The ELN surprises especially with its obscure links
Born from the Cuban revolution, reputed to be more radical than the FARC, the ELN is surprising above all by its obscure links with the Catholic religion and by its propensity to blow up oil pipelines and extort multinational companies. The ELN is nicknamed the
“petroguerilla”. Carried out on the border with Venezuela, this dive into the ELN’s zone of influence allows us to better understand its power of influence. There, a huge multinational extracts black gold to the great dismay of a population which hardly benefits from it, and which, abandoned to its fate by the central State, would rather tend to support the rebels.
