I'm so glad I came across this channel!! I'm so glad that someone actually cares for the lyrics for once and not just about the aesthetics and the appearance of the members
They literally started in the desert with nothing. Their debut music video as well as the second music video from their first album were shot in the desert in Morocco. They were the first group from their company so they didn’t have a ton of money to spend on music videos so they just took them to cool locations in the Moroccan desert and let them dance, and it was so hot that the soles melted off of their shoes.
This is gonna be a bit long but i hope you read it hehe Just a little background cuz i thought it would help: ATEEZ [Ay-teez] debuted on October 24, 2018, under KQ Entertainment. The group consists of eight members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. ATEEZ stands for "A TEEnager Z," which represents the group's determination to pursue their dreams and aspirations. ATINY is a mashup of ATEEZ and DESTINY so basically, we are ATEEZ’s DESTINY. They may be intimidating on stage, but I promise you they aren’t like that in real life. They are really really funny. ATEEZ made history as the first K-pop group to embark on a world tour 4 months after their debut. They gained a lot of recognition right after debuting. In March 2019, ATEEZ kicked off their first world tour, "The Expedition Tour," which included stops in fourteen cities across the United States, Europe, and Australia. ATEEZ has gained significant international recognition, with fans all over the world. They have also been featured on several Billboard charts, including the World Digital Song Sales chart, the Social 50 chart & the billboard top 200. ATEEZ is also known for their dynamic and versatile performances. They have this concept called in easier terms the "Universe" or otherwise a pirate concept[which is made you a bit confused in answer cuz its alll connected]. The group often incorporates themes of space, time, and alternate dimensions in their music and performances, emphasizing their desire to explore the world and connect with their fans on a deeper level. you can check the theory out: [ www.ateezstoryline.com/post/ateez-storyline-updated-december-2022#:~:text=The%20main%20hypothesis%20is%20that,future%20of%20the%20same%20dimension. ] ATEEZ's music style is diverse, incorporating elements of hip-hop, EDM, rock, pop etc. They are recognized for their powerful vocals, rap skills, and impressive dance abilities. They can do all this live- its insane trust me. You should watch one of their most famous live performances at the kingdom which won number 1 in the first round itself : ruclips.net/video/-uDitNeFO-I/видео.html Here are some other songs you should check out: - Halazia - Guerilla - Hala Hala - Turbulence - Eternal Sunshine - The Real
Thank you a teeny it's nice to see other things aside from army also in love with other male groups. And these male groups are wonderful beautiful funny loving and inspirational and encourages everyone, fans and non-fans alike to press on and follow their dreams, and These are one of the top few things that I love about the Kpop Industry and their Messages to the world 🥺🫂💜
Bulnoriya/Fireworks is such a Banger!!!!! Honestly one of my ult faves! Even the remixes are pretty good too. But honestly you haven't even scratched the surfaces of the bangers in their discography!
Love your reactions! As someone who also likes weird I would suggest “Hala Hala”, “The Real”, “Guerrilla”, and “ Halazia”!!!! I would also recommend a beautiful vocal song “Turbulence”. Hope you enjoy 🔥
ohh having so much fun with these reactions!! ateez are fire! would also advice their debute song pirate king (still A bop), turbulence is also pretty good (just trying to rip one's feelings) and the real, definitely the real, my jaw still drops everytime i watch the mv
I think a lot of their songs can refer to their storyline, but also, with the desert, their debut MVs were set in the desert, and they were part of a small company, so the line about starting in the desert from nothing could be referring to their debut.
Listen, I tell this to everyone who gets into Ateez. If you love seeing storylines throughout music videos, pay attention to Ateez's storyline. It is so intricate & intense. Like I legitimately have a 5 page essay on their storyline alone because it is so mind bending. I promise, it is just so cool to look into.
the plot of answer and the black fits with the fedora and masks are part of a whole storyline of ateez, it’s a long explanation lol but to briefly explain why there’s two versions of ateez (basically cuz there is) is because there are two universes in their storyline. universe a - which is where the ateez we know are from and universe z - which is where halateez are from.
