Such a lacklustre ability for such a cool character. His originally datamined ability of destroy all 6 cost cards was way more interesting and much more fitting of someone called the God Butcher!
Ooh right! The old idea is cool but on an average game... it would only ever destroy one or two enemy cards. Would also really require good priority management to catch opponent's six card. On the other hand, it could also make a fun fenris package?
It sounds awesome but think about how many 6 costs actually come into play each game. 1, maybe 2. Rarely 3. I think this ability is better but still should be different I feel like
@@exdee__ A better Ajax? Think about this for a second, how many 6 cost you get to see the enemy play on a regular deck, now add the fact that you'd have to lose priority for it to even be useful whatsoever. If that didn't give you the picture on why it would suck hard, then idk what to tell you.

@@jeffsenecal4168Alex and Cozy mentioned like 6 different things that are horrible and 3 of those are plain insulting. Horrible job there, little Second Dinner bot

Calling it 2.0 when they made it worse with the removal of bots only made the grind that much more insufferable. Especially for people with families over the holidays where they won't have the time to play as much.

Great content guys. DD has eroded all the good will I had for the Devs. In my opinion they are acting in bad faith. The series drops was the final nail in the coffin for me.
Appreciate reflections on fun/gotcha mechanics! As a non-content creator and somone who only spends on season passes to sustain the game, I'm still having a lot of fun. New cards each week, pocket metas to solve and an ever changing landscape. Improvements are necessary but as someone who doesnt have time to play console games like i used to, this scratches an itch that nothing else comes close to right now.
i can count on one hand how many dd games i’ve played so far this month and it’s already cured me of my fomo, like i’ve played snap 2 days in the last week when i normally play everyday
rental decks, rental cards, temporary free card rotations, theres so many ideas they can take from other games that will make the experience for new players a lot more enjoyable. i dont want to wait 2,3,4 months to have fun. i want to have fun now.
I’m still gonna play SNAP but I been playing for 2 years now and I never seen the game at such a low point. The last few weeks/month you can see the community is dying down and a lot folks aren’t happy.. SD continues to brush off the suggestions and issues a lot of us have with the card acquisition and metas… It’s like their out of touch and it reminds of NBA 2K MyTeam, if anyone’s played that mode it’s very very similar to SNAP except with NBA Cards and that play base died cause of similar issues with SNAP…
What does sd have against a draft mode? I feel like the whole community would love it and it wouldn’t be a hard system to implement considering a secondary website can do it already
@@PhastosEnioyer what if they made the draft party mode where you just play for fun, whilst buffing rewards on ladder to incentivize still playing that? Kinda like how clash Royale did it idk if you’ve ever tried that game
Alex! Cozy! I'm glad you talked about Scream! I can't believe it!! I'm on a massive win streak with my Scream deck! Currently 16-0-1!!! 16 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie. If you count the tie as a win, (which is debatable), that's a 16 game win streak!!! A 7 win streak, followed by a 9 win streak if the tie doesn't count as a win. This is not a joke or a lie!! 🤯
There's no doubt gorr will be getting nerfed. I'm calling it probably going to be changed to a 6/3 and giving him a +1 per on revel. Or affecting only one side of the field
All they need to do is going forward and retroactively give everyone 2000 tokens per 1000 collections level. So if you're at 10 999 you would get 20000 tokens and when you hit 11000 you would get another 2000 tokens
I know you guys are down on Eitri, but as a Thor gamer he’s a godsend. His animation is cool, he makes the deck more reliable, and in Lockjaw he’s fun. What’s actually been revealed is how insanely strong other decks have become. Because this deck with Eitri (and lets even remove Frigga to be fair) would have absolutely run the show a year ago or so. But it’s fighting for every last point of power in today’s game. I won so many fun games this weekend, so I’m not entirely upset, but dang. 24 power used to mean something haha
Starting to feel like Cozy is very unhappy with the state of the game and just pushing himself through making content which sucks to see. Am excited to follow his Rivals channel though
I was VERY undecided when it came to GORR, you sold me when talking about the scream deck. It’s been my sleeper favorite, but as you said Magneto doesn’t feel like enough sometimes. Going to try hard for him this week, fingers crossed it’s a one tap for me
I adjusted my decks too many times to count but just played with a destroy deck and stopped taking it so serious. I went from 200k to 4million in two days. Just play two ranks lower and play safe have fun it’s not that bad
@ what cl are you? I was getting destroyed by way higher level players but I just kept going and it’s gotten better. I’m a 1500 cl and I was playing against 45k cl
I find it amusing that just as Spectrum is a On Reveal finisher card for a deck of Ongoing cards, so does Gorr feel like an Ongoing finisher card for an On Reveal deck.
