Weirdly; I've just sat and listened to your video whilst drawing and found the sound of you napping oddly comforting. Reminds me of when I lived in my caravan and would hear the rain on the metal roof. Thanks for sharing your art dude.
LOVE everything about your videos Will!. So fun for this newbie to catch up on some of your videos from a few years ago. Thank you for all you do... such an education for those of us interested in the past, not just in prehistoric skills, but also in general spiritual stuff. Living in the here and now!
What I appreciate from this video Will, is that sometimes it even goes a bit pear shaped for an expert like yourself! Certainly fills me with a bit more hope and confidence considering all my bloody stone keeps breaking in ways I don’t want it to!😂
I've been doing research on survivalism and tool-making for a tabletop character I'm playing who has those things as hobbies, and your videos have been a great source on the tools and methods used for these kind of things! Thanks Will!
irs a useful skill... the hard part imo is consistency... i could prob make one but each one would be very different requiring different aim technique to fire accurately. thabks for the practice video anyway. i think its trickier than it looks to do it consistently the same.
gracias por ser tan didáctico a la hora de enseñar como se hacían las cosas hace tanto tiempo. vendría bien subtitular en español. saludos desde Córdoba Argentina
It ain't always rainbows and sunshine. Awesome skills bud and your attitude to the work you do is admirable. A wee mishap at the finish like that could end in a few sweary words for most folk. If you're ever passing Fort William pop in for a cuppa. 👍🔥
Was great to see you on here again, Will! I’ve been taking a break from social media and the “news” of late. Congrats on manifesting happiness into your life and striving to make every moment the best it can be! Cheers from Michigan, USA!
Glad to see a new video, I'm getting ready to find my old hammer stones, and some new material to create some blades and spears. You're daggers inspired me to make my own.
I hope the flint you are sending me that I have waited 2 weeks for ain't the knackered stuff on the floor ! 😂 glad you are back from your courses you were running Edit : thanks for the beautiful black shiny flint ! It Arrived this morning !
They have a lot more information on OtZi the Iceman now. There are newer Videos on RUclips. They know where he had come from and where he was going in Italy and where he probably lived in Italy, including where he probably made his Axe. I am one of 19 people (maybe more now) that carry his unique DNA, so I keep up with him as closely as possible. I will be going to visit him probably in March. I have only know that I have his DNA for about five years now, yet I have been interested in making primitive weapons since I was a boy. It makes you wonder. I'm 76 yrs old at the moment, so I've been interested in primitive things for some time now. I like you work!
im glad to see your doing well and i still love every video you post. i was having withdraws i started re watching your past videos just to hear the stories and the knapping of the flint. it truly is music to the ears that lol
So good to see your back,I've been watching your channel for a while now, I find your work fascinating, such a joy to watch and very relaxing. All the best regards josh
What’s really nice is to see the mistakes and problems, was getting a tad disappointed with my efforts and mishaps Not so disappointed and a little wiser 👍
Yes please visit Otzi the Iceman! Fantastic story and a fascinating man! He used pyrite and flint for fire making, mabye try that out! I have actually succeeded, a very primitive technology!
Your second stone is consistent with the flint I get down here in Devon Will lol . Nice work as usual mate. It is a very interesting place in the Italian dollamites , loads of open mountain to wander in , we been there and seen otzi in the tyrol museum also. Hope you get to doing it soon.
Hi Will, would it be ok if i used some of you video footage on my next video on RUclips? (Andy outdoors) it would give you some more exposure to your website, channel and other media
Hi Will , watching you making the arrow head was fascinating mate, and when a bit broke off I was thinking that's no differant to diy disasters today, and I've had a few over the years, I'm sure there'd be a few chosen words round the camp fire when that happened, question would flint arrow heads be mainly a one use item , or recoverable after the hunt?. I hope you get to see Otzi, and where he was found, and your own ideas on what you see or feel will be interesting. Thanks for the video, stay safe mate, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart.uk.
Question: Why would they make a stone arrow head if they have copper to make the arrow head out of? 🤔 I really like these videos, thank you for sharing ☺
You ever come to Ireland??? Lots of Dolmans over here , I live on North coast near giants causeway, think there's neolithic forts down south Ireland ???
@@WillLordPrehistoricSurvival I live about 10 miles away from there , nice place to go for a walk , I fish off the coast round there , can you show on your videos please, what the people did with the flint daggers, I'm guessing that they were used for stabbing as the flint shards would slice better than the dagger , did the old people have scalpel like knives , I'm guessing so as you could attach a sharp bit of flint onto a stick easily enough, ,,great videos to watch, keep up the good work duder, ps I live about 14 miles from the dark hedges ( from game of thrones, I've not watched it yet lol ) but all you'll see there is tourist busses and Chinese people tanking pictures llf 😂, it's just a road to a farm between trees , there's far better things to see than that , but each to their own I guess
I'm not sure why you turn off comments on your videos about gunflints. But I'm going to say it here. I was searching out how to flintknap gunflints and saw that you make them and sell them. I've been watching you for years on RUclips so I thought I'd buy some. I got some real small ones for a traditions flintlock. Work of art they are, absolutely perfect. I got a dozen. I hope to get more soon. I'd like to have a nice stock of them. I don't know if it is completely true that you made them but I got a letter of authenticity that you did. I figured it would be like Dale chahuly blown glass and all of his students make them all. I hope keep on making these.
Hi will my brother has found lots of standing stones in Perthshire that have been lost covered over or dumped at the side of fields by farmers your welcome to stay with us if you make it up Dundee way
@Will Lord; did humans get dumber AFTER the stone-age , with civilization because the technology can do things for people instead of having to do it directly for themselves?

You need to do more live shows, I loved the last one. I learned a lot, and we all were able to ask questions and chat with other like minded people.

Nice to see you back.
Great videos bud
I have a lot of jasper in my area, how good is that for knapping.
The worst thing is when you accidentally pinch your hand in between the hammer stone and flint.
Hi Will, would it be ok if i used some of you video footage on my next video on RUclips? (Andy outdoors) it would give you some more exposure to your website, channel and other media

Yes!! Your back!
You're not knapping if you don't break one.
