My mother met her at a Vogue photo shot and said she was very sweet. My mother was a model for a short time and left to work sales at some makeup company. I always wanted to meet Kelly, what teenage boy in the 80s wouldn’t
That is Robert Rustler alongside Robert Downey Jr. Rustler DID play Grady in Nightmare Part 2. Fun Fact: When they finished filming Weird Science, Robert Downey Jr. drove Robert Rustler to his audition for Nightmare 2. Pretty cool.
"I called her every night for like a month!" "On the telephone?" "What's this man talkin bout 'on the telephone'?! We know there's a telephone!" "Explain it to him..." Blind Dog bourbon drunk Anthony Michael Hall is so funny! I use "Gimme the keys! I'll drive!" whenever possible.
"So, what would you little maniacs like to do first?" Fun Fact: John Hughes wrote the script in only two days. That's Hot Fact: In the shower scene, Kelly LeBrock was wearing a bikini bottom, with her nipples covered with black tape. Casting Notes Fact: Vernon Wells said his first time visiting America was when he filmed his part in this movie. After filming wrapped, he signed on as another villain in Commando (1985). Pork Sandwich Fact: According to Bill Paxton, Chet's line "How about a nice greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray?" was based on something his father John Paxton used to say to him when Bill was hungover from a night of drinking. Computer Enthusiast Fact: Wyatt's (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) computer is a Memotech MTX512, with an FDX add-on. The computer was modified to add a large "ENTER" key with blinking red lights for the dramatic close-up key-pressing shot. Kelly LeBrock's character name was inspired by Apple Computer's first GUI computer, the Apple Lisa.
I love magical technology movies from the 80s and early 90s, back when no one really knew what "computers" could or couldnt do XD... scanning a picture of Einstein and its like "analyzing intellect" 😅
I was thinking that's one reason I don't want them to remake this (or the TV show). I like having the older technology for just this reason! The computer and science were just "magic" for screenwriters!
Yes. I second this motion. I'm telling y'all. EOM really should have Nostalgia Monday or 20th Century Wednesdays, something like that for one of the two worst days of the workweek. And I vote for "Space Camp" and Spielberg's "Duel"
The old TV series..........'Strangers With Candy'which aired over 3 short but hilarious seasons on Comedy Central....starred Amy Sedarie, Stephen Colbert & others. Later they turned it into a movie, but you'll want to check out the original series.
26:11 Fun fact. The head mutant biker is played by Vernon Wells, who was sort of reprising his role as the mad biker Wez from ‘Mad Max: The Road Warrior’ (he’s the guy in the movie with the assless chaps). If you look closely while he and his chained woman are leaving the house, you can see that he’s still wearing assless chaps! 😂
That must have been a chore! SNL cast members consider him to be the worst host of all time because of his lack of sense of humor. I know he was "pretty" back in the day, but I could never be with a guy who couldn't make me laugh.
LOVED this era of 80s films! Good fun, smut and absolutely inappropriate and hilarious!!! People younger than 30 these days generally hate these kinds of films and it blows my mind because I grew up on them and have such a soft spot for them. I am so glad you watched it my dude! AND Kelly LeBrock was such a gorgeous woman in this film. Pure beauty, all natural. So much fun with this!
My parents took me to see this in the theater. I was 7 and I had questions after this. My dad used to watch this movie on repeat because he loved Kelly LeBrock (Lisa).
We were happier because out parents weren't so stressed as everyone is now, for one. We played outside until curfew, with energy to spare on the rare nights we got to stay outside late; I don't ever remember being too tired to keep playing . We interacted with people directly. The world was literally less warm, so we were all just had a bit more energy. Most of us saw the same movies and TV shows. We had more in common just in general, and we were mostly optimistic and inclusive.
this is one of your best reactions to one of my favorite movies when I was a kid ! your channel is THE BEST one on RUclips. I’m a huge fan and please don’t ever stop !! 😂❤
Near Dark is another amazing Bill Paxton performance. It's a movie best to go into completely blind outside of it being an 80's classic that needs more love & it's by the director of Point Break, Hurt Locker & more.
The actress who plays Lisa was in the Pantene shampoo ads. Model Kelly LeBrock would look at the camera and say, “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.”
Man I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED watching this reaction with you man! I saw this as a teenager back in the 80s and you brought back so many memories. HILARIOUS man! 😅🤣😂🤣
Since everyones throwing out the fun facts… one of the guys at the bar is I think his name is John kepelos, he played the janitor in breakfast club and the oily bo-hunk husband in 16 candles. Also, kid got a little enthusiastic in the kissing scene between Lisa and Wyatt- stuck his tongue in her mouth- so Kelly LeBrock pulled him aside and threatened to kick his arse if he ever tried it on again. Chet’s line about the greasy pork sandwich in a dirty ashtray is his own contribution… it’s what his dad used to say to him to gross him out when he came home with a hangover as a youngster. 😁
The actors being 16/17 and Kelly being 25 really brings out the awkwardness of the whole premise haha. The fact the movie leaned into that so well made it so much better than I expected.
It always makes me laugh when i see a reaction of this movie. When its a lady making the reaction they almost always say that the film is "problematic" by today's standards but every guy who watches the movie always agrees they wouldve done anything to be gary and wyatt at 15 😂 Great video as always man
Vernon Wells is the guy with the pink mohawk playing the Road Warrior biker character (He was in Mad Max - The Road Warrior) The biker chick he drags in with him is Debbie from the movie Repo Man, Jennifer Balgobin. Michael Berryman is one of the bikers was in the movie, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest
This is when I fell in love with RDJ, lol. One of my favorite movies of all time. FUN FACT: Oingo Boingo is the name of the band who sang the title song. The singer, Danny Elffman, is an amazing musical movie composer! He's did the musical score for the original Batman w/Michael Keaton; Basically all of Tim Burton movies. He's great!
The big bald biker guy who was a teacher, he later got promoted to principal. That actor plays the school principal in the Motley Crue music video for Home Sweet Home.
I would like to recommend one of my favorite underrated 80s movie. And it's called mischief and it's from the year 1985. It is a Ranchi comedy or a guy's romantic comedy and It's rated R. And one of the actors is John Travolta's wife, Kelly Preston. The movie is particularly popular for a nude scene with her.
Shawn Patrick Lane (jason bourne, captian america, transformers, the rookie, lethal weapon,g.i.joe retaliation)(cowboys&aliens w/harrison ford, daniel craig, sam rockwell) was the "This Budz For You" dude 🍺
Here because I was going through IMDB and saw I'd given it a 9. Had to watch a reaction to remember why I gave it such a high score - I remember being surprised how much I liked it but not that I liked it THAT much haha. They really leaned into the initial discomfort of two 16 year olds with a 25 year old, and shamelessly demanded you accept "yep she's a genie", and still brought it back to the "coming out of your shell" story in a way that just worked! Maybe really an 8 plus a bonus star for creative surprise haha. Also, FYI the music video for Static Jacks "Wallflowers" is a nice homage to this. It's on Vimeo.
I feel like people either love this movie or hate it, and I'm so glad you loved it! I was so young when I watched this at my friends house. It had to be a brand new movie rental from Blockbuster lol.
I always watch your videos when i can't sleep. I think I've watched more movies with you than i have my husband in the last 20 years lol😊 Thanks for the content! Great reactions❤
Anthony Michael Hall’s also in another John Hughes movie called Pretty In Pink with Molly Ringwald. You might like to react to it and another movie called Lisa Frankenstein. It came out not too long ago but it has a heavy 80’s vibe about it.
He's not in Pretty in Pink, he's in 16 Candles. He turned down the role of Duckie because he didn't wanna be typecast. He also turned down the role of Cameron in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
This was always one of my favs! I got a kick outta the tv show too. Tho I can barely remember it these days. And of course Kelly LeBrock could not be more of an absolute stunner. 😚👌

