You did a super restoration of the pressure fueler, RAF handsomely done! 👍, Martin my friend always enjoy your work, take care & see ya on your next restoration.👋😎🚙🚗🚒
Wonderful restoration of an iconic model, first came across one in the infants toy box when I started school 60 years ago....... should av knicked it then as I would still have it.
Hi Martin, I thought it would end up in the standard RAF blue in the beginning but what a surprise I got with the finished model, absolutely wonderful. You have a great vision my friend which makes me watch your channel. Excellent and well done mate! 👏👏👏. Cheers. ………..Graham
hi martin from a 70 year old boy, i had one of these as a child and have still got one in mint condition, yes the rear body does lean back a bit, its mean't to be like that. this vehicle based on a Leyland hippo. we had loads of fun years ago with these toys.
Cheers Peter unfortunately all my old toys disappeared when I was sent away to school , yes I can see it still does sit back a bit not as much well you live and learn . All the best Martin 👍
Excellent as always Martin. amazing two-color painting, I have never seen this type of model in these colors before. It looks amazing. Best regards, Paul
When I'm watching your 'before' shot on the roundabout, I often imagine which direction you'll go (or what I might do!). Total surprise this time with the blue/yellow combo, but what a great choice. It look terrific, Martin. So nicely done! 🍁☕👊
Wonderful job and the paint is perfect. I'm need to order 2500 gallons of aircraft fuel 😊. I'll be looking for you next Wednesday . Hope you have a great weekend
Hi Martin, that looks really nice. I've never seen one of these before. You've done a lovely job. Always look forward to your videos. It's a great hobby this isn't it? My dear late brother in law introduced me to it about three years ago, and since then I've been hooked. I've had a lifelong interest in diecast models, but never thoght of restoring them til he introduced me to it. All the best to you and your family
Thanks Alan, yes this is a great hobby to get into you have a lot of options to choose from so it keeps it interesting, have my friend and all the best Martin 👍
Hi Martin nice job on the tanker. The blue and yellow look good together and it's great you were able to get the gap between the cab and tank spot on. There's a mechanic on RUclips in America who has one of those huge Chevy pickup trucks with the duel wheels on the back and when he lifts it up on his hoist the back sags and the gap between the cab and the tray gets wider. Just go's to show the whole chassis must be bending with the weight. I preferer the black tyres than the grey and the axil turned out nice and strait when you put it in the drill there was no wobble at all. Catch you on the next one mate stay safe.👍🏻
Hi Martin geat job on the refueller ,the elonggated hole in second axle is for travelling over rough ground as early six and eight wheelers had only one drive axle,if you got the rear axle on a lump the drive axle could loose traction as the other axle ,hope this makes sense, the dinky scammell army wrecker had both axles floating,,ps liked the coach resto ,regards graham
interesting,Martin.not sure RAF tankers looked like this, though. No reference photo's on google?most RAF tankers theses days are military green with a yellow band, but i'm guessing this is ww2 or after?
Morning Martin do enjoy a lorry video that army foden I'm doing as same elongated middle axle couldn't really understand why they did it on foden its Evan more longated
looks fresh and new in yellow-and-blue. :) and now the details are visible, too, like the One Headlight. XD I have seen the elongated axle slot on the second axle in many castings actually, and a lot of H0 scale plastic trucks. it is indeed to let the truck sit straight on uneven ground so it won't lift the butt or something. SIKA makes a glueing/sealing compound for auto body work (NEOPLAN buses were half-welded and half-glued together with that stuff). I wonder if one could greate grey tyres out of it like with window glueing compound. then again black tyres look better, so there. :)
Cheers Lothar, thanks for the information on the axle slot 👍 I haven't got round to moulding my own tyres yet but I will give that stuff a go when I do All the best Martin