As long as they carry over your variants, I would love more random deck game modes like Alex said. To show more of your strategy than what cards you have, and using the most OP deck at the time.
I think King Eitri works better as "On Reveal: Play a 0 cost card at this location from your deck". This will make him work in Mister Negative decks too
I do think Alex’s reward idea for Snap Roulette has some legs. What probably is more realistic would be something like if you win the series you get 1 card at random from your winning deck, and if it’s a card you already own it morphs into a variant. If it didn’t give a variant and it just turned to resources if it’s a duplicate I think we’d be pretty salty
gorr will be nerfed to red hulk levels of power if needed, no doubt about that. however, the selling point of this card is a big body in av/negative decks. if you play those and you probably should, i can see gorr being a must have
For card acquisition, I think they should make it so that the first time each week that you use a spotlight key, you're guaranteed to get a card you don't already have. After that everything works the way it does now. I know I would roll for variants in that case where I never do now. I think it would let FTP/Monthly Pass Only players be able to keep up better, and the whales would still have plenty to chase after.
Negative, and bounce I love them both, looking forward to picking up Gorr… Hopefully his appearance will last longer and be better than on screen 12:12
I just don’t understand how Deadpool’s diner is supposed to be fun. If you lose you can’t play for a while and you get a screen asking for money. 🖕 thanks but no thanks I’ll just stop playing your game for the next 8 hours.
after seeing the drops, im gonna stop paying for season passes and\or stop playing completely. gonna find a game that takes me and my wallet seriously.
Alex's roulette idea was similar to an event in Clash Royale. Was a fun mode then but I think it'd be even better in Snap due to the card acquisition issue.
Withholding of fun is such a great way of phrasing it. I've spent about $40 on this game to date, and have already stopped playing once before. Since I've come back I've enjoyed it, but it's already starting to fade after 3 months of play, and I haven't dropped any more money on the game, since it's impossible to keep up.
They should have for new players once you have all of series 2, to offer them an intro pack for a deck arch type. Each pack should have 1 series 5, 1 series 4, and 3 series 3. 1 pack for bounce, 1 for destroy, 1 for discard, etc. This allows new players a jumping off point by provided an almost complete deck.
Its kind a hard to believe them when this was the goal 2 years ago ""However, i will say that at some point cards entering series 5 and 4 need to equal cards being downgraded from Series 4->3, or else Token Shop cards will infinitely inflate, causing new players to have an insurmountable hill to climb. What this means is that if we add 1 new card a week to series 5, you'll see 1 card go from Series 4 -> 3 a week as well (on average, we might do this migration in batches, not sure yet). So even players who never spend a single token will eventually have the same pace of new cards (just later)" -Ben Brode
Thank you Cozy for pointing them out the spending is too far out of reach, $75 bundle for just 1 card, the amount of greed is reaching like diablo immortal. If they can do 1 or all 3 of these will help. 1. Speed up the Series 3 collection, before handing out bunch of useless avatar and pixel variants, Stop give us 1 Series 3 card every 100~125 lvls. they come after the completion of series 3. 2. Give us 1 card (Series 3/4) for the Gold Pass at the end of the pass. 3. Season Pass comes with a random 3/4 series card, and we get to pick one, All of these will help us normal player to consistently spend $15 a month to play the game to keep the game going, but without felt been squeezed out your entire bank acct, IF company keep doing this, that’s a huge big fat finger to non creator player. Time to drop the game, make the game dead, so they will listen. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Ravonna is gonna work with Gorr with the way ongoings track live in hand since she looks for current power and not base power
I think window of effectively play and how constrained the order of play is a good criteria for grading cards side from versatility or specificity of archetype.
The main issue with negative is if you miss it then the end of the deck doesn’t work as well. Personally I’d have liked if anti venom did something more to help fill the gap in case you miss negative.
Interesting idea Alex, though it would be a nightmare to balance as the meta shifts (maybe with a smaller pool). And Cozy's right, they would NEVER give away a potential 12 cards...
Re: Pocket's rental decks, I was very disappointed to learn that they can only be used in the Solo mode (i.e., games vs. AI). Since you get only a limited number of rentals for each deck, I really felt like they could have allowed them for playing against other players. The way it is right now, I don't think I'll even use up all of the 10 rentals you get for each deck.
Easy for veteran players to say DD is fun or the climb is easy. I am at 2.8K CL and I hate the game mode because I am constantly paired against 10K+ CL players ALL of the time. It is beyond frustrating and has actually made me really dislike this game because it is NOT tailored to new players and because of that this game is likely going to die because they can’t attract and keep new players and they can’t keep established players because SD is too greedy.
