Love all the new and old content. I also really appreciate how family friendly all you guys videos are. Its so refreshing to be able to watch the videos with the kids and not worry about curse words every ten seconds. Y’all are awesome.
If look back early in the video, the rod tip was scraping on the underside of the bridge as you were going under it. That may have contributed to the breakage. Thanks for the vids. Lots of fun!
Meh... It was under less pressure with that little bend than it is when you catch a fish. Its literally designed to bend that way. Might damage the eyelet and make you break off more, but wouldn't cause the rod to break. Need more pressure concentrated in a small area like stepping on it or jamming the end on something head on to weaken the rod.
Your true enthusiasm still blows me away after all the time I've been watching your videos. Thank you, and keep it up!!! The head mount works well for you as well.
I really like the kayak fishing. I've been kayak fishing for about 5 years and just ordered my first peddle drive a month or so ago. I would love to see you Ron and Matthew go inland to a nice lake and fish.
Cool video... I always like a good kayak video because that's about all I do. That first trout you caught (at the 3:26 mark) looked like it had a tag in it. Did you notice that?
Fun video! Speck were stacked for sure! We've all left stuff behind only to lose it. Glad you have the relationship with Toadfish and already have new equipment on the way. Cheers!
I'm up here in the great state of Indiana getting buried in snow for the next 2 days I have been watching your videos for about a year now and really love your content I also watch everybody that you fish with in the clickbaiters your interaction with everybody is awesome have learned so much about saltwater fishing from you that I feel like I could come there and be able to catch fish without having to fight with knowing what to do the knowledge I have gained from you in the beach bum is amazing AKA your son LOL
I left an abu garcia pole and reel with new stabiki rig on sanibel somebody hopefully found it and is putting to use so don't feel bad it happens to the best of us I'm sure whoever found really appreciates it
Great video Brant...your hat cam view worked well & the kayak trip was great...awesome day of trout fishing...glad you found a way to fish in the high winds...
Nice video! I saw you there at the ramp this morning! Been waiting for the video to drop haha. Also, the EXACT same break just happened to my toadfish rod two days ago. Strange. They sent me out a replacement to say the least. I’ve been driving over that bridge for years wondering what’s in there. I may just have to hop in now that I’ve seen your success.
If you hear dueling banjos RUN!!!!! Brant have a good day!!! Another thing the first time you and Ron took.your kayak's we Ron told us all that their was a measurement on the back of the paddle. So all of us have none that for months, and your just now finding that out...
I cast a head mount go pro into the new jersey surf during a snow storm once. Be careful how you move and what you wear it over your head. I had a slick nylon hat on. It was blowing snow and I had waders on so I didn't jump in after it.
I absolutely love the click baiters. I live in Houston Texas and have been fishing the gulf cost my entire life. You guys make fishing look even more fun than it already is. When I come to Florida this spring I'm definitely going to look up bearded brad for a surf fishing charter. Keep the great content flowing.
So pumped I found this video. I just got back from fishing tonight for only like the third time down at Blue Angel Park. No I haven't caught anything yet 😁 I live half a mile from where you're fishing. I say I'm pumped because I have no idea what I'm doing or where or when to look for fish lol so it's nice to see someone fishing in my area and telling why and what they're doing.
I like the head cam... I use one as well. I feel that sometimes with the chesty the camera gets blocked by the hook set or fighting the fish and sometimes miss some good stuff.
Definitely would like to see more Kayak stuff. Also would like to hear the pros and cons of your kayak after using it for a while. I'm considering investing in a good fishing kayak! Thanks Brant!
Love your videos been following you for a while now (love the chucks btw) I like all the tips and tricks you tells us about when fishing. I've been fishing for 9yrs now and still love it some tips you give help a lot. Thanks
That was an awesome session! Brant getting it done on the Kayak!💪 There’s nothing better than sitting on top of the water and catching fish! Canal fishing looks amazing! I hope to be able to do this some day.
