My brother has a really nice EH he recently bought, an original survivor car in excellent condition, no rust or accident damage, just a beautifully preserved old girl. 149 with manual 3 speed. gorgeous car.

Had an EH many years ago fitted with a 327 Chevy V8. It was a monster of a car Did not like corners. But it was very fast

My Grandfather had an EH Panel Van and drove it off-road as in no road through the Bush collecting Native Plant seeds. How he never hit a stump I don't know how as the grass was usually door high. He'd take it in low gear along slopes near dry creek beds with me as passenger staring at the fall I thought we were about to have. It had scratches down both sides from the bushes/trees we'd drive pass. And he'd take his radiator out and clean it in a bath of Coke to dissolve the Insects. Never missed a beat and years later was restored by a young man who became an enthusiast.

So an EH is more sought after and worth more than an EJ. SOunds good to me . The back of an EJ is just beautiful and would prefer it over EH anytime.

It was. Nowadays, the EJ is the much nicer and more desirable I would say. The beautiful rake of the wave from side as the side strip lowers towards the back. The lovely roof line and rear window and that famous rear end. Those subdued fins, and lovely simple and elegant tail lights. The EJ is gold. As for the grey motor, well they had kits for them that gave them 130 HP. For the shitty brakes, weak diff and all that, I suppose you would want to bolster that some how, with out destroying the originality too much.

My god the panel gaps were so huge on that Panel Van that they used as the feature car. You could literally fit your thumb in the gap between the back of the front guard and the front edge of the door. They don't make 'em like they used to hey - thankfully!

These cars are both ugly and bland, and too many doors. Must be an Australian thing.

Like dropping a v8 into the back of a Holden ute and calling it a corvette must be an American thing.

fred derf , I agree that new Vette is a big disappointment. The side scoops are cartoonish for one thing. I think GM really goofed messing with the layout of the Corvette. If they really wanted a ‘super car’, they should have branded it a Cadillac, building on their LeMans car image, or they should have made it a new standalone brand. As for Aussie styled GM cars, I’m a huge fan of the early 70’s Holden GTS coupes and the Utes of the same era. But the Holden shown here is just ugly, sorry.

Matt Kustom Kostumes didn't you hear him say the eh was full us design

Big Ears yes I did. The US designers obviously made a hit for Oz. But I don’t think it would have flown in the States.
