Andrea Evans she could have given us a, resolution we could have lived with, but no, she wanted in LEGACIES THERE to be no ORIGINAL vampires left. If she tells another story related it will be about a wolf and two witches...she always has a back door pilot...just not what we want to see....@julieplec did us no justice and a promise that was made 5 years ago has been broken. And has been teased so much. And on top if that they could have ended this season on a,much happier note without killing everyone or taking them out...but the name LEGACIES should have told everyone the story. Enough said. She even admitted all she ever wanted to do was a,boarding house show of "special children" hmmm sounds like a,rip off of the X-Men to me only they are witches werewolves and vampires....but sounds to me like she wants to write for comics and isn't good enough and thought they might look at her...😂😂😂

Lets b honest the writing in The Originals was way better then TVD.. They should have not ended it so soon they didn’t even let it run for full 22 episodes ... #willmissthis
season 1 and 2 were pretty good, if 3,4 and 5 were the same quality, I would be satisfied even with bad ending

I honestly remember the first two seasons being amazing; but it was kind of bad after that. I just loved the characters and kept watching. Same with TVD, it was sh*t past season 3.

For second I was going to go off on you because I thought you were saying Elijah should’ve died without happy ending but you are right. The writer just completely messed up we didn’t see the dance we didn’t see if they even got peace and so many people loved Elijah and Klaus. Meaning fans* of the show) But if The writer was going to add an ending tragic moment maybe Elijah should have died but gotten peace and his dance with Hayley. The writer could have done that and many people would be less upset but the ending just had me and many others depressed🥺🥺

I knew the ending was going to kill Klaus and Elijah. Predictable.
But we deserved a happy ending scene with Elijah and Hayley, am I right? They mentioned, "I'm waiting for that dance." It was such a prominent mention. SO WHY NOT.
I said this to another comment in another video. Yeah, this would be the perfect scene for an after credits ending. Not some dissecating corpses... I liked the ending for all characters in general, just not the very last scene they used to end the series...

I remember this show premiering in October of 2013 and now it's coming to an end just surprises me. Time flies by too quickly.

Do you understand why we are upset over the ending and the new spinoff THE CW is doing? Please FOR once if you can't speak your mind like you do in all other shows about how this was wrong in the the ending, and how the fans got screwed then please don t speak about remembering when it started...especially if you didn't watch it at all...thanks have a good day.

Amethyst Willow totally agree, if your a person that didn't watch it from tvd then your really not going to get why we're going to miss this show so much.tvd show is where these characters came from. I myself didn't like how they ended it I mean she killed off 2 major characters! Ill watch legacy to see who the adults are going to be and take it from there.

I literally just finished watching and Im crying my eyes out and I can’t even breathe because of crying so much it’s just so heartbreaking Stephen now Klaus and Elijah it’s so heartbreaking I’ve never cried this much for a show

This show, changed me somehow. The plot, the acting, it was like it was real. The Originals was a wonderful show, you can't change my mind.
my biggest regret for the finale, besides klaus dieing ofc, was the lack of a scene between marcel and klaus, klaus was basically his father and altough it wasn't really like that they should've had an individual goodbye (with freya too)
marcel only existed for 2 hundred years, klaus and elijah were together for 1000

After The Vampire Diaries then The Originals, I completely concur. She doesn’t write good endings.
I have fell in love with these charactersand what makes me mad the most is the fact that we finally get to see hope grow up and her and her dad we can't even see enough episodes with her and her dad when she finally grows up what was the point of them even coming to New Orleansif her and her dad wasn't going to get to spend time that's literally how to show started was with a baby and Haley's now she's dead and Josh is dead it's crazy how you can kill the main character of the show she has the worst endings all history they have to come back with the original s

I can't accept Klaus's death because I feel like Julie did this just because of the spin off. It would have been weird if Hope's parents were alive and did not come to see her. If it were not for legacies they could have gotten their happy ending. Hayley always said that she wanted something better for hope. Becoming an orphan isn't better. And it breaks my heart that Hayley at least saw hope grow up into a teenager. Klaus had very little time with her. This is heart breaking. I an already terrifies about my results because I messed up on an exam and now I am depressed about this and now I can't concentrate on anything because I am crying. This is shit.
I just wish Hope would secretely try to bring Klaus back to life or something. Like come on he is the best character out of all series.

