Yes I remember my mom would make this every Sunday. We would have something nice for dinner on Sundays like oxtail with rice and peas and vegetables. She always used Guinness in her carrot juice. I miss those days. You brought back memories for me now I’m going to have to tell my mother we need to do this again. Or at least once a month🤔.

As a child carrot juice was one of my favorite juice with Sunday dinner.
Our parents added sweetened condense milk, nutmeg, and a dash of rum.
These days I make our carrot juice with organic carrots, 1-2 organic green apples, lime juice and a dash of nutmeg.
It's still a tradition in my home but with a healthier twist.

Carrot juice is still a favourite Sunday dinner drink in Jamaica. The older adults are doing it much healthier these days with ginger, lemon or lime.

Kenton and Habiba, Yes I had my carrot drink like that in my younger years, my mom used some stout instead of rum. These days I parboil the carrots, use blender,add water, brown sugar and lime juice. No trash to discard, Jamaican subie.😎.

Next time you can try using Guinness stout instead of the rum with the carrot juice....delish😋😋. I had this drink every Sunday with dinner, as a teenager & man did I love it😍....hence my love for Devon House’s ‘Devon Stout’ ice cream😜. Great to see Kenton up to his tricks again🤣

Great, always put a Lemmon in mine then use the pulp to make carrot cake or put it in my 🥗....but yes we had carrot juice with milk and sometimes dragon stout almost every Sunday with dinner. Refreshing!!!

Hello Habiba, love to watch you, I love carrot juice, I make it the same way . The condensed milk and the other milk is fine or a can of suppligen ,water dilutes it too much. The Guinness stout takes it to another level🤗. Boiling the carrots is another way to utilize all the carrots, and I also love it with lime ginger and sweetened with sugar how grandma makes it because she did not drink milk, the cake looks delish👍

This carrot juice is Very similar to Bailey Irish cream. Looks Yummilious. Too much suger for me. I will have Just 2 sips!😊(Love from oakland California)
To avoid too much sugar just use less or no condensed milk and use regular milk instead.

Yes I grow up with carrot juice. My Grandma used to grater all the carrots. I have a juicer. Much easier.

The most tedious part is getting the fresh carrot juice, otherwise it is easy to make. Carrots + water + condensed milk + nutmeg + vanilla. Optional milk , optional rum or Guinness stout (- " If you don't have a juicer simply cut the carrots into small chunks and use a blender. After blending strain and seperate the juice from the pulp. How do you make it differently ?
