- Hello everyone welcome to my RUclips Channel. I am Amber and a beginner fluid artist from Dallas, Texas and I am excited to share my journey with you all.
Today I will be demonstrating a deconstructed bloom on a larger canvas.

Canvas used is a 12x24 gallery wrapped level 3 canvas purchased from Michaels
Paint and Pigments Used:
Golden Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold
TLP Cinnamon
Golden Dioxazine Purple
TLP Violet Rain
Golden Quinacridone Magenta
TLP Parakeet
Amsterdam Phthalo Green
Amsterdam Lamp Black Cell Activator- recipe below
Pouring Medium
3 parts Valspar Base C UNTINTED (available at Lowe's)
1 part Varathene Triple High Gloss Varnish (water base- available at Home Depot or Ace Hardware)
***For pigments wet them to a thick consistency with JoSonja Varnish (available at Fluid-art.co)
Pillow Paint
Acts as a "pillow" to your paints and pigments. I used PPG Multi-Pro, Eggshell White and Pastel base. Available at Home Depot
Cell Activator
3 parts Australian Floetrol (available at Fluid-art.co)
1 part paint
Paints used Amsterdam Lamp Black
This Little Piggy Pigments, mixing containers; and mixing spoons available at:

Hi Kim and thank you! There was just too much pillow paint and it would have cracked and crazed if I didn’t stretch it off. I was losing all my nice cells so just decided to scrape it LOL!

@@ambergoodwinart Lol I am setting up to do a pour with a spinner currently. I decided that I don't feel like setting up extra plastic or the puppy pool so I am just going to spin slow and hope it doesn't go everywhere ! So I can relate 😂

@@ambergoodwinart Hey neighbour to the south , I am in S Ontario 😁 Little frosty down there for Dallas these past few days! Lol Thanks for the tip on ending with tube paint VS pigment. I Didn’t know that one & I will be trying this one out tonight for sure. I like how you list the paints used in layering order instead of grouped by mfg.
Anytime!!! I love to share what I know so it can help others!!! Yes it’s best to have a tube paint below your cell activator because pigments can cause the cells to be fuzzy. Also opaque paints work best for the cell activator 😉
Oh yes it has been freezing and we have been iced in! I didn’t have work since Tuesday and my kids were out of school. Then to make things worse our downstairs heating unit went out! So we have been upstairs mostly…