Fun video Brandt I really like the Hat cam because it's everywhere you are looking. I find it to be better than looking at the back of people's wrist while they're fighting a fish and talkin about what it looks like. My challenge with mine is I get out of frame and don't realize it and then I Miss good fish footage keep the awesome videos coming
I've been wanting to buy a Toadish rod and reel setup, but this is the second video I've seen the rod break on you. Makes me second guess a little bit. Great content as always, love watching and living vicariously when I cant make it to the water
Just wondering how cold it was when the rod broke. I was fishing 2 weeks ago with the temp around 35°F and had 2 rods snap about in the same place. Just wondering how the temp is affecting them. Thanks for the great video, next time you and Ron need to magnet fish from the kayaks.
Was watching your video then paused halfway through to go fishing & caught 10 spotted trout on the red jig head w a white fluke. First time ever catching saltwater fish on lure i usually fish ponds. I had another rod with live shrimp on it but got no bites. The biggest was 16”
The head mount is a great addition. Chest mounted gave me motion sickness when spinning the reel, so this makes me much happier to no see your hands take up most of the screen. Keep it up Brant
I love the video Brant! Sorry the fish and bucket were lost taken but hopefully someone had a meal. Keep fishing and videoing, I am enjoying watching from NC!
Sorry bout your bait bucket. That was a good bite though. I like watching the kayak vids. It's just so quiet. We'll have a great night and see you on the next vid
Looks like the wind blew you in the right direction another great video my friend thank you . and thumbs up to the hat cam I think it may be better for the kayak ? Man you have really picked up some subs when I first started watching you you had 170K looks like you’re doing it right talk to you soon buddy
From a full time Kayak guy, always have at least 3 rods with you, if not 4. You would be surprised how often you need them all. Great content as per the usual.
Yo u bent the rod wen u went under the bridge u can c how it was scrapping n bending. So u might’ve cracked it, then wen the trout got hooked it broke off. Great video bro 🤙🏻
Great vid Brant, this is the 2nd or 3rd rod I have seen that has broken on you. I wonder if the area you stored them at had something to do with it maybe a high moisture area to close to the floor or just more than normal wear and tear with all the fishing you do, keep up the great entertainment and keep them lines tight!
You hit the trout honey hole! Lots of fun. Sorry about your rod, but some on the way. Doing fine on kayak, just keep practicing. Hope who found your fish and equipment needed more then you did. Always enjoy your videos.
Those carbon fiber rods are very sensitive to side impacts. It set up a stress line and they will pop at any moment. So while they can be more delicate it is worth it for the sensitivity and linear strength you get with them.
All it takes is a little nick or deep scratch and those carbon graphite rods become super breakable. I started using rod socks when I put them in my Tahoe. I cringe every time I smack the rod on something. Nice trout bite. I hope we dont get an ice storm up here this weekend so I can get into some keepers
Its actually more common to break expensive rods than cheap rods. To get the light weight and high proformance your getting the rod has to be made a specific way that makes them more fragile with high use. A cheap walmart or academy rod however is no where as complex as a toadfish so less proformance = longer lasting rod.
awsome footage cant seem to figure out where your at can i get a hint lol, im from pcola but now live in TN doing a lot of trout fishing in the rivers lots of fun.
A couple of years ago I was wade fishing, when I got back to my car I leaned my rod up against a fence while I took off my waders. I put my waders in the trunk and drove away without my rod and reel! I didn’t even realize till I went to go fishing again, 3 days later. I never got it back but I am a lot more concise of my actions now!
I'll fish any body of water that I suspect a fish might live in, but my favorite is fishing 2 to 6 lb in a body of water where you can nearly touch the other bank with your rod. Tight confines and light gear is great fun and it's surprising how often you can find big fish in bugger all water.
