Hi, always enjoy your videos! I am having trouble logging in to scanncut. It says my I.d. and password are invalid. I have tried different New passwords and no luck. I don t know what to do . Can you help please? Keep up good work.
Thank you for the wonderful Canvas tutorials. I appreciate that you explain everything in detail, and move your mouse pointer slowly, then click and explain what is happening in the process. You have the best videos I've seen here on You Tube. Some of the other instructors for the Scan n Cut and Canvas simply go to fast.

So nice, I have baught my scan n cut few month ago, I have been too busy to look after the Scan n cut canvas, I just registred yesterday. Just after, I received my youtube week selection, it is not yet Xmas but I had a Scan n cut Canvas Tutorial from you, so lovely present. Thank you so much.
+chantalida53 It was probably a perfect time for you to register because on the day we did that video, Brother had just made some changes to the Canvas software. So the video you see here is all new to take those changes into account.
Brother introduced ScanCut Workspace...................................It DOES NOT allow for WiFI transfer to my Scan N cut!!!! When I download the "new " workspace, it took away my scan ncut canvas software!!!! I am so frustrated!!!!! Help! if anyone knows how to get back my scann cut canvas software , i would love it. BROTHER FIX this please. thanks Susan
We are still able to access the online version without any problem so not sure what issue you are experiencing here. This is the link to the online version (canvasworkspace.brother.com/) and we can still login to it okay and access saved projects etc and use the Wifi function. Also in the new downloadable version, we were able to transfer files wirelessly by clicking 'FILE' and then 'Transfer FCM file' from the top menu bar. If that doesn't work then there may be something going on with your account. You might have to contact Brother directly on this one. (We've also just recently created a video on the new downloadable Canvas Workspace. You can view that here: ruclips.net/video/53-ifQiUeYM/видео.html)
Hi is it possible to to use svg files created with photoshop in the canvas software? That way I can align my text & graphics with my shape and save one png file for printing the paper including text/graphics & a separate svg file for the shape to be cut out on my custom printed paper....hope that makes sense.....great tutorial
I just did a quick test in Photoshop to see if this would work. I created a simple circle, saved it as an SVG and opened it up in Canvas. It worked perfectly. So yes, you can bring in SVG files saved in Photoshop.
how to download a project from canvas projects to scan n cut canvas they changed it and now you need to download and unzip but how do you get the project to scan n cut canvas I hate when they change things this is hard it use to be easy thank you
You can still take the files into Canvas to edit them. Just click on the project you are interested in and a pop-up will appear. Then hold your mouse over each of the files and you will see two options appear. The first option is the one you want. Click on that and it will open the pattern in ScanNCut Canvas.

It seem their design software is leaping forward with each update. The new projects offered in the update should keep me busy for awhile. Look forward to more of your videos. Any idea what the arrow pointing left on the canvas is supposed to do?

Thanks your video help alot am so use to scal or mtc . just buy a used cm100dm am loving it already. figure how to use scal to covert files to fcm n transfer to usb to put to machine to cut. now want to learn to use this too.

Yes Susan it can be used for any version of the machine. This is the software that just allows you to create cutting files. However the online version has changed a bit since we did this video so the appearance may be a little different to the video. There is also now a downloadable version of Canvas Workspace for both PC and Mac

Why will Canvas NOT insert some JPG files? When I try with different JPG files, I get a message that this file type is not supported.
I get the same problem Lois. I'm not sure why it happens to certain images but sometimes I can get them working again by simply resaving the image. So I will open up the jpg in an image editing program like Photoshop and then immediately save it again as a .jpg. It doesn't always work but worth a try.
i hope i can use my CM900 when it arrives later this week. I have a Silhouette cameo #2 that i cant get past turning on, but you make the SNC look so much more user friendly.

It's so much fun to use, We love our machines and use them almost on a daily basis.Just in case you interested we have a fully comprehensive Training Program. Question: can you use a cricut mat with this product?
The circuit mats won't work in the ScanNCut as the ScanNCut mats have a type of barcode at the top and the bottom and these are what the machine recognises when you load the mats.
Hello, please could you help me ??? I have recently purchased a cm 900. During unpacking my machine I lost my scratchy card, can I connect my scan n cut machine to my computer with all the necessary wiring and modum and get registered to scan n cut canvas that way please, or will my machine accept another scratchy card details if I purchase a replacement one and register that way. I would very much appreciate a response of help, thankyou.
Are you in Australia? I assume you are since you have a CM900. In Australia, you don't need the Activation Card. The WiFi is built in, so you won't need to go and buy a card. Just follow the instructions in your manual on how to connect to WiFi.

Yes it is. You can scan through documents to save to your computer or you can scan things through to turn into cutting files.

Also I have one more question...I am looking a machine but I need it "only for create stencils".
Do you think it machine (you are showing us) is a good option for me ? Or maybe I need to look something less expensive?
