Flames should totally trade Naz if they can and get good value.

If the playoffs started today, CGY would pull WPG as their opponent. That would be like trying to damage a brick wall with ping pong balls.
Calgary fans are getting ahead of themselves. The ONLY benefit for CGY making the playoffs would be for Wolf to earn accolades; the experience itself would be to his detriment when the Flames get swept by the likes of the soilers or the Jets.
EP40 is set to pop off now that JTM9 is gone. LA is dealing with wildfires and are due to rebound any minute now. There is only a two point difference between CGY and VAN with the same amount of games played. I think it's best if Conroy folds and begins selling off assets.

Backland will drop off before kadri. Regardless, both backland and kadri are worth more to the team and development of the younger players then just the production they bring. Plus the cap is rising. Kadri's contract will not be a problem

Kadri and vladar are the pieces that should be moved.
I think you at least get an idea what he’s worth on the market. You also have to leverage that against what he has done and is doing for our young players. He has been a great roll model so far, I think his influence can be seen in how Coronato has taken control of his game and thrives with the puck on his stick. I feel Zary has learned a ton from Kadri as well, and Naz never quits, he steps up in big ways. Sure you take the good with the bad sometimes, but Kadri is a net positive in so many ways. So unless that offer is really good, you sit for now.
Kadri may have already decided not to leave.
It's not happening. Kadri won't be moved. His contract is long term and his output is down. Unless the flames can get a top line right shot center he's not being moved. And Colorado isn't going to give that up for him.
Kadri for Mittlestadt+ while age-wise makes sense, it probably would disrupt the current group too much. Him and Huberdeau work well enough that I'm not sure you'd want to sabotage that. Like Connie says, the group has earned a solid shot at playoffs with how they've played so far. No need to dismantle the top of the forward group. A Kadri trade made the most sense last summer. The next most sensible time is next summer.

I don’t think the flames will trade these pieces before the deadline but come draft season it’s not totally unfair to say any one of those guys get traded for a higher draft pick and a bad contract to help a team in free agency