43:43 Loooove this ideia! Marvel Snap is in a very good meta right now, and even the monatizantion stuff is so above every other game. Still very fun. If I start to get bored, just change decks. So many creative decks out there. I think people get caught up in having all cards and playing only whats the top 10 most played decks (which is so boring)
Alex great idea with gambits roulette…since SD would never give a full deck, maybe they give a 3 piece staple for you to grab (Thor, bill, Jane-annihilus, sentry, hood-thena, kitty, Angela-etc.) that way you may not just win an entire deck but you have the core pieces to build around whichever deck tickles your fancy. Also, snap wheel would be an equally amazing mode to just turn things upside down. This is why a game with such a great core is so frustrating. All the pieces are there. We are on year 2 and there hasn’t been a permanent mode added other than conquest, which is next to dead. The IP can make these modes so fun, the flavor of Deadpool’s diner is great, we all love Deadpool but man does this mode feel bad, grindy and redundant, especially compared to high voltage which was a home run.
I think gorr will take over in the Wiccan QS decks. Great plug in with Ravona instead of mirage and most likely a big guy at the end that can be played at 5 with ravona
Eitri should have an ongoing effect that buffs mjolnir and stormbreaker, it'd make him worth a bit more in the asgardian deck even if you dont utilise his draw
I got some medical grade hopium for you: Gorr on discard lmfao Silver Samurai or Moon Knight into ghost rider shenanigans. At least discard has a lot of on reveals
I enjoy the Thor/Bill deck. I read those comics when they first came out. Its SO hard to play the deck though. One card off and you're in trouble. Any suggestions on what can be done or a card added that would make the deck more playable and increase the win rate?

Snap has made getting cards harder and harder, slower and slower. It defeats the purpose and causes me to play casually, then stop playing for a time. More fun would equal more play time.
Lol the fact SD offered me a "for you!" Jean Grey bundle for $99 is hilarious
As if theyre trying to remove unsold product from series 4 before the drop 😂
Scumbags
I can see gorr being a staple in Mr negative
How long did it take you to figure that out?
@@erhestor1950 💀
Do you get than +1 energie and 6 Power? 😂
@@erhestor1950 idk
Yeah, probably replace Wong or Taskmaster
Judging from the comments over the last couple of weeks a lot of people are being pushed over the edge to simply quit snap because SD not only doesnt care about the player base which is painfully obvious but they are doing everything in their power to push people away from snap with their shitty decisions. Good job SD. When your game fails you will only be able to blame yourself.
I’m quitting it’s ridiculous
@@Khemsa1992 It's so difficult to get cards that the game is starting to feel like a chore, and it's hard to even take a break because you feel like you'll fall behind.
So quitting is going to be irreversible, basically for everyone.
Idk I'm still enjoying the heck out of it. Maybe part of that is related to the fact that I don't really play the game because I'm looking for the devs to "care" about me. They ain't my momma. 😂 Seriously, so many Felicia's whine about mobile games and make these public 'threats' that they may quit. I see this trend as a potential indicator that mental wellness may be disproportionately low among the gaming community. I simply can't imagine complaining (repeatedly or perpetually) about something you are doing as a recreational activity? Sir is it not rational that if you aren't enjoying it then why, not only continue to play and to be so involved that you also watch content related to the game, yet it is causing you negative emotions to the point you are compelled to focus on the negative aspects of the experience and go as far as to vent, pouring out anger, frustration and visceral angst to strangers in a public forum. To be honest my friends,.. that doesn't sound like a hobby, that sounds like an unhealthy addiction. Repeating a negative impact or harmful behavior without being able to simply make the choice to stop.. how you are well everyone.
@@geedlesb1297see yah Felicia!
@@batmanwins5701 I don't think you get to comment on anyone else's mental state when you go on an unhinged, error- and typo-filled rant like you just did...
On paper it sounds fun and appropriate, in practice it would be a garbage card.
@@stephenc7576 it's a better version of Ajax wym
It sounds awesome but think about how many 6 costs actually come into play each game. 1, maybe 2. Rarely 3. I think this ability is better but still should be different I feel like
@@exdee__ A better Ajax? Think about this for a second, how many 6 cost you get to see the enemy play on a regular deck, now add the fact that you'd have to lose priority for it to even be useful whatsoever. If that didn't give you the picture on why it would suck hard, then idk what to tell you.
Cannot WAIT to hear your thoughts on the Series Drop. It is an absolute DISASTER IMO, and if y'all are all contemplating moving to Rivals more heavily nobody can blame you after today. So so disappointing.
