you should play the eclise mod for pvz2, it's a balanced version with unlockable premium plants through beating levels and there's no leveling plants system but instead a tier system where you can change your plants with different but fair stats (like a another version of the plant) eg: magnet shroom tier 1: 50 sun, fast recharge but slow decaying material process tier 2: 100 sun, a little bit slower recharge but with fast material decaying process tiering is not mandatory because when tiering, you can make your plant worse or better. As I said earlier, it's like a new version of the plant in each tier (there are optional 3 tiers) with each to their own weaknesses and strengths in each tier

Thing is the hypnoshroom is one use and turns one zombie onto their friends basically taking two out with one stone. But the zoybean pod is multi use and can make multiple zomboids to take out pretty much all zombies in the lane with one stone and multiple pebbles.
You should put the shrooms further back so the gargantuars you get have more time on screen. Edit : same for the soy beans. You don't need this many sunflowers. And if you did, having them bodyblock would still be better.

honestly the hypno shroom is really underpowered compared to they Zoybean and Caulipower. they should give the hypno shroom a rework and make it a sort of explosive plant where it hypnotizes zombies in a 3x3 area.