Susan. Exactly. Originals has had some super sad endings before but they made sense. this one was just a mess. racing to the finish instead of building something up that worked. and it's not like they didn't have time to do so. They just wasted a good 10 episodes on plots threads that went nowhere
Last one, I don't think this was on purpose, the show pretty much got cancelled so Julie only had a season to wrap everything up. They probably gave her Legacies as the only option because The OGs ratings fell (got moved to a shitty time slot because superhero shows) so she did what she could.
I just finished the ending of The Originals and I am so heartbroken. 😢💔 The Mikaelsons were maybe the ones we feared in The Vampire Diaries, but we loved them deeply in The Originals, because they showed why family is the most powerful thing to have. 😢 Among all, I am deeply sad & broken, because Hope became an orphan at such a young age. You can see in Legacies how she struggled so much without Hayley & Klaus by her side. 😭 I will definitely love Hope more in Legacies Season 2, so much! And for our Niklaus, I am so proud of him. He became the man that we could ever love for. Klaus is really a great father. 😭❤ You really can see how scared he was when Hope was close to dying and will do anything to save her. Like Klaus said, he may not lived a honorable life, but he became the man to have an honorable death. I am truly happy & honored to be able to see & bring The Originals with me as I go on. The Originals, The Mikaelsons, will remain here in my heart. Always and Forever. 💖

Sorry Julie but the ending was a disaster. I know it showed brotherly love and showed Klaus' redemption but I think Elijah should have just transferred the magic into himself and died there. And... where was the reunion between Elijah and Hayley? Did Klaus and Elijah even find peace? Caroline? Hope? WE NEED A REWRITE.

I'm so annoyed that the wedding they ended up having was between two characters that didn't even exist in TVD or the beginning season's of TO. Like I wanted to see actual Original's get married, like Marcel and Rebekah! Not enough was ever shown on them. And I know Kol and Davina did get married, but I wanted to SEE IT! And Klaus or Elijah never got married??? The wedding they showed was so pointless, honestly.

The cast of The Originals were outstanding, very memorable, and the scenes well written. From an older person's point of view it was really a magnificent show to watch. All I can personally say is "Bravo!"
I have been a loyal fan of The Vampire Diaries since it began in 2009. I have never missed an episode of TVD or TO. After 9 years you become attached to the characters...or at least I did. This ending was just devastating to watch. We did not get to see if Elijah or Klaus found peace. When their ashes floated in the air & the logo came on...I thought "What just happened???" Horrible horrible ending😭😭 Definately not the way I wanted to say goodbye to the characters & tv show I've loved for 5 years & invested time in watching. It just felt wrong. Murder-suicide??? Why Julie??? Elijah & Klaus deserved better. I was really excited for Legacies just because I've been watching "vamps" for so long that I can't imagine what it will be like without them...it certainly softened the blow for me when TVD ended because The Originals were still around. Knowing me I will probably tune in to see what Legacies is all about; however, I don't foresee investing in the characters like I did with TVD and TO.

The characters got closure but we didn't! At least with VD, you got to see them in the afterlife. Really hope Legacies shows us Hayley, Elijah, Klaus etc in the afterlife... but I very much doubt it. so let me repeat what just happened. elijah would have gladly taken the dark magic from hope and then kill himself to make sure hope can grow up with her father alive. klaus wouldnt let him because he wanted redemption and also didnt want elija to die so he can look after hope. and then elijah just goes " yea i wanna die too btw, and everyone is fine with that" for no reason at all and klaus just lets him do this ? i loved TVD and the originals but jesus christ julie plec is awful at writing series finales.

Part of it is also that the show pretty much got cancelled right? I'm sure there were many more stories to tell but with ratings and DCW adding more & more superhero shows things have to go. This leaves Julie with a even harder job, trying to wrap up as many things as possible in 1 season.

It really didn't make any sense. They're family would never just give up, they always, always find another way. Plus, it was just so abrupt, there was no build up. It just made their deaths seem kind of pointless. Also the fact that they killed each other just standing in like the middle of the street where anyone could see them. None of it made sense.
Adelheid Hock Like I said before, that could be a metaphor. Yes they never give up and they even said in the song that there is probably another way but there’s no time to find it. Metaphor being, yes it was rushed but the show was basically cancelled so Julie did what she could to give a emotional ending as well as tie into Legacies. Now whether people agree with the ending is up for debate but I liked it. Klaus wanted to be alone so why would others be around for it. Elijah was the only one who made sense.
Love the Originals and I know they normally wouldn’t let this stop them from surviving BUT DCW has to make room for their 6 hero shows. I’m curious what time slot Legacies will get. Friday’s killed The OG’s
The first show to actually have me in tears, I can’t believe you ended it like that. Klaus did not deserve to die! Where was the happy ending the whole 5 seasons was them trying to stay alive.. the only time they were all happy together was the last episode! I just watched the first episode to the last episode in 3 weeks to find out there’s no season 6 and you killed off all my favourite characters.. surely it’s a joke🤨🧐