Ateez is pronounced A tease. Unfortunately Mingi is not in the fireworks video as he was on hiatus but they still included his vocals. Bulnoriya translates to playing with fire.
I 100% recommend looking into their lore! Their songs and videos are based on it and it would make it much more enjoyable for you!! I look at the songs differently as I learn it.
5:10 "The desert with nothing, we started there." It's them saying from Pirate King (debut) era when they started with nothing, they also first filmed in a desert. So like it has a double meaning
for the line about the desert in Answer, it’s a reference to their debut song Pirate King, which was filmed in the desert ! After that line, when it says “nothing”, i believe it’s because they started from nothing, them being in a (previously) unknown company. :)
8:23 im a new atiny (hi :D) and i interpreted the second verse as explaining like where they came from? from nothing and trying their hardest in everything they did, shouting as loud as they can, and as they gained supporters and confidence they stopper caring when people said and thought ?? but the rest of the song i agree w how u under stood it !!
im so glad you did more ateez! it is pronounced aye-tease!! also some of the lyrics/visuals can be hard to understand, thats because they have a very in depth story line! all mvs and such are connected :) i am glad you are enjoying ateez
bulnoriya means fireworks in korean for me i think answer and say my name are my favs out of these four maybe because i like epic and dramatic songs more idk lol btw i loved that u did a second ateez video so quick i hope there will be more of them also i hope u will check out a guide and if u will i recommend the ultimate guide to ateez it is a bit long but it's so goooood
Definitely check out guerrilla and halazia, eternal sunshine, celebrate, the real, and turbulence as well to see the many insanely different sides of ateez and their music. Their B-sides are incredible too but I don’t want to overwhelm you with all that. They have a comeback on the 16th this month, I hope you’ll check it out, it’s gonna be INSANE 🫶🏻
You said in Answwer, at the part of the dessert, that maybe it's like saying that they started from nothing. And you're right. They did start from nothing. They come from a small company, and actually in their very first MV they asked to use some of the emploees cars to add to the video, cause they didn't have the funds for it. NOW however, they became really huge, one of the most known and loved boy groups, and they put a lot into their music and MV's, because now they can do it. They're saying that you can make it no matter what. You will find your way, you will be succesful. I just love them so much!
Ateez is how you say it the backstory behind their group name is A to Z meaning they have all kinds of music for everyone.. ateez also represents songs for teens hence the (tee) in ateez I believe.. I hope that made sense
I suggest you to see the ateez full guide story,,, you gonna understand everything. They have a really Amazing fictional story their is villains, alternative character's, time travel, two damnation etc. They describe their story by songs so every song is connected with others like thanxx connect to firework you will notice by the end. I can't describe everything so watch the ateez full guide 2023. Hope you gonna love it😊
This is long. I'm sorry. But if you actually read it, hopefully it helps. I'll put a few things here at the top in case the rest is a tl;dr thing for you. Bulnoriya (불놀이야) = "It's fire" (according to the Papago translation site, which I prefer for Korean translation). Please read at least the Answer and Say My Name parts since those have the most important thoughts (I think). Others have commented on how to say the group name, but just think of them as "ay-teez" (as in each one is "a tease") and it might help. The fandom name is ATINY (said "ay-tee-nee"), based on the combination of ATEEZ + destiny. General note on rewinding and pausing -- I don't think any of us really mind that much, and those who do can easily find reactions where that doesn't happen, so please always go with what feels most comfortable for you and we viewers will either appreciate it, deal with it, or spend less time on your channel. I realize that as a creator you want people here watching, but trust that'll happen without you feeling like you're not allowed to back up and re-watch things that you miss or just want to see again. Personally, I appreciate that because it shows us what you find interesting or the things that