4:28 You mean Transitive Dependency right? Transitive Dependency (used for 3NF) where X -> Y where both X & Y are non-prime attributes.
But Function Dependency is something else right? (used for 2NF) where if r1.x == r2.x, then r1.y == r2.y
I'm confused, please clarify?

I think this table is violating 2NF because subset of candidate key i.e emp_id is functional dependent on non-prime attribute(Emp_country). please clarify on this.
