Good comparison, Abby. I wish they made a hybrid with latest Gen5 sensors at least and with steel crown for ECG to match the Venue 3s tracking capabilities. Hybrids simply look more classy than full digital watch faces.
Thank you for the details. I heard it was discontinued in some places, i wonder if there's a reason for that. And how is health measuring in it compared to its non-hybrid Garmins around the same price like the lily 2 active? Does it have Body Battery/body energy level measuring? Thank you!
Hey, Garmin and other companies commonly discontinue smartwatches after they've been out for a few years. The Lily 2 Active is also considered a Hybrid watch it doesn't look like a traditional smartwatch, but more like a traditional one. The health monitoring would differ depending on the watch as the Trend and Sport have different heart rate sensors and track different activities but I'd say they all do a good job at activity tracking, that is Garmin's specialty in my opinion. I've also done full reviews on the Vivomove Trend and Vivomove Sport feel free to watch them to get an idea of their features. My comparisons mostly just go over the main differences between the two.
I have the Vivomove Sport and just love it. I like having a smartwatch that looks like a wristwatch. I would consider the Trend if it were a better price and an OLED screen.
@robertad464 hello, no I actually find them both comfortable and there is just a few grams difference (less than 10g or 0.02lbs) in the weight between them. It's not a huge difference for me both are lightweight in my opinion. And i dislike really large, bulkly and heavy watches as well.
I would like to give my mother a smartwatch for Christmas. She mainly wants to track her steps. I like the look of both of them. Which one of the two would you recommend?
Thanks for watching! Subscribe ❤. And which watch would you choose? 😊
THIS is the video I’ve been looking for for months! And to make it even better it’s through the eyes of a fellow Canadian woman. Thank you!

Thank you! And yes, that would be a great new addition, hopefully Garmin does that in the future.

Oh nice, and i totally get that! Thanks for sharing :)
Isn't the trend less comfortable to wear because of the thickness and heaviness? I hate bulky smart watches.

Hello, both can track steps well. I'd go with the one you think she'd like the look of more.