we can comment on to give background, perspective, or just our thoughts. Anywhere I say "Universe", it can be read as universe or dimension. I've seen it translated both ways, and couldn't tell you which is most appropriate because I'm still a baby in terms of lore. --- *Answer* This was actually my introduction to ATEEZ (the song first, and later my first Kpop MV), and it caught my attention in a way that I hadn't expected... so it holds a special place in my heart. I'd been listening to Korean OST music for a few months prior to hearing ATEEZ, but this song is what made me want to keep exploring Kpop. Fun fact, my phone's wallpaper is Mingi's boat scene (where he's standing up in it, but zoomed out to show the moon) -- it's such a beautiful image and it brings the song to mind whenever I unlock my phone. The 'desert' reference (as noted by others) can be clearly seen if you watch the MVs for "Pirate King" and "Treasure", which were both filmed in Morocco. They came out of a really small company and had to film the MVs in locations they could access to free, instead of paying for sets. As noted by others already, you can get a REALLY good background of all of this by watching a guide (I'm personally a fan of the "Ultimate" one by "ofallthekennys" because they have it updated for 2023 and it's got a TON of information, so you get a thorough introduction to the group and members)... whether you do a reaction to the guide or not, definitely put aside some time to watch at some point -- it's like an hour and a half long, but it's truly worth the time you invest in it. (And yes, plenty of us will sit here and watch it for the hundredth or millionth time if it means we're seeing someone else watch it for their first time, lol) As with most (if not all) of their songs, the lyrics can be interpreted in multiple ways. Yes, it can definitely be seen as a call-out to the fans, saying "Hey, we're here whenever you need us", and that's certainly a message that they've specifically given many, many times. They've made it clear that they want us to know we can count on them to be there. It's also a lore-driven meeting between the counterparts -- ATEEZ of Universe A & HALATEEZ of Universe Z -- where (I believe) ATEEZ is telling HALATEEZ "Call us and we'll be there", because they will potentially have to help with a situation happening in Strictland (Universe Z place where the government brainwashes population, outlawed all expression of human emotion i.e. art/dance/music, etc.). The thing shown walking around in the pre- and post- song parts is an Android Guardian, and it's tracking them (HALATEEZ, though likely tracking both groups at some point). You'll see AGs in other places, too... e.g., at the end of the Fireworks MV, or during the Kingdom: Legendary War stage "Answer: Ode to Joy". --- *Say My Name* There's a tie-in to Answer here (besides just having both ATEEZ and HALATEEZ present), when Wooyoung bows saying "Yes sir, responding to that call". I have no idea if there's any real significance there, but it was an interesting point to me... and they often do include tie-ins and call-backs to song names and themes. The line "My name is A to the Z" has multiple meanings to me ~ - "ATEEZ" is the name in English - refers to moving between A and Z (the universes) - could mean your counterpart in the other dimension has the same name (as far as I know, that's not confirmed, but it's a reasonable assumption) Also, the second part of Captain's rap is awesome: 에워싸 두르고 지켜봐 (Surround yourself and watch) 이름 딱 네 글자 여기다 (It's four letters) 티 나게 남겨놔 (Leave it so it's obvious) Zoom in here, Cause I’m the Captain He spells out the name using the first letter/syllable of each line. ATEEZ in Hangul (Korean writing) is 에이티즈 -- all he did was use Z instead of 즈 They don't have a Z sound, 즈 is the closest they get ... 에이티즈 sounds sort of like "ay ee tee juh". (It's also why it might sound like they're saying the name is "A to the J") --- *Thanxx* In simple terms, this is basically just telling the older generations to stop telling them how to live their lives, because they're going to make their own decisions and go their own way. For myself, I see both sides -- I get wanting to give advice because I'd hate to see kids make the same mistakes I did, but at the same time I know that making those mistakes is what allowed me to grow up into the person I am now (at 43)... I can't even imagine how I would be if I'd just listened to my parents all the time instead of pushing so hard to do things my way. When dealing with my own kids, I try my best to share my