Brighter Day - Alex Harry (Official Video)

In 2021, my hometown of Coventry is the UK City Of Culture.
Me and a friend had an idea, what if I could write something as a sort of anthem to the City Of Culture 2021. Similar to the World Cup, Olympics etc, but less cringe (hopefully).
What I didn't realise at the time was how relevant the song would be to the current world we are living in. The Covid-19 world we are all part of right now is pretty scary, and depressing for many people. Maybe this song can bring a little light to peoples lives, and hope that things could return to normal soon.
So.
We started out with just a brief idea, and through a lot of hours, over days, which turned into weeks in a bedroom studio, I ended up with a finished product. In terms of audio anyway.

The next step was to create a video that captures the concept of the song. So I called up my good friend and videographer Billy Brownhill, together we sat down and went through ideas of how we could incorporate the Coventry City Of Culture 2021, and its people.
We spent a few days walking around in the rain just looking for Coventry people who we thought could represent the city in the video. Luckily people were up for it and (mostly) didn't think we were weird.
Anyway, this is the finished product, from two coventry born and raised creatives just working out of their bedrooms.
