It probably would've added to the cost of the set anyway.

Now that I’m living on my own and have to really budget my spending I unfortunately can’t afford every new Lego set I think looks awesome. Waiting for Disneyland version of the Haunted Mansion Lego set. If it ever is released, it would be an instant purchase. Magic Kingdom version will not be accepted, must be Disneyland version.

I love how you structured your review with overview followed by more comprehensive analysis. It’s a lot of money, would this be a good one to start my kids with? Wondering how it looks next to the Hogwarts Express (bought primarily for me to display) and if they are totally incompatible in a basic layout. I’d love to have a working model Lego steam train for my boys.
Really wish the goofy hat was an accessory. They really need to normalize accessory holes in hair and molded heads more I think. Just makes everything more customizable. I appreciate that this set is super accurate but it's also not very iconic to me as someone on the East Coast, especially not as iconic as Cinderella's castle. The build looks fairly simplistic and I'm sad it isn't reference dense like the castle was.
I believe Goofy's hat had to be molded onto his head is because they could only make one new mold for this set so making a new mold for his hat and his head would have not been possible.
I wish it was separate too, the suburban dad version of Goofy does not have the hat and it would be very useful to have that mold without it.
You got electric track on the layout, use a electric train motor. More powerful than battery operated and controlled manually and not by Bluetooth. 👌

Very nice video! I couldn't care less for the train, but I really love the train station. It's a pity that you can't have the one without the other, they should have made two separate sets.
Nice train, but too much sticker for a set at that price :( . I would build my own version instead.

It's quite a lovely train, the price however... is not! But I guess Disney fans are the ones who will mostly appreciate this set, because it is quite appealing and lovely, as I said. And the functionality leaves somewhat to be desired, you need an app to make it work and you can't turn off you device without turning off the train! I guess a modification would be in order, use another type of motor with a remote control to make the train run without interruption, it's far from perfect, but it looks very good, train station and Disney minifigs as well, but there are other trains sets that are much less expensive, one must think that the Disney theme may have jacked up the price here, maybe... Very cool review, Jang!

I'm actually okay with the price as a $200 cargo train only has like 1200 pieces do for $100 more you get twice as much, but the no roof or remote is really weird.
But stickers, a novel of stickers.... if they are going to use so many stickers LEGO needs to start giving you an extra copy.

I was expecting this set to be under 200 dollars but seeing that's its under 330 dollars I think if I want this set I'll either have to save up my money or wait til Christmas or my birthday since its a month after Christmas. And I'd think I'd rather wait til Christmas since its one of the 3 times of the year I enjoy getting legos. The other 2 is for my birthday or just a gift
Very cool train set! I built a similar set not long ago, the Mega Construx ProBuilder Train Heist Set, which is based on the Jupiter locomotive you mentioned. I think it will make a very interesting comparison if you could review that one.
It would be cool if Goofy's hat was a separate piece, because Goofy would then have a bump on his head like in the cartoons.
Would it be worth it to redesign the Winter Village holiday train? Having the pivots in the base and the improved tinder (coal car) on this Disney train really shows you the “flaws” in that set. The price point on this is decent when you really break down what you’re getting but my wife still looks at me with a crazy look when I pitch it to her. LOL

really wish the train was sold separately from train station, those extra pieces just catapult past what I'm willing to spend. Don't get me wrong the station is nice, but I'd wish that was a separate box.

This is the 1st Goofy? Leave it to Lego/Disney to put it in an expensive set.... I see a Goof Troop set... and how about Rescue Rangers, that would actually be really cool to see some of the vehicles in Lego form. Darkwing Duck? They have so many cartoons from there 80's/90's heyday to make stuff from.
Are you gonna review the Central Perk set? It's way cheaper than this and much more enjoyable in my opinion.