“He did all of that to shave his imagination” 😂

Kelly LeBrock as Lisa is the epitome of 80s pin up!

Pretty cool, I did not know that.
Robert Rusler was in the movie "Shag".
I love details like that. Cool.
He was also Uma Thurmans dad in Johnny B Good, who was Anthony Michael Halls love interest and Downey Jr is his best friend in the movie
The bald mutant biker is played by Michael Berryman(an iconic horror actor)
The other one was in mad max 2 with a similar look and Bennett in Commando
The Hills Have Eyes 2
@@beardedsloth7805I had always thought it was someone else imitating him, but it is him. Vernon Wells... 🤙😎
He’s also the principal in the Mötley Crüe video for _Smokin’ In The Boys Room._
He was also in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. He was sucking on an I.V. tube.
Anthony Michael Hall lowering his head during Chet's speech to keep from laughing.
I still use lots of quotes from this 80s classic 😂
26:19 - that's your favorite chain mail wearing bad guy from Commando
Yeah. He had to let some steam off.

This is a movie that defined parts of my childhood. I was obsessed with this movie. Also the t.v. show (I think it was on Scifi around '93ish)
Kelly Lebrock as Lisa was PERFECT!!! The guy in the bar with the voice you mentioned was also in movie called "Iron Eagle"...you should check it out.
What character did he play in Iron Eagle? I remember Louis Gossett Jr in that movie. But I don't remember that guy.
That's cuz he's wrong bro...lol
The movie is set in the town of Shermer, Illinois. The same town The Breakfast Club is set in.
