If Paris didn’t think they could accommodate hosting an Olympics, they never should have bid for it. At the very least, the athletes should be able to have air-conditioning in their housing. And the Seine River sounds like it’s been an ongoing problem for 100 years. I feel sorry for those participating. Doesn’t sound like a fun time at all.

All the rankings call out Indian rivers for being the most polluted, but that's overall mass of waste in the rivers, but if you count waste density per cubic meter of water, you'll mostly find Western rivers, or Chinese ones. Even in total mass of waste, Chinese rivers like Yellow and Yangtze are up there, plus the Communist Party isn't known for truthful reporting.

This is just one of the reasons why I remain so irritated by the constant and dire warnings about the end of the world due to climate change. If, as claimed, we are mere moments from our demise, then why allow jetliners to operate, for any automobile traffic, and why allow cattle to be raised, etc?
