@@SmoothAsUsual47 It’s funny because I did take peoples advice, did watch videos on combat, I’m just giving it my best attempt lol. Plus, I don’t think they fully watch the videos because they’ll say things that I do comment on 😂 I said oh, maybe I should change and equip lighting or whatever was needed. Definitely not trying to rush through, but get something new thrown at me the more I play the game. I am not the fastest learner, doesn’t mean I’m not trying 😅
@@SquiddySyddy you're doing great! And your playthrough is your own. Figuring it out is half the fun! Don't worry about being an expert like some people expect. I honestly just mashed on my first playthrough. As long as you know lighting hurts machines and fire hurts humans you'll be fine. Just use that assess materia and you're good to go! Keep it up Syddy :)
Woot, let's go! I think you're on the right track, punisher block vs melee, and using Aerith's ward is esp good if you hit their weakness with the right spell. Mobs focus on the character you're controlling so switching often after giving commands will keep them confused.
Thank you!! I feel more comfortable, just a bit tripped up trying to use the new Aerith abilities n such in a smart way. Especially because hers are so different from the rest this far!
If you press the L2 button you can cycle between no map, compass or minimap. I like playing with minimap, makes it easier to not get lost and don't have to open the map menu so often.
Let's goo syddy. We love Aerith. She is her. And all that matters is you enjoy playing the game. You don't need to be miss pro FF7 to beat it or have fun. Just enjoy the game! If things get tough it's all good because you can handle it and you have plenty of people who will provide helpful tips if needed xD.
I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned yet but you can press the touchpad in battle to check if you’ve already assessed an enemy instead having to recast it every time Also you can hold L1 when using a potion out of battle to spam multiple Great video!
Fun episode. Remember that certain eneies do attacks that cause certain ststus effects, like sleep, poison, slow etc. You can see if you have been affected bybsomething on the bottom left side of each characters name/energy bar. You can jtilize specific items to cure these. So, if youre poisoned, your energy will gradually deplete. So, use an antidote to cure the poison. Or, the specific materia spell if you have it equipped.
I know one thing, Aerith is certainly popular among the kids😊53:50 "Quit acting like you know me!" Cloud really needs to show some manners when being a guest in someone's home🙄
@@gibbs615 I’m being patient with Cloud cause I think there’s a lot to unpack with his story still! It made me sad when he wasn’t giving back the same energy as Aerith but I don’t hold it against him haha
Regarding healing, you should use the cure spell to heal. It is stronger than potions, and doesn't cost money. Sit on benches to rest & refill magic. It also becomes stronger, press x, then spells, press right on cure, it becomes cura which heals more. Same with fire, press right on it to choose fira.
@@SquiddySyddy It's okay to use cure more since it's restorable & you keep your money. There's a lot of benches to refill, so don't worry about MP. If it heals low choose cura. Have fun!!

I guess this is late, but you didn’t really need to switch strategies from rolling to blocking. Me personally, I barely blocked the whole game and just got really good at dodging. Honestly I also think it was a good thing to learn because a lot of the end bosses and their attacks have unblockable attacks (excluding barrier magic) that you should just dodge. This doesn’t matter though, since I suppose you already cleared the whole game. I just think blocking is not as good as dodging.
Cloud is such a badass character this dude is awesome, if I was Square Enix I would totally do a crossover game where Cloud and Clive from Final Fantasy 16 meet and team up I know it doesn't make sense because they are from different time periods but I don't care I want this Square Enix ! 😁😂🤘🔥🔥
The Final Fantasy Dissidia game, has all final fantasy heros meet to defeat Chaos the ultimate evil. The first dissidia came out in psp days, the last one a few years ago. There's cutscene vids here about the story, check it out.
@@SquiddySyddy It's actually pretty amazing seeing the contrast between FF16 and FF7 Remake. Just looking at Cloud and Clive really shows that. FF7 is typically what you would expect from a Japanese RPG with all these beautiful characters in their teens and early 20's, many of the male characters look like they would be in a boy band or something... While with FF16 they went for a more westernized approach, more similar to games Skyrim, Witcher, or Dragon Age.
2:25 I’m pretty sure he’s not actually first class💔 he just believes that he is 🤔 It is a crazy thing, watching him sprint around with unwavering strength and agility, Poor Pooh bear is obviously lost and confused given those crazy hallucinations he has
The thing about spoilers is that when you hear them, they aren’t always clearly explained and there’s still a sense of wonder. I did start out by saying that I was pretty sure. Personally details like this would drive me absolutely crazy not knowing -so why does he think that? What happened? There’s still so much more to uncover then confirming something that could have easily been theory

That's all very true about him! He's really a lost man who doesn't remember who he is or have his priorities in order right now.
