Tsukiji is based off the Tsukiji fish market in Japan. It's a hot auction for seafood and is so well known people visit it just to watch. There's also a market nearby to buy and eat fresh seafood. Yumm!

I bought Vabanque in Japan this year (because I remember Tom mentioning it). Apparently, the Japanese version is published in 2017. The game is language-independent so I just needed to download the rules from BGG. I agree that it is a fun, bluffing game.

Odd that Tom likes Fantasy Business but generally does not like semi-coop. They both have a similar premise, require cooperation and backstabbery, and you win by lying/manipulating. Both can fall apart if people do not really play it right and choose to just bomb the game instead. Also, Vabanque was recently Kickstarted for a new edition and failed funding.
Interesting list -- but perhaps the cutoff should have been higher than BGG 3,000? How many times did Tom or someone else say, "That is a horrible game" -- meaning that perhaps these games aren't unsung, which implies a gem missed somehow, but simply bad (or at best mediocre) games.

So you were trying to find the lowest game on BGG that's still good? Because Magnastorm (which got a Excellent judgement) is only at rank 3082, so it would qualify for this list. Sad that this game doesn't get more plays.
They know, but many people don't have those now either. Many people stream movies now through different online services, like Netflix, among many others. My family wouldn't have a dvd player either if we didn't have an old Playstation 3 sitting somewhere.

Magnastorm is too recent, they said they were avoiding games from 2018 onward because they could still be climbing in the charts.
