- Tusen Tankar/ A Thousand Thoughts is one of the most beautiful and sad love songs ever heard. We learnt it from an archive recording of Thyra Karlsson (1912-2001), a great singer of traditional Swedish folk songs. Thyras greatest wish was to make a record so that her music could reach a new and wider audience. This never happened. Share this video and help us spread the song. I first heard this song on your debut CD, which I bought many years ago when I was a student living in Canada. I am currently in Poland, and stumbled upon this video trying to look up some Triakel and Garmarna, since my old CDs are back at my mother's place a continent away. Such lovely music, brings back so many memories! I only wish I spoke Swedish, so that I could fully appreciate it all.
American-Swede here and I show Swedish music to my friends. A lot of them love it! International Swedish!! My ancestors have given me the best music possible 😊 SVENSK OCH STOLT!!!!!

I keep saying that the saddest love-song I know is in A-Major of all keys. Heard this live and open air in Bonn in 1996 or 1997 and couldn't get the melody out of my head. Tried it on the harp and it worked like a charm. I still love the song - and Your version, which is the original to me, of course - and I am happy that I didn't remain the only one covering it.
Det är märkligt hur svensk folkmusik verkar vara mer uppskattat av människor i andra länder än av människor i Sverige. När man lyssnar på folkmusik från andra länder är majoriteten av kommentarerna på det språket som talas i det landet musikern kommer ifrån, men kommentarsfältet på svenska folksånger är det mest bara engelska kommentarer

Since my Angel Bride and I found her and Triakel the music has been one of my favorites. Though Brenda is gone I still treasure the music as if she is here. This is gorgeous in every way.

God I love them. My angel bride never heard this one but she loved them too. This felt like a good song in tribute of my angel bride. So sad but beautiful. Emma is a treasure just like Brianna Lea Pruett, my favorite singer songwriter who passed just over two years ago 9 months after my angel bride Brenda. Miss them both.
