M62 Motorway - J20 (A627(M) Rochdale) to J22 (A672 Windy Hill)

The M62 is the Lancashire to Yorkshire motorway, running cross country for 107 miles/172km from Liverpool in the West, via Manchester and Leeds to North Cave a few miles to the west of Kingston-upon-Hull. Part of the original M62 became part of Manchester's M60 orbital motorway. The M62 crosses the Pennines and this section was a major feat of engineering. This part includes the highest motorway in England, reaching 372m/1,221ft close to the Greater Manchester/West Yorkshire border, and famously includes a farmhouse in the middle of the two motorway carriageways.
This video shows an eastbound journey along the M62 motorway, running from J20 for the A627(M) just south of Rochdale, to J22 for the A672 close to the M62 summit on Windy Hill.