I grew up in Florida till I was 12 then moved to tn so watching your videos makes me feel like I’m fishing the good salt water days again. It’s cold as hell here so can’t fish much, why do your toad fish rods break so easy
Nice video. Bonus redfish was nice.. I hate when another fisherman paddles right over the spot you are catching fish at. A whole river and he went right where u were casting. You did good not yelling at him to move.
Love all the new and old content. I also really appreciate how family friendly all you guys videos are. Its so refreshing to be able to watch the videos with the kids and not worry about curse words every ten seconds. Y’all are awesome.
👍
Totally agree
They probably have to censor Eugene quite a bit tho
If look back early in the video, the rod tip was scraping on the underside of the bridge as you were going under it. That may have contributed to the breakage. Thanks for the vids. Lots of fun!
I think you nailed it
@@nedyarb2000 saw that too and was thinking man if it doesnt snap, its sure gonna weaken it!
Meh... It was under less pressure with that little bend than it is when you catch a fish. Its literally designed to bend that way. Might damage the eyelet and make you break off more, but wouldn't cause the rod to break. I left an abu garcia pole and reel with new stabiki rig on sanibel somebody hopefully found it and is putting to use so don't feel bad it happens to the best of us I'm sure whoever found really appreciates it
Awesome glad your doing kayaks plus love that you mix it up keep Videos coming
You and the CB gang really need to come up north and try fishing on the hard water! Ice fishing! 40" Pike, 15lb steelhead, massive Walleyes!
Love the videos out of the kayak. And always love finding new spots. Awesome Specks.
👍
I like the head mounted cam for the kayak fishing
Loving the hat cam! Great visibility!
👍
Great video Brant...your hat cam view worked well & the kayak trip was great...awesome day of trout fishing...glad you found a way to fish in the high winds...
I love the view from the Hat cam!
Hat cam worked well, maybe better than the chest cam. Fun video; yak fishing looks fun- particularly in calm water. Nice job 👍
Great one Brant, definitely would like to see more kayak fishing.
Great audible, Brant! I love to fish in creeks and really enjoyed the video.
👍
Really enjoy these kayak videos... along with the rest. Keep em coming
Another great video. The hat go pro gave us a perfect view of the fishing. 👍
Hey I’m from pace and I’m trying to find some fishing spots, where are these saltwater creeks, the fishing has been slow from a dock in the bay
Kayak videos are working for you. Nice fish. Great video!
Awesome video Brant! Keep up the good work!
👍

Looks like millview-heron bayou. Great little spot.
Love finding new spots

Love that you went ahead and included losing your bucket. Also your reaction, oh well hope they needed it! Great stuff!!!
I like the head cam... I use one as well. I feel that sometimes with the chesty the camera gets blocked by the hook set or fighting the fish and sometimes miss some good stuff.
Great video brank sheephead in kayak sounds good
Loving the content n the regular uploads
I had a toadfish rod break in literally the exact same area haha
Definitely would like to see more Kayak stuff. Also would like to hear the pros and cons of your kayak after using it for a while. I'm considering investing in a good fishing kayak! Thanks Brant!
Like the hat cam except for the fast head moves..almost fell out of the yak!🤣
That was nice of you to provide a nice fish dinner for a hungry person!
Love your videos been following you for a while now (love the chucks btw) I like all the tips and tricks you tells us about when fishing. I've been fishing for 9yrs now and still love it some tips you give help a lot. Thanks
I’ve been wanting to try that place for a while. Glad to see fish in there!
That was an awesome session! Brant getting it done on the Kayak!💪
There’s nothing better than sitting on top of the water and catching fish! Canal fishing looks amazing! I hope to be able to do this some day.
Love your go pro on your hat! Great view.
I prefer the hat cam as I have suggested before. I enjoy looking through your eyes.
Lol good back peddle on the broken toad rod 😆
Thanks man, love the yak videos for sure..but also the hunting - dude you got the coolest job.
Fun video Brandt I really like the Hat cam because it's everywhere you are looking. The higher camera angle is a better perspective. I like it.
