It's a rough sport, not for the faint of heart. And the faster you go, the harder you sometimes hit the ground.

Man, there's barely any respect in supercross. It's practically a 50/50 chance that riding the outside of a corner will get you dive bombed and cleaned out.
That's part of the experience that the top guys have, knowing when you're exposed or not and when you have to protect the inside. Kinda like how elite NFL quarterbacks can tell when the pocket is collapsing and they have to get rid of the ball, same sort of "spidey sense" comes in in this sport too.

It's pretty common for their to be an exposed sort of "Apron" or "Skirt" around the edge of the facility for easy movement of officials, medical equipment, camera equipment, and water trucks and stuff. I understand that it seems bad but the odds of someone flying that far off the track is really low, and they sometimes have to move in all this dirt, build this track, and run the race in a day or two, because they're usually sandwiched between a football game and a rock concert or something, so anything to make their load-in and load-out easier, they're going to do.

look up mx simulator, when you crash you dont reset, your rider comes off and slowly makes him way back on

I had this happen to me, bike landing on top of me after a get off and the header pipe was pressed against my back while I was face down in between two whoops. It burned me through me jersey and left a pretty good scar. It was pretty painful and I guess looked strange as I was trying to crawl really fast with the bike on top of me.

0:47 they show the angle. You can see the rider knew full well he was about to collide with 62. He had the choice to ditch or wreck another rider and he chose to wreck another rider.
0:53 the rider does the same thing trying to crash 62 on the face of a jump. If somebody hasnt taken him out back and fist fight over this then there is something wrong with the sport.

People should not feel too sorry for them. They get hurt but they usually know there is a risk of an accident before they start the race.

problem with this sport its short lived. all the injuries and physical pain you get early on, by your mid 20s you've had so many breaks, tears, internal ruptchers, bleeds that it just forces you to stop...my mate has had constant issues with his back since he was 24. brutal sport!
Kroc looked so good this year, to bad the season had to end early.
Can’t stand ferrandis. I’m all for aggressive riding but that dude has all the skill necessary to win without doing a kamikaze just to get around another rider. Foolish and careless behavior that can potentially jeopardize a riders career..

It would be informative to overlay medical cost estimations of the injuries. For transparency sake. It looks all fun and games but as a parent or self-paying kid, this could help knowing more about this exciting sport.