past experiences with them so they can see WHY my point of view is what it is, and then take their point of view into account as well. It's not about me just laying down the law, but rather trying to make sure their needs are met in a way that keeps them safe while also allowing them the freedom to grow into functioning adults who will be able to contribute to society in a meaningful way (not necessarily a BIG way, just a meaningful one). We only use the "back in my/our day" thing when teaching them just how much things have changed since we were their age, because understanding that it's different is important (for us as their parents, too). I've got no idea where this one falls in terms of lore, apart from the fact that one of the giant balloons in the sky is their flying pirate ship (this time with THANXX sails). --- *Fireworks (I'm the One)* I kind of love that you did THANXX right before this one, especially your reaction when it started. Mingi was on hiatus when they filmed this, and I absolutely adore how they included him in the MV without having him physically present. His rap coming through the radio with all of them literally eyes-on and paying attention... so beautiful to me. I've read other fan thoughts saying Hongjoong was "looking" for Mingi during his rap (with the flashlight), and that's a cool thought as well, whether it was done intentionally or not. Interesting note here is that the tree appears in Say My Name (art on the wall). --- So... technically there's no "wrong order". Watch and enjoy. There is an option to watch them in chronological order based on their release date, which works... but Captain has already said (in the Showterview with Sunmi) that the albums weren't released in lore-timeline order, so watching in chronological release order is more about just seeing where it began and how it progressed rather than getting the story in order. Oh, Captain also said (in the same show) that maybe 50% of the lore had been released by that time, so it's still not all out there for us, definitely more to come. There's also absolutely no rule anywhere (that I know of) to say that their behind-the-scenes lore geniuses aren't allowed to continue writing in more awesomeness as they go. And, done. Too long, I know, and again I'm sorry for that. It's just hard for me to condense things, especially when there's multiple reactions in a single video (not complaining, I actually like it done that way, just saying it means I end up giving thoughts on multiple MVs as a result, lol).
28:02 surprising a lot of non ateez fans (even some ateez fans) dislike this song. I personally really loved it in my first listen. But during this time Ateez were getting a lot of hate because of the sound of the song and the way the members were dancing (they were dancing normally so idk why they think it was bad. idk kpop Stan’s r weird)
they were dancing with actual passion (aka like they actually want to be on stage performing) and i guess some kpop stans just aren't used to seeing that or something lmao
They have some references to cheers and desert and treasures like searching for stuff and dreams also because they are pirates, i don't know if someone told you ahahahah Hongjoong is the captain. They have a story line going on too, with other dimensions, Some of their older songs sound like a pirate theme, one of those is Say My name ahaahahahah and i love it.
Ateez is my 2nd top fav group ive been to a bunch of concerts Ateez BY FAR was the most amazing best experience of my 40 years of living you must stan! and btw you here to react dnt apologize for doing just that.. its just them weirdO fans who get upset and try to delegate YOUR reaction srry to say they will always be here so get use to ignoring it and do what you want..Much love!
Ateez music is unique since half of it is tied in a Sci fi story line and that is why you might feel a bit lost when watching the m/v. You should check out a lore guide.
thank you for reacting! i hope u can react to their b-sides and albums too 🔥🔥 i love that you’re taking time to really read the lyrics keep up the good work!!

Pirate King, their debut song was filmed in a desert and they literally started from nothing. They came from a very small company, that are doing well today solely because of ATEEZ, that's what they meant at 4:40

Your reaction while transitioning into fireworks from THANXX was just too good LMAOOO
This is gonna be a bit long but i hope you read it hehe
Just a little background cuz i thought it would help:
ATEEZ [Ay-teez] debuted on October 24, 2018, under KQ Entertainment.