To answer your question to whether or not Klaus found peace was answered in the most recent episode of Legacies, I assume the answer to the others will be in a later episode. (All unanswered questions/ loose ties will be answered in Legacies)
That's where I'm twisted. When Hope got to see Hayley in the afterlife, we saw that she was with Jackson. Would she even get to be with Elijah?

usually shows become boring after watching them once but i rewatched the originals around 7times now and its still not boring. there are so many scenes that are good and memorable that you cannot possibly memorise them all, its never a dull boring moment, always something going on
3:19 - I connected with Klaus so much, I even started saying Love to everyone. This show is epic, its brilliant and paved its own beautiful path to our hearts.
I really connected with the family dynamics! I am the eldest of 9 brothers and sisters, it really hits home for me, I love the series, no swearing, no cursing of our lords name thank you so much for your talents. Love the ORIGINALS!!!!
I actually liked how family was together in end. How Ester sacrificed her to save her kids. How Finn made peace with family before he died. Even Mikael died with peace seeing his daughter. And end was kind of declaration of peace.
I cried like a baby !! I just finished it on Netflix. Amezing show amezing cast. Thank you for taking me on this wonderful jurney. I lost my dad 4 month ego and this show was my escape ..thank you again. Always and forever ❤️
This show was probably the best spin off show..Emotions,action,love, devotion each n evryy epi was to good.. I have watched the last season of it dis year..N i cant imagine how i m going to live my life without the originals epi.I loveee youu pleasee comeback in legacies..Please...❤

this was the worst ending , Klaus wanted to sacrifice himself and rejected Elijah's death so Elijah would be alive but when he wanted to due with him so what was the point of both of them dying???? Klaus death was unnecessary when Elijah accepted to sacrifice himself .He should have been with his daughter , so that ending didn't make sense killing two main characters without a logical reason ....
she only did it so she could set up legacies. the whole second to last episode was to introduce the new characters. it's trash.
The point of this ending was Klaus finally doing the selfless thing of sacrificing himself to save his daughter, therefore, redeeming himself.
Elijah had spent a millennium trying to help Klaus achieve his redemption. When that was done, Elijah had no meaning in his life anymore. He had lived a thousand lifetimes, so the best ending he could have gotten was to die beside his brother. The two were inseparable.
The overall storyline of this show was Niklause slowly, but surely gaining his redemption. And when that happened, they simply completed their lives, and passed on.
(Sorry really late) but what pissed me off is that they didn’t even show them reuniting with their late loved ones,I really wanted to see klaus and cami reunite.Yet they showed every dead person at the end on TVd.🙄

the originals literally had the most saddest ending ever. i thought the vampire diaries did, then i watched this. at least on the vampire diaries it showed everyone at P E A C E when they died, or just at peace in general with their life. but TO... they literally just died and nothing else...?
Exactly! How about that last dance that Hayley was talking about? They could show us a scene of her and Elijah dancing together after he and Klaus stabbed each other. And Klaus? They could show us the scene where he looks at Hope, smiles and dissappears, like Hayley did, or the scene of peace that he finds with Cami. So many possibilities, but no, the writers had to leave us depressed...

He said Klaus watches over her everyday, died with love in his heart, does not regret his decision and said that his spirit it all around Hope. So that can mean that he isn’t in darkness or what? Because the damn writer didn’t give us any proper closure on what remains Klaus. Like cmon, I’m over here crying still.
Unpopular opinion but I loved how Klaus and Elijah went out. Always and forever, brotherly love, and redemption. The Mikaelsons were always about family and people outside of their circle hated that about them. Hated how they would do anything and everything to keep themselves alive. That they weren’t capable of sacrificing their own for the better good of everyone. Klaus and Elijah did that. They stopped all hell from breaking loose even if their initial intention was only to save Hope, their friends, and family.
I see comments saying Elijah should have just taken in the demon and died alone but if I remember correctly, Klaus was chosen because he was the most powerful creature before Marcel became a version of an upgraded original. Remember the thing was so powerful they had to split it among FOUR originals. Then when Hope tried to carry it alone, it was so powerful that it could have killed her. So Klaus carried it so that his siblings could live on. If Klaus wasn’t going to sacrifice himself, Elijah wouldn’t have known he himself would be willing to die too. Elijah’s life purpose was Klaus, if there was no Klaus he wouldn’t know how to carry on living. And Klaus wouldn’t have let Elijah die alone, hell Klaus couldn’t stay away from Elijah when he basically begged Elijah not to look for him. They were a package and inseparable. One wouldn’t agree to live if the other had agree to die. They had to go out together or not at all.
I also believe the ending was the best way to officialize Klaus’ character growth. For 1,000 years Mikael called him weak and an abomination. As a “dad” Mikael didn’t protect his children, he never made sacrifices for his kids. Instead he hunted them and inserted fear into them. Klaus was the strongest creature around for a long time. Usually strongest creatures are selfish and to remain the strongest they don’t care or love. But in Legacy, THE necromancer said Klaus died with LOVE in his heart. Klaus gave up his life as one of the strongest creatures. He wasn’t born evil and all he ever truly wanted was unconditional love. When Hope said she saw a monster that looked like her dad, it pained Klaus. Ever since Hope was born, Klaus wanted to be nothing but the exact opposite of Mikael as a dad and a man. So once again I believe the ending was necessary and beautiful.
Connected with a character. We as fans did more than connect. We cried with the mikaelsons, laughed, smiled, and hoped. Thank you all for the best moments in our last 5 years.