I can't fathom just how bad it is... I figured it would disappoint, but if true, the leak is just devastating bad.
Drops aren't out yet though.
@@TheGingerlieBuddy, the official announcement has been leaked, lol. What good does it do live in a "teCHniCally NOt" world when you are the fool in an hour?
Or do you think SD leaked it on purpose to gauge reception and do a 180?
What you mean move to rivals .why do people act like you can't play multiple games...so you can only play 1 game at a time ?? gamers now days are crazy lol
Then rivals is a totally different game wtf lol.
Voltage needs to be a full time game mode. Keep conquest for the people who have time in their hands. Bring back xmen theme and avengers theme card connections like they did in the summer. That was fun.
gorr could be good as a backup finisher in bounce along with free 1 drops from black swan
I can see him being good in a Thor based deck. The last turn play all hammers and finish with Gorr is insane
Love how real this was, Snap is great but even a dolphin can get easily left behind by having a busy week and or just being burnt out. The Snap Chat is awesome, keep it up Cozy and Alex!
Deadpool's Diner was a massive slap in the face to everyone that suffered through the first one. Thinking they learned from that and were going to improve the new version but only made it worse.
I do not understand.
@@jeffsenecal4168Alex and Cozy mentioned like 6 different things that are horrible and 3 of those are plain insulting.
Horrible job there, little Second Dinner bot
@@jeffsenecal4168 They took out the bots so the grind is considerably worse. There's huge gaps in bubs where you have to grind an excessive amount like the 80k to 400k to 2 million to 10 million. It's deliberate too to try to goad people into buying bubs with gold.
The devs were given a ton of feedback on how to improve this the first time around. Calling it 2.0 when they made it worse with the removal of bots only made the grind that much more insufferable.
Especially for people with families over the holidays where they won't have the time to play as much.

I don’t even know which of the two games you’re trying to hype up lmao.
Both suck ass right now.
I have a genius idea. What if, during weekend missions the new card is available for everyone. You get to do the mission, get few extra tokens, test the card. If you like it you can go for it and buy it. Doesnt solve everything but sounds cool in my head
3:40 sadly not a banger at all 😔
really interested in your opinions on the shitty series drop leaks, also ties in with the poor experience deadpools diner offers
Leaking like a trash bag full of holes
Alex's Gambit gamemode idea... omg let this man cook!
I know its part of their marketing, but they HAVE to drop the idea that people, by default, shouldn't be collection-complete. Imagine making a card game and not wanting people to have the cards......it was a miss from the very beginning
It’s a ploy to justify what they do. Same with the other line they spew “you can’t spend 100s of dollars to have all the cards”. Nope but you can spend thousands for that privilege 😂
I’m not even gonna waste my keys. This is an instant grab with the tokens.
Hell no 😂
@@V1Variantlet’s see how well this ages next week once they review the card.
@@JamaalSTL nah if it's not a tech card then it's not worth 6k tokens.....no card is right now, last card I got for 6k was Jeff....never regretted it neither lol
@@V1Variant I agree that 6k tokens is probably never worth it, but mind you, this person is buying it to save keys (which are also valuable) and even then, if it's a card they find fun, then I say just let them have their fun lmao (I wasted 3 dud keys on Fenris and caved, bought the remaining amount of gold I needed and just bought Fenris from the token shop; I'm pathetic, I know lmao)
Im also buying Gorr with keys
Gorr might rival release Red Hulk and Blob in terms of size, but he's not worth 6k to me and his spotlight is atrocious
37:31 you just described marvel snap as a whole lmao
I’m brewing up Gorr ideas with Green Goblin / Hood & Viper / Kate Bishop / Malaketh.. etc. deck🤞🤞
i can count on one hand how many dd games i’ve played so far this month and it’s already cured me of my fomo, like i’ve played snap 2 days in the last week when i normally play everyday

He can be also a Wiccan card
@@V1Variant How do you not see this card being stupid? In the same vein as red hulk? I'm all for it though, I like big power cards.
Master mold might be good with Gor. It’s on reveal and gives your opponent on reveals they might be forced to use
rental decks, rental cards, temporary free card rotations, theres so many ideas they can take from other games that will make the experience for new players a lot more enjoyable. i dont want to wait 2,3,4 months to have fun. i want to have fun now.
Guys I love your podcast but after these series drops I'm done man, this game is going down the drain and SD is doing fuck all
I’m still gonna play SNAP but I been playing for 2 years now and I never seen the game at such a low point.
Hopefully the Thanos/Arishem deck going round doesn't make them reconsider the Thanos rework.
Man, I checked out of the game last week so burned out on the acquisition. Going to still watch you two banter about the game though!