The group often incorporates themes of space, time, and alternate dimensions in their music and performances, emphasizing their desire to explore the world and connect with their fans on a deeper level. you can check the theory out:
[ www.ateezstoryline.com/post/ateez-storyline-updated-december-2022#:~:text=The%20main%20hypothesis%20is%20that,future%20of%20the%20same%20dimension. ] ATEEZ's music style is diverse, incorporating elements of hip-hop, EDM, rock, pop etc. They are recognized for their powerful vocals, rap skills, and impressive dance abilities. They can do all this live- its insane trust me. You should watch one of their most famous live performances at the kingdom which won number 1 in the first round itself : ruclips.net/video/-uDitNeFO-I/видео.html
Here are some other songs you should check out:
- Halazia
- Guerilla
- Hala Hala

- Eternal Sunshine
- The Real

I love your reaction’s to kpop❤
Thank you for watching them ❤️
ATEEZ NO SKIP NO BAD SONGS, YES WE WANT MORE VIDEOS I LOVED YOUR GENUINE REACTIONS! ❤
ANSWER will always be my #1 ATEEZ song.
Me too
"If you're hating on this song, you're the problem" 😂😂😂 love it!
Pronounced like Aye- tease. A to the z is just them being clever.
YES More video Ateez please 🙏🙏🙏
I think a lot of their songs can refer to their storyline, but also, with the desert, their debut MVs were set in the desert, and they were part of a small company, so the line about starting in the desert from nothing could be referring to their debut.
Listen, I tell this to everyone who gets into Ateez. If you love seeing storylines throughout music videos, pay attention to Ateez's storyline. It is so intricate & intense. Like I legitimately have a 5 page essay on their storyline alone because it is so mind bending. I promise, it is just so cool to look into.
That’s why you start with the debit and go in order. Otherwise you are confused.
the plot of answer and the black fits with the fedora and masks are part of a whole storyline of ateez, it’s a long explanation lol but to briefly explain why there’s two versions of ateez (basically cuz there is) is because there are two universes in their storyline. universe a - which is where the ateez we know are from and universe z - which is where halateez are from.
I love that you’re reacting to ATEEZ more
Ateez is pronounced A tease. Unfortunately Mingi is not in the fireworks video as he was on hiatus but they still included his vocals. Bulnoriya translates to playing with fire.
I think next you should react to Guerrila, The Real, Halazia, and Hala Hala
You have TOP TIER Ateez reactions, please continue to make more reactions of ATEEZ!!
I 100% recommend looking into their lore! Their songs and videos are based on it and it would make it much more enjoyable for you!! I look at the songs differently as I learn it.
Yessssss
ay tease is how you say it
Rewind as much as you want. It's your vid you decide how to react 😊😊😊
yoooo they dropped a music video today!!! You need to see it
BTW ATEEZ is said (hard a) a-tease
8:23 im a new atiny (hi :D) and i interpreted the second verse as explaining like where they came from? from nothing and trying their hardest in everything they did, shouting as loud as they can, and as they gained supporters and confidence they stopper caring when people said and thought ?? but the rest of the song i agree w how u under stood it !!
Oh my God, you need to see them live!!!!
The part about the desert you're asking about is their Debut song Pirate King. They filmed it in the DESERT
I think you would really enjoy the real aswell, cant wait to see it
im so glad you did more ateez! it is pronounced aye-tease!! also some of the lyrics/visuals can be hard to understand, thats because they have a very in depth story line! all mvs and such are connected :) i am glad you are enjoying ateez
bulnoriya means fireworks in korean for me i think answer and say my name are my favs out of these four maybe because i like epic and dramatic songs more idk lol btw i loved that u did a second ateez video so quick i hope there will be more of them also i hope u will check out a guide and if u will i recommend the ultimate guide to ateez it is a bit long but it's so goooood
LEGENDS, ICONS 😍😍😍🤩
Please more for ateez❤
Hope you gonna love it😊
21:55 YOUR REACTION IS SENDING MEE

*Answer*
This was actually my introduction to ATEEZ (the song first, and later my first Kpop MV), and it caught my attention in a way that I hadn't expected... so it holds a special place in my heart.