I've been wanting to buy a Toadish rod and reel setup, but this is the second video I've seen the rod break on you. Makes me second guess a little bit. Great content as always, love watching and living vicariously when I cant make it to the water
Keep making it happen! Awesome, simple video
Just wondering how cold it was when the rod broke. I was fishing 2 weeks ago with the temp around 35°F and had 2 rods snap about in the same place. Just wondering how the temp is affecting them. Thanks for the great video, next time you and Ron need to magnet fish from the kayaks.
It was 50.
Love the content so much! Also good to know I'm not the only one who forgets stuff! Keep having fun!
Great video Brant! Those were beautiful specs!👍
Was watching your video then paused halfway through to go fishing & caught 10 spotted trout on the red jig head w a white fluke. First time ever catching saltwater fish on lure i usually fish ponds. I had another rod with live shrimp on it but got no bites. The biggest was 16”

Great fishing video with some really nice trout sorry to hear about your bait bucket and your fish
Appreciate it
The head mount GoPro view is much better than the chest view. It shows where you are looking!!!
Sorry bout your bait bucket. That was a good bite though. I like watching the kayak vids. It's just so quiet. We'll have a great night and see you on the next vid
Same thing in about the same place happened to my Toadfish. I've had it several years, but no warning, just snapped the tip off.
Looks like the wind blew you in the right direction another great video my friend thank you . and thumbs up to the hat cam I think it may be better for the kayak ? Man you have really picked up some subs when I first started watching you you had 170K looks like you’re doing it right talk to you soon buddy
Great to see you on a kayak. Re subscribed.
Hat cam was on point.
Great video always entertaining and fun. Can tell you really enjoy just catching fish makes me wish I was there
From a full time Kayak guy, always have at least 3 rods with you, if not 4. You would be surprised how often you need them all. Great content as per the usual.
Toadfish broke? Since I started following you I have bought about 5 of them. Glad they are taking care of you.
Yo u bent the rod wen u went under the bridge u can c how it was scrapping n bending. So u might’ve cracked it, then wen the trout got hooked it broke off. Great video bro 🤙🏻

U r one of the best that is y I watch since u were a guide
If you ever scratch or dent graphite, just one fiber, it will break, pretty much the first time you load it up… it sucks too! Keep ‘em coming Brant!
Ron needs to borrow that head mount for the camera to video his sling shot fishing....
More kayak fishing please

Head mount working well like looking through your eyes
Very good my friend really good stuff very nice trout brant
Thanks Brant!
You and Ron should do a video on trolling for trout.
I grew up in Florida till I was 12 then moved to tn so watching your videos makes me feel like I’m fishing the good salt water days again. It’s cold as hell here so can’t fish much, why do your toad fish rods break so easy
I’m not sure. I’ve had some bad luck with them
Well you can't let CMR & Bearded Brad be the only ones to break your rods. 😄
Just remember a pickerel is a walleye LMFao not what a comment someone said! I about fell out of my chair laughing!
Hey Brant what kind of fishing reels do you use for saltwater fishing
i caught my first red fish yesterday! put up one heck of a fight!
Wow Awesome have fun
Head cam looks fine, no hairy knuckles 😂😆😂😆
Dog track and hwy 98… my neck of the woods. making me miss home
That bucket of fish was probably the answer to somebody's prayer !!!👐👐👐 ( I have also blessed someone with my mistakes !😂😂😂)
Nice video. Bonus redfish was nice.. I hate when another fisherman paddles right over the spot you are catching fish at. A whole river and he went right where u were casting. You did good not yelling at him to move.
To be fair he was right near the launch. As you see the kid didn't stick around long. He was probably just passing by.
I seen it scrape on the bridge also.
The head mount seems to work good for you, but I would be paranoid it wasn't filming.
I fished Black River in SC many many times.
Another great vid man...sorry bout your rod, bucket and your trout. You soooo had a Murphy's Law day for sure lol
I like the headmount.
Nice trout. Keep the head mount go pro.