What does sd have against a draft mode? I feel like the whole community would love it and it wouldn’t be a hard system to implement considering a secondary website can do it already
Probably reduces demand for cards and for players to play other modes.
@@sushibooshiexactly this. Nobody will care about their collections once draft comes out
@@PhastosEnioyer what if they made the draft party mode where you just play for fun, whilst buffing rewards on ladder to incentivize still playing that? Kinda like how clash Royale did it idk if you’ve ever tried that game
27:15 They need to make it Activate and play a card that didn't start in your deck
Alex!
Mailbag: Why doesn’t the game do a series drop each month (even a few cards) and show only series 5 cards in spotlight cashes. Problem solved.
All they need to do is going forward and retroactively give everyone 2000 tokens per 1000 collections level. So if you're at 10 999 you would get 20000 tokens and when you hit 11000 you would get another 2000 tokens
Alex you’r on fire! The Gambits Roulette game mode is a home run idea.
This is the only snap content creator who doesn't cry every 5 min and threatens to quit the game.
Great videos, great vibes, subbed 👌
Am excited to follow his Rivals channel though
this series drop shows they not gonna change a damn thing. Slap to the players faces
I can think of a deck with negative power cards with mr. Negative and anhilluss with gorr
I was VERY undecided when it came to GORR, you sold me when talking about the scream deck. It’s been my sleeper favorite, but as you said Magneto doesn’t feel like enough sometimes. Going to try hard for him this week, fingers crossed it’s a one tap for me
"It's not about the ceilin- it's about the quality of the floor" is a bar! 🔥
"Maybe 'Deadpool's Diner' has you down."
I have done nothing but lose 20+ games in a row. How'd you know?
I can relate, brother
I adjusted my decks too many times to count but just played with a destroy deck and stopped taking it so serious. I went from 200k to 4million in two days. Just play two ranks lower and play safe have fun it’s not that bad
@@TheRealChigs Been playing two ranks lower. Still losing. :(
@ what cl are you?

Oh god Alex’s video and sound is off sync by about half a second
I like reading lips as they talk 😅
I feel like Cozy edited that way on purpose to poke fun at Alex's ongoing tech woes😅
Does baron zemo steal gorr if he’s in deck still?
Yes
I appreciate you guys calling out second dinner for their greed. You're the voice for every player 🙏🏻
gorr will be nerfed to red hulk levels of power if needed, no doubt about that. however, the selling point of this card is a big body in av/negative decks. if you play those and you probably should, i can see gorr being a must have
26:58 there is so much things you can do on turn 5 already in these decks that you don't need it. He is basically second Jane Foster
Im thinking kat bishop and wiccan will go pretty well with Gorr. You get all the on reveal arrows, and extra energy to circumvent his clunky cost.
Negative, and bounce I love them both, looking forward to picking up Gorr… Hopefully his appearance will last longer and be better than on screen 12:12
the stocks of destroy and ongoing decks will rocket up on his release
You know what’s better than “renting “ a deck? Owning a deck. I’m sorry but I got to give it to Alex on that one.
35:15 lmao Alex
Am I the only one who thinks the way Cozy says 'hello' is insane lol
Invisible Woman -> Mystique -> Gilgamesh on one lane, while turns 1 and 4 are spent using cheap onreveals and Gorr on 6 looks to be really powerful
Seeing you guys smile this episode makes me feel a little better about todays series drops news :')
They’re smiling because they don’t know what the drops were lol. Wait until the next podcast
@Moddox77 yeah I know... We're gonna hear a lot of sadness next week
Its kind a hard to believe them when this was the goal 2 years ago
""However, i will say that at some point cards entering series 5 and 4 need to equal cards being downgraded from Series 4->3, or else Token Shop cards will infinitely inflate, causing new players to have an insurmountable hill to climb.
3. Season Pass comes with a random 3/4 series card, and we get to pick one,
All of these will help us normal player to consistently spend $15 a month to play the game to keep the game going, but without felt been squeezed out your entire bank acct,
IF company keep doing this, that’s a huge big fat finger to non creator player. Time to drop the game, make the game dead, so they will listen.
Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
Cozy if you have a storage unit for holiday decorations, you might need to downsize my dude 😅
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Ravonna is gonna work with Gorr with the way ongoings track live in hand since she looks for current power and not base power
Could Agent venom + Gorr in a bounce deck be a good play line?
Yes.
" Do you think the floor of Goor could before? "
It’s an AMAZING idea and that’s why it’s never gonna happen.
Hey now! Emperor Hulkling has quickly become my favorite card in the game. Don't be dissing my Emperor Hulkling 😂😂😂