I fell in love with the character Eligah and in the last episode, I felt like I was part of the family and I cried sooooo bad but greatest thing I learned from this show is how very important family is ♥️♥️♥️

I literally love this show. One of my most favorite shows ever made. This show is a masterpiece and is underrated. Honestly the vampire diary universe if you will is great. I think legacies will be good as well.

They should’ve at least showed us what Eljiah and Klaus face after death. “What if there is no peace after this?” They should’ve done something about it, maybe a little teaser or just an aftermath. They’re ‘The Originals’, they must have some abilities to maybe show up again for a season 6 or just show up in the real world. This show has so much potential to continue for seasons 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. It was such a great great show. I really don’t why it had to end.
I think the ending was done so poorly in my opinion. They wasn't called the originals for nothing! I thought bringing something more powerful in was a mistake. Making marcel the beast was silly because I don't think the originals should fear anyone. Like Klaus said he was their makers.. After everything they have been through and overcome its ridiculous it's now over. We should seem some afterlife or something rather than nothing! They live forever remember..

If hope was “the most powerful witch” I don’t know why her powers where never shown...? Or how she didn’t really help anyone at all. I think it’s because Julie just wanted to hurry and kill of the series so she could start working on the BS legacy crap. I am a 76 year "child" that has just finished watching for the first time The Originals, as fast as I could get from one episode to the next!! The ending brought me to tears!!! So emotional !! So that said, I have to say that I loved every single one in the cast! except for Klaus & Elija who I Absolutely Adored ( I will be looking for more of them on the screen) I think all the actors played their parts to perfection BUT who could resist the smile of Klaus, when he was allowed to show it!!!! I wish all the cast the very best of everything and will be looking for all of you on the screen. Klaus you will have to stop biting people and fighting with your brother!!!!!!!!!!!
I've finally reached highschool and I'm happy to have grown up even if for a small time knowing "I got to watch the originals" because its taught me about so much.. that life doesn't always go as you want (Rebekah cannot keep someone she loved until Marcel )and people will come after you (Witches hunting the mikaelsons) and some will use you (Hope and the Hollow) but its important that you pull though it all even if in a bad way ( Klaus) even when I'm an old woman I'll be sure to pass on the fact to watch The Originals. so if I'm ever asked someone who is your inspiration.

That was a Beautiful ending! I'm gonna miss this show...some seasons were stronger than others but really, the quality and intensity and seriousness remained a constant throughout the series..I watched TVD and always found the originals to have a very different ,edgy,intensity and an Adult quality and theme that TVD was lacking...This one was a darker show and i liked that...To see Both klaus And Elijah go from homicidal ,heartless,cold mass murders into what the ultimately became in the finale was wild! this was a great ride with a great ending,loved the family get together and the brothers final moments.
Will never forget this TV show. Definitely in my Top 10 hands down. Remember that picture of Hayley and Elijah in S5? I paused and looked at the photo for like 10 mins and was like "GOD I WANT THAT!". The way she looked at him in the photo actually made me tear up alot. I will never forget the way she looked at him in that photo despite all I dislike about her character.
I became depressed that Klaus and Elijah died together. After all the battles I saw them be in and protect each other. When u think of it no one these days fight for family like these guys did. Even though they were just acting out a huge story. I felt it and now I’m just depressed over it

Klaus changed so much. He became a father. He understands the fortune of being a father and he was a good father always. His death was not fair.
I have literally grown up on these series. I have been watching Vampire Diaries actively since it came out in 2009 and then started watching Originals in 2013. Now I’m 19 and I have referenced this show in my English course work so many times, specifically Originals. We had to write about our favourite movie/show and give a reason to why we chose that movie/series and I wrote about Originals, I got an A* for it. Not to mention how this show has helped me improve my vocabulary and the books helped me improve my writing skills. Honestly the fact that the show has now ended breaks my heart.
I always recommend this great series of The Originals, all because it's always about love and family! Congrats to all actors and the rest for making this series so good and unforgettable! Coz it simply the best!