(And yes, plenty of us will sit here and watch it for the hundredth or millionth time if it means we're seeing someone else watch it for their first time, lol)
As with most (if not all) of their songs, the lyrics can be interpreted in multiple ways.

*Say My Name*
There's a tie-in to Answer here (besides just having both ATEEZ and HALATEEZ present), when Wooyoung bows saying "Yes sir, responding to that call".
I have no idea if there's any real significance there, but it was an interesting point to me... and they often do include tie-ins and call-backs to song names and themes.
The line "My name is A to the Z" has multiple meanings to me ~
- "ATEEZ" is the name in English
- refers to moving between A and Z (the universes)
- could mean your counterpart in the other dimension has the same name (as far as I know, that's not confirmed, but it's a reasonable assumption)
Also, the second part of Captain's rap is awesome:
에워싸 두르고 지켜봐 (Surround yourself and watch)
이름 딱 네 글자 여기다 (It's four letters)
티 나게 남겨놔 (Leave it so it's obvious)
Zoom in here, Cause I’m the Captain
He spells out the name using the first letter/syllable of each line.
ATEEZ in Hangul (Korean writing) is 에이티즈 -- all he did was use Z instead of 즈
They don't have a Z sound, 즈 is the closest they get ... 에이티즈 sounds sort of like "ay ee tee juh". (It's also why it might sound like they're saying the name is "A to the J")
---
*Thanxx*
In simple terms, this is basically just telling the older generations to stop telling them how to live their lives, because they're going to make their own decisions and go their own way.
---
*Fireworks (I'm the One)*
I kind of love that you did THANXX right before this one, especially your reaction when it started.
---
So... technically there's no "wrong order".
Oh we need more ATEEZ and Che that’s for sure
I hope you will react much more on the group ATEEZ please 🙏🙏
Ateez's comeback after four days !!
The snippet you heard at the end of fireworks is (the real)
More songs..
i’m loving your ateez reactions. cant wait to follow your journey ‼️
Hope you check out Guerilla and their dance practices and Halazia. Thanks // The Black Cat Nero and their Kingdom performances are wild.
So glad to be here. Saw your reaction on tiktok when you heard fireworks after you were just asking what song it was it had me DEADDDD asl
@@emmylia yup!!
Ahhhhhh thank you again for reacting to more, I can't WAIT for others from you!!!!
They have some references to cheers and desert and treasures like searching for stuff and dreams also because they are pirates, i don't know if someone told you ahahahah Hongjoong is the captain. They have a story line going on too, with other dimensions, Some of their older songs sound like a pirate theme, one of those is Say My name ahaahahahah and i love it.
but yes more ateez!!!!!
MORE ATEEZZZZ

Their bside are great too. I feel like you will love WIN, Horizon, Dazzling Light, Promise. Next guerilla and halaziaa please
Ateez is having a comeback in 2 days, hopefully you can react to it!!!
Ateez music is unique since half of it is tied in a Sci fi story line and that is why you might feel a bit lost when watching the m/v.
You should check out a lore guide.
it’s pronounce like “ay” “teez” also, they usually say “ateez present” somewhere in their songs, so you can see how it’s pronounce when you hear it
thank you for reacting! i hope u can react to their b-sides and albums too 🔥🔥 i love that you’re taking time to really read the lyrics keep up the good work!!
I don't break down the meanings of their songs. I just go by how hot they look in their outfits, how good they are at dancing, and how good their hip thrusting is!!! lol!
Pirate King, their debut song was filmed in a desert and they literally started from nothing. They came from a very small company, that are doing well today solely because of ATEEZ, that's what they meant at 4:40
The first time I heard fireworks I didn't like it, I come to publicly apologize. They are now one of my favorites
You NEED to react to xikers - tricky house it’s like ateez it’s just woaaaaw
