I hope you never stop putting out these educational (in a good way) videos. And don't worry, I'll never divulge your true identity, Carl. Mark. Bob? Hey, is that you Bob. Okay John. I know it's one of you. Anyway, thank you for helping us get clued in. You rock. Wait... Rocky, is that you?
The Zika virus thing is a bit concerning. That is a major problem if true. It destroys my argument FOR allowing GM on stuff other than food. GM in our food supply has an evil side in that they made our food more resistant to a defoliant so they could use the defoliant to kill weeds in their crops. It is not only makes the food itself modified, but it allows them to introduce more defoliant into our food system.
I’d like to see those guys come up with an insect that combats the EAB (Emerald Ash Borers). If THAT happened, then it’s going to have POSITIVE impact on much of North America! THAT IS A GOOD THING! 🤗
why do that when you can poison people? Seriously though, pesticides are easy and (I think) cheaper than Oregano, Peppermint & Cayenne Pepper. Do you think that these things will enhance the growth of crops? Serious question 🙂
It's too much like work... the other things there growing help as pest control or supplement the other things growing in the same area. The Inca & Mayan did 3 together for many reasons. I don't remember the exact ones but corn and string beans and another was part of the trio the string beans would climb the stalk. The thing is us humans will never be just content with something we are always trying to perfect things
@jamesMwebber the NWO Freemason Globalist overlords wanna keep GMO everything & do all the ungodly practices before just doing things naturally how YAHUAH intended from the beginning.
@@Saxon. Herbs & Essential oils are natural parasite killers & keeps them away from things you're trying to grow like tomatoes, cabbages, carrots, etc.
Good morning, Steve! I see you still love your coffee! Very interesting information! Thank you! I hope you have a great day and I`ll see you in your next video!
There are about half a dozen natural predators for the diamond back moth. Can promote those predators on the farms instead of blanket spraying. GMO can have unexpected consequences like needing kevlar tractor tires now.
I'm in Australia, and I eat microwave French Fries that come from Germany. 😂 GOOD, SAFE, HIGH QUALITY GERMAN PRODUCTS? 🤔 The thing that annoys me the most is, why can't we manufacture them? 🤔 It would save on shipping costs (overall) 👍
I guarantee you would make a million bucks if you can figure out how to do the same thing to the Organ Sulphur butterfly. Which is a very annoying hybrid butterfly for most farmers. It's actually a accidental hybrid of a cabbage butterfly and a Sulphur butterfly. Still very pretty but damages a lot of alfalfa crops here in Oregon.
You realize that 80% of all absorbed micro plastics come from tires not plastic waste right? Your reusable and paper bags are in fact worse for the environment than pastic.
@ do you realize that you just made up 80%? 😂 tires do not make up for that much of the micro plastics - do you manufacture plastic shopping bags, is that why you’re pushing this tire propaganda? 😆
I bet there's some kind of nutritional deficiency, stopping that plant from making complex enough proteins so the digestive system of that larvae. Couldn't digest it.
Less food traffic worldwide could be very positive in general, eat local, farm local. Clean the water, stop spending fuel and energy to ship, and Instead pay local farmers, do we really need to resort to tariffs to balance the scales?
I believe that many pests can be controlled if they did away with monocropping. Planting hundreds or thousands of acres of only one plant encourages massive attacks by insects. In the technique of interplanting with two, three or more different kinds of plants, pests are limited in spread and kind. . Intercropping is often not used, due to the need for harvesting machines that often cannot accommodate other plants in the rows. There are more issues, too, such as water needs of different plants. Often, certain pests will feed on the pests of other plants, too. The use of predatory insects has shown to be effective. But I believe that relying less on technology and more on proven methods of control might help. Some countries use geese and ducks by the thousands to comb the fields to feast on the caterpillars/worms in crops. There are videos showing how this is done, in some other countries.
I don't know why I hate it but also understand... Ecological changes and sadly force extinct creatures, that might of or maybe where design to tackle it. So now to force a population decrease to keep our population somewhat healthy? Crazy to wrap your head around
I don't find the problem in the insects as much as i do in the people. Maybe we have it all wrong. Maybe we are the problem and we need to find a better way of farming are crops to keep the insects from getting to them. A way to control what can come in to are farming area's. This may come at a bigger cost but if something was made to where you only had to do it once say for every 5 to 10 years. And then after that a small cost to just repair certain areas of damage may be the way to go. Just throwing out another idea. And I don't think it would come up to cost millions of dollars to figure out something like that. I was always told it was better to work with nature than against it but then again I've been told a lot of things.
take into consideration how many times humans destroyed live cycles of places by introducing new species. now genetic modified insects. how else do you learn if not from your own mistakes?
About your wish to stay annomynous: Your videos are mostly non-political popular science and therefore should not be controversial. However, in our age everything is controversial and the independence of science undermined systematically. Therefore, I understand. 😭
Its funny how we pick and choose which species of animals we let survive and which one need to be eradicated. It doesn't surprise me to be honest, we do the same to ourselves so why would nature be off limits
More research for better understanding 👍

I'm in Puerto Rico, and we have a few pumpkin plants and cantaloupe, and we are having problems with that moth🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤔

Alaska could have new growth amongst the thousands of square miles of dead trees
Such an underrated tree. I wish the Beatles didn’t destroy them so bad, same with Dutch elm
Best to allow nature to sort these things out. Humans trying to doesn't normally go well.
Usually disastrous.
How about they grow their crops with Oregano, Peppermint, & Cayenne Pepper?

4000 babies with tiny heads is " not really" for you, but HELL NO for most of us
And if 10,000 babies were saved from malaria as.a result?
moral of the story grow locally stop shipping stuff around the world
People often can't afford local grown food
starve out the places where the land can't sustain it's current population? - genius idea, mass starvation, how didn't anyone else think about it.

Silk worm man doesnt have the same ring as a super hero..I mean at least "the tick " was funny
Plot point for Jurassic World Dominion!😂😂

Origin story to a marvel superhero, bit by a sterile radioactive moth
"Why Did Brazil Fill Its Farms With Thousands Of Genetically Modified Moths?"
16:02 where’s my popcorn; this definitely can’t go wrong
4000 people died, do we need to worry? .... nah, it'll be fine.
life always finds away. and that will just be a problem for are grandkids
What happens to birds and stuff that eat the modified insects?????????????
If Jeff Goldblum had gotten a Green Bottle Fly in his transporter he would have been beautifully terrifying at the end of The Fly
Better to keep bees around.
As there is several types of bees and wasp that do pollination like the domesticate bees cannot.
Clearly, after the cabbage apocalypse, they started using Brussels sprouts as currency. Makes sense-it's the next logical step.
baby's with unusually small heads sounds like a band name. lol
you did urn the like 🙂
We're doomed. Thanks to "The Science"...
So they gave the Moths a dose of the "moth clap"?
Kinda sounds like what we’re doing to ourselves with plastics 🤔
We mate with plastics 😮 !?!
it literally doesn't???

Gave the insects herpes, 😲😳
Surely that won't backfire in any way for humans
Mimic comes to mind…let’s genetically modify something see what happens 😂
I wonder how many "friendly" humans have been made

"Why Millions of Moths Started Being Born Dead in Brazil"
The best thing to do is invest to it's natural predators.
I've heard they have done this to human beings also with viruses
Great theory but it's a bit of a worry, will it actually work? After Covid scientists are no longer respected (with very good reasons).
